Hello Patreon Legends! 🎉

We had so much fun with you all on our live stream! Thank you to everyone who joined us as we pulled the top 5 poll picks out of the hat to decide what's replacing Fawlty Towers on our Classic Series Day!

And the winner is… The Vicar of Dibley! 🎊We are genuinely excited about this one. We've heard wonderful things and we cannot wait to dive in and watch it with you all.

Thank you again to everyone who voted and joined the hat draw. It wouldn't be the same without you. See you soon for the first episode! 💛

I am very, very pleased about this 😁

Can't wait for this!

Excellent result! Love The Vicar of Dibley and it doesn't get reacted to all that much! It's such a lovely show - as gentle as Detectorists and as bonkers as Father Ted - you'll really enjoy it, I'm sure! 😃😎 One Foot in the Grave is my favourite sitcom of all time so hope you get to it at some point but Megan Ruth has just started it, so I'm happy for now, haha! 😃

Sorry I missed the live steam, good pick though, I'm sure you'll like The Vicar of Dibley. I'd have enjoyed any of them to be honest :)

Cat

While it wasn’t on my own shortlist I’m looking forward to your reaction to it (have seen all three series anyway before too!) Great Livestream and chat (am on there as catslifeandstyle as just “Cat” was obviously taken!) and looking forward to joining another soon 😘

No no no... yes!

Alice

While it wasn't one of my top choices I wanted to see it was still up there and definitely one I'll be watching.

Silk

I’ll absolutely watch this with you

Kevin Hussey

It’s worth noting that there’s a slightly odd order to the 20 episodes. S1 6 episodes 2 specials S2 4 episodes S3 4 episodes (sometimes called the Seasonal Specials) Then the last 4 specials

I love that description! Glad Megan is doing OFITG for you. I hadn’t heard of her before. She seems cute. Lisa

It's a very well suited show for you guys to react to. I think you will enjoy it.

I think this is a great shout to have a female lead comedy. Dawn French is as an inspiration for future female comics alongside Jennifer Saunders. I grew up watching them in the 90s

2026-09-17 15:00 I remember Lisa mentioning that she'd seen Harry Potter - the lead actress in this played a small part in one of those movies. It'll be fun to see if you recognise her. It's a tough one, though. 🙂

Proper mum TV, some amusing bits but .....

Joshua Smith

Vicar of Dibley is fun. Feels very 90s. I think you will have so many references you may not get. Even ones that people in the UK may not get, as they are very about very specific 90s people.

Joshua Smith

It's well written and I enjoy watching it.

SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS! Mighty Boosh, Inside No 9, Vicar of Dibley etc makes every penny of subscription worthwhile.
