Loved this episode! Dougal found a friend and got into a little trouble. Father Ted to the rescue! Oh, and we can't forget about Mrs. Doyle. The queen of the egg sandwich! 🤣

We hope you are having a great week! Enjoy the reaction.

Cheers Mate!

Maybe my favourite episode. Some unnecessary context, Old Grey Whistle Test was the name of an old music review tv programme, way back before Top Of The Pops.

Top of the Pops pre dates the old Grey Whistle Test by 7 years. But 'Test' was better coz all the music was actually played live.

Loving the Dortmund shirt in the background, they had a great team in the mid 90s when they won the European Cup. ⚽

Oh thanks, I had no idea ToTPs was that old.

Cats does Countdown is much more recent than Ted which is late 90s - Cats is still running. Of course the proper show Countdown has been running since the early 80s (and is iconic TV, culturally it’s as familiar as Jeapordy say). If you ever get onto I’m Alan Partridge you’ll see the two creators and writers of Ted in an episode as they were working next door to the creators and writers of Alan Partridge and had a bit of a friendly competition with them at the time. Comedy is still a very small world in the UK though even today, the more you watch the more you’ll see familiar faces and references

Hi Greg and Lisa, loving these Father Ted reactions here in Ireland. I wonder has anyone asked you guys about doing 'The Royle Family' reactions ? Its one of the best UK comedies. Its about a family in Manchester, all set in the one house and its based around the daily happenings in their lives. Definitely would be interesting to see how you guys would take to it. Keep it in mind down the line and keep up the good work.

The Royale Family? No, not yet. I haven't heard of that one yet. I'll hold onto that one. It's BBC so it may have to be a Patreon only series but that's cool. (BBC is super strict on their copyright stuff- Could be worth trying to upload it though) Thanks Steven! ~ Lisa
