As much as I love Peep Show, I think Greg saying "come on, we got kids" made me laugh as much as anything in the show ever did. You guys are great!

I find it hard to understand folks in US shows on occasion and 99% of the time it's just a reference I haven't got! It's fine when it's a big brand, I dunno like Home Depot or Walmart or something, but something more niche like Wawa lost me til I looked it up lol. Thank god for subtitles or I wouldn't even have known what to look up. Mark and Dobby in the stationary cupboard is probably my favourite scene in the whole show, it never fails to make me cringe and laugh and die inside and break my toes from curling them up :D

Mark was hiding for hours and late to the wedding. That's the bit where he jilted her. Sophie and everyone clearly knew he'd had second thoughts and that's what finally made her realize he doesn't really want her. You've just got to read between the lines sometimes. :)

I think every character on the show are bad people, I would probs argue that Johnson and super Hans are the best morally. Mark and Jez are awful and they attract people with flaws. Olivia Colman is a national treasure (Sophie ) and Isy suttie who plays Dobby was in the s22 cast of taskmaster I saw. She is going to be a fav ❤️

The definition of jilt is "to suddenly leave or reject a lover". Mark was clearly hiding, for a very long time, in an attempt to get out of marrying Sophie (rejecting her). The only reason he went ahead with the marriage was because he got caught hiding, and Sophie knew that. Hell, Mark literally calls their wedding "the hump" right after marrying her, which is what causes her to break and call for an annulment. It's clear to her that he doesn't actually love her. Of course she's going to be upset. If Johnson (the man who tried to rent a woman like a piece of property) is the only one agreeing with Mark, that's not a sign that Mark is in the right.

A Twirl is just a Cadbury chocolate bar, basically a flake covered in more chocolate! 🍫 Super Hans also talked about Professor Yaffle’s computer - he would be referring to Mark but yaffle was a carved wooden woodpecker from the kids tv series Bagpuss (and the intellectual character of the show) which if you’re of a certain age in the uk you most probably would have seen it!

If you can watch all of last season where Mark spends the whole time admitting he doesn’t want to marry Sophie, but never has the balls to say it and then blatantly hides in the church from his own wedding - if you can watch all that and not realise it’s Mark’s fault and he definitely jilted her at the alter… that’s unbelievably blinded and quite ignorant tbf😅

In fairness to Sophie, Mark did literally hide from their wedding, leaving her awkwardly standing in a church full of friends and family. I know they officially got married, but that was only because they found him, and he was too cowardly to not. She has every right to be hurt, still very funny though

How are you even sticking up for Mark with this? He hid from the wedding and then was really nonchalant and insensitive at the altar and in the car afterwards. He called their wedding 'The hump' to her. Sophie has every right to annoyed. :) Also this is one of my least favourite episodes, the whole Jez, Super Hans and Barney situation doesn't sit right with me. But at least Dobby's here.

Also I think Sophie is as much to blame about the whole relationship failing, they clearly didn't like each other towards the end but neither had the balls to end it before the wedding. Mark just took all the stick for it

It's interesting you think it's Sophie's fault for crying at the alter........AFTER being humiliated in front of everyone when Mark got caught hiding when he was supposed to already be in the sanctuary. She even asked him when they got to the alter "do you want to still do this?" and he said yes.
