Payout Update: Returned to Patreon! (Patreon)

So, uh, yeah. Image says the tldr mostly, the payout was finally released from support pingpong hell and got put back into the 'patreon pile', ready for another attempt at a payout. Next while is the full summary of what went on. Even as a summary, it's very long. Just look for the *** line break and read under it for what's happening next if you already get the idea.

To start, a quick explanation of what the payout IS and how it works (or SHOULD WORK), when you give money to someone on patreon, you aren't directly giving the money to that person, you are paying patreon who then takes that money and put it into a 'pile' that the creator of that page then has to do a 'payout' to actually get that money. So they have to pick a payment processor and has them handle getting the money to them proper. Only after that does the person running that patreon page actually get that money in their hands.

So, in October of 2025, multiple months into the patreons run, after multiple problems that delayed the first ever payout I would do for my own patreon, problems that include fraudulent charges to my bank account that almost cost me almost all the money in it, I had finally felt it was secure enough to finally make a payout. This was not the case.

After the first week and a half, it was obvious something was wrong, and I started the long process of finding out what was going on. I contacted patreon who, while taking their sweet ass time to reply to every message, did actually do the work needed to get things moving. Patreon gave me a code, told me to contact the payment processor. I started support with them, where in they spent every single message ignoring all information given, pass the ticket around without any explanation and finally after a whole lot of stupid bullshit, just straight up say they have no idea what I was talking about, the code I was given meant nothing and they told me to go back to patreon support.

Now important to note, every single one of these messages took up to A WEEK to get replied to, so the payment processor was just constantly wasting time and doing NOTHING with it. I outright told patreon they were trying to snatch the money, and patreon got on their asses and finally they caved in and gave patreon the info I needed to get the money moving and it FINALLY got pushed along to ACTUALLY being sent to my bank.

BUT THEY STILL SCREWED IT UP. When they sent the money, they did it in a very weird and stupid way, which then required me to go to my bank in person to handle it. Now for full transparency, I have pretty bad social anxiety. Like, in person, it's levels of disability bad. So needing to go to the bank and handle this is HELL. To make things worse, I didn't have to do it just once, but multiple times. The bank told me that they could handle it, then I had to go back in with the info they were missing at which point they told me the money would finally be deposited into my account and everything would be done with.

They didn't do that and it took YET ANOTHER visit to finally get the money moving again, where in they reversed it back to the payment processor who, in turn, reversed it back into the patreon pile.

So, after all that, the money is in a 'safe' place, but it's still not in my hands. To be completely honest, it was dire. It reached the point that if I never saw that money again, that would have been it. Patreon over. If the money had reached me properly, I had the assurance that I CAN make money off the patreon and then I would just have to deal with a much smaller more basic payout and go from there to get it working smoothly. So the problem is, the result I got was not one I ever expected.

With it back in the patreon pile, it's safe where it is and I don't have to constantly pursue anyone to keep it safe but... the only way to get it back out is a payout. ANOTHER payout. You cannot do payouts of small amounts, it's all or nothing. So there is now a half a years worth of this patreons earnings sitting there waiting to be payed out. All at once.

I am very tired. :)

So what now? I'm not going to try and do another payout yet. Instead, I need to try and get all the problems that have happened since then under control, get things caught up and possibly even give some refunds to anyone that has been waiting for WAY TOO LONG. The sheer number of uncounted rewards as well needs to be re tallied since I've lost all track of them. For the most part, there's not too many people that have, between the time I started the payout and the announcement to make everyone drop down to support tier while it was being handled, actually started to accrue new rewards or claim them, so it's at least not too bad. I just have to go through every single persons history, mark down every months rewards from them and see if they already claimed any of them. So a lot of paperwork.

The other thing is I'm going to start messaging people that have claimed requests and seeing who still wants what they requested and in some of the much worse off cases, if they are willing to get a refund on the time 'wasted'. Don't think if I offer this it's a slight at me or yourself. I might not be able to offer it in the future so please take the consideration into thought if offered.

While the money is in the patreon pile I can dig into it and give some of it back, but that can only happen while it's still in the pile. Any and all work done on anything you wanted will be free of cost, no 'costs'. No hard feelings and if you want to try again when things are back up and running properly, you totally can.

For everyone else, I get things organised as well as I can, and then have to get to work, drawing up EVERYTHING that is currently in waiting. If I can knock something out quickly I will, just to get things moving. Not to say I won't put effort into the work, just that anything that is a very simple, open concept can just get done without too much fuss. :)

And that is that. A lot of words, a lot of work. I'll try and get to everything asap, though as you might expect, I'm EXHAUSED at the moment. A problem since I want to do a proper year end review for this year as well, since it's kinda a very important year. A LOT of highs and lows that I want to get down, so that'll be coming somewhat soon as well?

Tonight is an exclusive night, but since this announcement is going up before it, I'll put it off a day so people can see this properly and not miss it because sexy lady boobs popped up or some such. Assuming RD hasn't already done that. In which case... whoops? :)

This year alone has been some of the best moments of my artistic career as well as directly caused my art style to improve in so many huge ways. But things keep getting in the way. I just wanted to draw the boobies and maybe make some moonies. :)
