Really!?? I thought last episode was the worst TBH lol stupid governor smh...

The 'I don't want it' from the Governor is about the responsibility. He really thinks he doesn't want the power and leadership role. But feels forced to do so in order to protect his new family. The man found peace when he didn't have leadership responsibilities. Of course as soon as he gets power, it corrupts him.

Props to David Morrissey for making you hate him so much. Lol

There are a lot of parallels between The Governor and the man who owned the cabin, some subtle and some not so subtle. This is just speculation as nothing has been confirmed but what I think happened is the man invited two strangers into his home who then "took advantage" of his wife and child before killing them. Then the man hunted them down and cut their heads off and kept them as trophies (just like The Governor). He also couldn't put his wife and daughter down after they reanimated so he kept them as walkers (just like The Governor). In the picture of the man with his family, he even has blood splattered over one of his eyes, covering it (just like The Governor with his eyepatch). What's interesting is all three of the signs on the bodies could also apply to The Governor. "Liar" because he is a natural born liar, "Rapist" because of what he did to Maggie and "Murderer" because of the countless people he has killed. In a way, it's almost like The Governor's past coming back to haunt him. This is also just speculation but back in Season 2, Dave & Tony (the two guys Rick shot in the bar) said that they ran into someone who was stationed at Fort Benning (the place Shane originally wanted to go) and they told Rick, Glenn & Hershel that it was overrun. I wonder if that was Pete since he said in this episode that he was stationed at Fort Benning. Probably not and it's ultimately inconsequential but still it's fun to think about.

Omg this is so cool! Thanks for telling me! I def noticed the connection with the heads on the floor but I didnt notice the blood on the guys eye... I knew those signs freaked out the governor FS tho. I hope that man remains haunted LMAO (Also the Fort Benning theory would be sooo cool I wish Rick's group had found Pete! 😭😭)

My take on the little side quest: he was finally letting go of the "governor" persona being with the woman and the girl. But then when he got with Martinez again and a whole new group of people, he started feeling he would eventually go back to being the "governor-type" in order to keep it all safe. That's why he kept repeating "I don't want it, I don't want...." like he didn't want to go back to being that guy, doing those things. So he kinda tried to escape his fate of falling back into being that guy he turned out to be. As he was driving away, when he stumbled upon those walkers stuck in the mud, it got to him that he could never escape it, that he had to be that guy again, he had to go back to being the "governor" again to keep the girls safe. At least that's my interpretation.

Pete was in an upgraded FISH TANK like the governor had in Woodbury

Megan just summoned the Governor with two innocent words :P

fritz

somehow I get the impression you don't like the governor

I don't think the governor was necessarily evil before the apocalypse. They say war brings out the worst in people. A world like this could make monsters of normal people.
