This is actually one of my favorite episodes because it really focused on Carl and Rick which I feel like we never explored those two together prior to this season, so Im really happy we got this

Great setup! Really looking forward to Season 4B

Licha Reacts!

Thank you!! I've heard lots of people say 4B is really good! I'm exciteddd!

Licha Reacts!

Agreed! I was really loving just the two of them and getting a little glimpse into Carl's head!

As a practical matter, a sword is a solid choice for home protection as well as use in a zombie apocalypse. However a baseball bat can work too.

Deke_HFX

Same, the splintering into smaller groups with their own side quests were some of my favorite character building moments in the series.

Deke_HFX

Wait... did Licha say rest in peace to the old people in the cells? I seem to remember someone saying leave them there.... lmao!

Deke_HFX

The original script had Carl saying 'Dale taught me' which might have been our final shootout to Dale, but it was changed to 'Shane taught me' for obvious tension building reasons.

Anyone else notice the lawn was mowed when Carl was sitting on the roof eating his puddin'? W gardener.

Comic book lore, Michonne was on a supply run. Mike and Terry got high at the camp and were too high to protect her baby Andre. The baby got eaten, Mike and Terry got bit. Michonne let them turn as punishment and then used them to protect her.

Deke_HFX

I always thought Michonne was thinking that being alone, without purpose, was no different than being a walker. So she made a choice not to walk with the walkers but to kill them all. Making a choice not to go back to who she was before Andrea.

Martinez certainly knew his way around a baseball bat, and a golf club in the end. RIP Martinez.

Deke_HFX

Yaaaa she been through some stuff.

This is one of my fav reactions Ive ever watched to this episode, the way you get Rick, Carl and Michonne is soo on point, people are often really harsh on Carl but given the circumstances his crashout was valid, a long time coming even. And Im here tearing up with you when Michonne found them again haha

Licha Reacts!

AWWW thank you!! I loved this episode and glimpsing into their minds! It was def something I've been wanting to see for awhile! ♡♡

God I so vividly remember all the "Pudding" memes following after this episode

The group originally had a plan, and it was discussed between Daryl and Sasha I think while Rick was talking to the Governor. Once the Governor attacked and the tank was firing as well as gun shots everyone was separated and sent off in different small groups from the confusion. Everyone seems like they are just trying to get themselves together after the attack which left loved ones going in opposite directions or dead.

The Governor had disappeared at the end of season 3. Rick, Daryl and Michonne went looking for him and saw what he left behind of his people. They also got distracted by the news of Andrea and went looking for her and found her dying. They bring back what was left of the Governor's group and establish a working order, Michonne continues the search for the Governor but never finds anything, even Daryl wants her to stop looking. The main people of the group to say Rick needs a break or earned the right to rest are Daryl, Hershel and Carl (his words exactly are you should stop being the leader.) now it's a problem that Rick had them "playing famer" while working on his mental health as well as keeping himself and Carl from going over the edge.

Love this episode, these slow-paced character building ones are some of my favorite. Carl thought he was invincible and got humbled quick. I don't think he's the same as he was at the end of S3 though, I do think his time away from violence allowed him to mature and come out of the darkness. He was mostly lashing out in this episode because of the loss of Judith and potentially everyone else at the prison.

Also none of them have a map so even if they have a set rendezvous point it'd be really hard to find their way there.
