As we come to the end of 2024, here is our final weekly report for the year. This report is an opportunity to review the highlights of the past week and conclude the year on a positive note.

💠 GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

🔰 Release of the very first playable version

Last week was marked by an intense effort to finalize and publish the very first playable version of Grand Utopia of America (GUOA). This first release, version 0.1 alpha, includes two towns: Utopia, the historic jewel of Lochburn County, and Aldmoor Point, a small hamlet tucked away at the eastern end.These two locations are linked by a 6-mile (approx. 10 km) road, winding through detailed landscapes. Although this playable area is still modest, it offers a promising glimpse of the type of gameplay and immersive experience I want to offer the American Truck Simulator community.

The objective is clear: a rich, realistic and captivating map for both long-time fans and newcomers to the world of Grand Utopia.

🔰 Future expansion

This first version is just the beginning of an exciting adventure. I'm already looking forward to continuing GUOA's expansion in 2025. New cities, winding roads and diverse landscapes will be added to the map to offer an even more complete and varied gaming experience.

🔰 Silent Driving #16

To accompany the release of GUOA version 0.1 alpha, a new episode of my Silent Driving series has been published on my YouTube channel. This journey, which links Utopia to Aldmoor Point, is an invitation to visually discover the work accomplished on this first version of the map.

This format, with no commentary or music, allows you to concentrate on the details of the scenery, the atmosphere and the realism of the roads. If you haven't yet had a chance to download GUOA, this video is an excellent way to get an idea of the gameplay experience this map offers.

Alors que nous arrivons au terme de l’année 2024, voici notre dernier rapport hebdomadaire pour cette année. Ce rapport est l’occasion de faire le point sur les événements marquants de cette dernière semaine et de conclure l’année sur une note positive.

💠 GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

🔰 Publication de la toute première version jouable

La semaine dernière a été marquée par un effort intense pour finaliser et publier la toute première version jouable de Grand Utopia of America (GUOA). Cette première mouture, version 0.1 alpha, inclut deux villes : Utopia, le joyau historique du comté de Lochburn, et Aldmoor Point, un petit hameau niché à l’extrémité est.Ces deux localités sont reliées par une route de 6 miles (environ 10 km), serpentant à travers des paysages détaillés. Bien que cette zone jouable soit encore modeste, elle offre un aperçu prometteur du type de gameplay et de l’expérience immersive que je souhaite proposer à la communauté d’American Truck Simulator.

L’objectif est clair : une carte riche, réaliste et captivante, à la fois pour les amateurs de longue date et les nouveaux venus dans l’univers de Grand Utopia.

🔰 Expansion à venir

Cette première version n’est que le début d’une aventure passionnante. J’ai déjà hâte de continuer l’expansion de GUOA en 2025. De nouvelles villes, des routes sinueuses et des paysages divers viendront enrichir cette carte pour offrir une expérience de jeu encore plus complète et variée.

Pour accompagner la sortie de la version 0.1 alpha de GUOA, un nouvel épisode de ma série Silent Driving a été publié sur ma chaîne YouTube. Ce trajet, qui relie Utopia à Aldmoor Point, est une invitation à découvrir visuellement le travail accompli sur cette première version de la carte.

Ce format, sans commentaire ni musique, permet de se concentrer sur les détails des décors, l’ambiance et le réalisme des routes. Si vous n’avez pas encore eu l’occasion de télécharger GUOA, cette vidéo est une excellente façon de vous faire une idée de l’expérience de jeu que cette map propose.
