Redundancy money is the same as severance money. If your employer let's you go you could be entitled to redundancy money the amount depends on how long you have been with the company, the longer you have been there the more rm you get. "Redundant " means no longer needed😒 quite harsh really 😂❤️

Yes, and there quite strict laws around redundancy. Basically if you are made redundant then that job as been deemed as no longer required at the company (so the person being made redundant isn’t at fault - it’s just their job ceases to exist). As part of that the company is unable to recruit or advertise for that job role or anything that is obviously similar for at least 6 months, and I think there’s a clause in there that should they need to recruit in that period then they need to give the person they let go first refusal on not less favourable terms than before (but I’m not entirely sure). The problem is some companies get around it now with contracts which say they can end your employment with x weeks or months notice for no reason, so if they want to restructure they invoke that, and give everyone notice but offer to keep/“reemploy” those who agree to the new contract
