Give ya a correction. Lyanna Stark and future King Robert Baratheon were a thing before his future wife Cersei Lannister were ever a thing. Cersei is the replacement after Lyanna died. Lyanna & Robert before the war that made him King. Cersei & Robert after the war. Cersei had been jealous of a dead girl that was gone before she ever was betrothed to Robert.

Bannermen = sub houses pledged to the major houses in each kingdom. ie - Mormonts are bannermen of the Starks. The Tarlys are bannermen of the Tyrells etc.

Yes it can seem like Ned went overboard in this episode but consider. Ned thinks the Lannisters are plotting against Robert, that they've murdered John Arryn, that they've tried to kill Bran twice and they have attacked and severely injured him. Again King Robert knows Ned and knows what to expect from him. By leaving Ned in charge while he goes hunting maybe Robert is hoping Ned will take action where Robert can't because of his debts to Tywin and that way he can pretend he had nothing to do with what's about to happen.

My king Bobby B was right, Ned is just an honorable fool. He got baited by Littlefingers comments as well (although the statements by LF were so obvious, I think it was mostly for the audience to explain stuff). When you consider how much power the Lannisters have in Westeros and in Kingslanding, then it was 100% overboard and not rational. You can't go full honor and emotion as hand of the king.

So far it's super impressive how much information you pick up and figure out, while giving me an honest vibe. I have seen reactors figure out even more stuff than you, but it turned out that those guys were frauds, who had seen it before.
