Joe screwed his win of this episode with the cheap earrings.

Neil Tristram

I used to live 5 minutes away from Liphook 🤣

lou and iain we knew g+l would vote for but i don't think we were expecting sian

EuanTyumi

Awwww damn I wis gonna guess Sian for Greg's pick and changed my mind to Lou at the last second, shoulda gone with ma gut. Without a doubt your best subscribe to the channel thus far, Greg! I can also massively relate to your struggle with the drinks machine and looking like you don't know what you're doing haha! Iain's from Edinburgh, in the Central Belt the eastern accents are a lot softer than the western ones, he doesn't sound like he wants to stab you like I do. Impressive that you both were close to guessing two of the moustaches with the dots and worms!

shirley bassey is a singer, she did 3 bond songs - goldfinger, diamonds are forever and then moonraker. She didn't really sing moonraker live in concerts as she said the song wasn't written for her (she was substituted in to sing it but the original is still available before the intended artist was going to record it). Her performance of goldfinger put her into fame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D1nK7q2i8I and going back to monty python, the singer of life of brian (sonia jones) was only 16 when she sung it in the same Shirley bassey style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbwzH19_e8k you can hear the influence from goldfinger

Nick Jarrett

and Dame is the female equivalent of Sir, so dame judy dench, dame Shirley bassey, up there with sir Stephen fry for their contribution to culture so you can kind of guess why they gasped when they heard her name

Nick Jarrett

morecambe and wise (eric and ernie), dont forget to react to their breakfast sketch 😆 its only 2 minutes long

Noel Ballantine

Guys I think you might have seen Sian from the car pool sketch with Peter Kay about dogging. She is a lovely person from all accounts too

And you thought you must dash away from it? I’ve watched too much Alex Horne

Iain is from Edinburgh, Scotland. He recommended a restaurant on the off menu podcast to try haggis balls and I went and it was amazing

Karlitos

Lalalaaa.. This looks out of context now the original comment has been edited 😂

Queen Naga 🌶️

Ah I found it via email. Yeah it was on a podcast promoting his new podcast but I can’t remember which one it was specifically

Queen Naga 🌶️

It was parenting hell!!!! I remember now he called about wanting to speak about ASD publicly

It’s worth explaining that Paul is one of the set of quizzer who contestants have to beat on the Chase. Put it simply in two minutes he often gets in the region of 20-24 general knowledge questions correct. He’s that kind of smart. So of course when he does something “unintelligent” like touching the rice and moving the bottle there’s this massive contrast with his quiz brain (as shown by his wide knowledge of birds and how he picked directional as the first word for compass). He’s also does stand-up comedy on the side (and has been a comedian for 30yrs). I know someone else has mentioned this series led to his diagnosis of Parkinson’s, and he’s also had a couple of heart attacks, but a couple of operations later he seems to be back to good health and he still does his quizzing and tours unimpaired by either health issue

Cyber.Serenity

I probably wouldn't have thought of it at the time but for the noises I can only think of doing the sounds of the letters of N E S W in combo with the eye movements

Cyber.Serenity

Naming birds would be the only task ever I'd excel at haha, I feel like most Australians know a decent amount about our wildlife but I also have a particular interest in birds. We are formally taught about native wildlife as kids and brought up to value it, when you have such gorgeous wildlife like we have here that's unique to only this country it is important not to take it for granted! That being said I highly recommend you look into your local birds in Spain, the more you learn the more you appreciate what is around you 😊birds are easy to befriend and have unique personalities when you watch them, they can be really funny, some are super sweet and some are just jerks like people (mostly towards other birds) 😂

Cyber.Serenity

I don't know about you but I subscribed solely based on his singing 😉

EuanTyumi

He hadn't started doing it yet, but yes 😅

Mark

Forgot how funny Paul is. Especially considering what his job is 🤓

Brill Smith

apparently paul found out he had parkinsons disease because following his appearance on taskmaster a medical consultant recognized his movements as displaying early symptoms of the condition and reached out to him.

Greg and Lisa React_Official

Yeah and we all know how close the 1st and 2nd place winners are at the end. Every little bit counts! ~ Lisa

EuanTyumi

Yes, in Scotland not near it 😉😊

MJ87

The reason for the Asian theme with the difference In the music and the TM seal is this series is a Japanese theme. Up until series 7 all the series were based on a different artist and the only obvious difference was the big picture of Greg in the living room. But from here onwards the themes become more obvious each series, always with Greg's big picture changing, sometimes the music or the seal and also props about the house and garden. Have you noticed the 2 small windows either side of the front door have eyes painted on them in an anime/manga style?

ThomasA

They also use clips of Paul from Taskmaster to teach medical students how to spot the early signs of parkinsons.

Greg and Lisa React_Official

Gosh! Greg said he thinks he noticed something but I didn't. I will have to look on the next one. Thank goodness they caught that! ~ Lisa

Greg and Lisa React_Official

Interesting how his quiz brain is separate from his task brain. We all carry our strengths in different places. I heard about his diagnosis but not the heart attacks! Yikes! so glad he is better now! ❤️ Lisa

Greg and Lisa React_Official

So true! You are all known for your animals! We were walking along a river here in Spain, and you're right, they had the most gorgeous birds! We had no idea what they were but they were so colorful! ~ Lisa

Greg and Lisa React_Official

aaaaaah!!! Thanks for that MJ! we were wondering about that and no, we didn't notice the windows!...I'll look on the next one! ~ Lisa

EuanTyumi

Technically you have, he was the first person to die in the art exhibition Inside No 9 🤓

unlucker

He wasnt usually like that. He looks so lost and disoriented in this show. Kinda sad to watch back, but at least it helped them catch his symptoms early

Joanna

I wonder how many of us sing along with Greg's 'Subscribe to the channel?'

windyMelon

Yeah I think you're onto it.. To solve the debate over how you choose your contestants, it does make sense for you both to choose two. Each season, after episode 1, you choose the one you think will win, and also choose your favourite (they can be the same person, but allowed to be different)

Tommy

Joe is literally just Simon from the Inbetweeners. I remember hearing they just wrote the character based on the actor (him saying hmm for example was just Joe and they wrote into the scripts now and then) and now I 100% see it lmao.
