Louis

Yes! Glad to see licha not break stride and go right into HOTD

NF

If you do read spoilers I think you should mention what you know so the reaction remains authentic.

Christian M

So excited for this reaction!! I’m at work but when I’m off I’m heading straight to this

Flexorcist

Just avoid the freaking Lannisters payer of debts and spoiler of shows

Licha Reacts!

Yes! I'll def tell you guys I just won't tell you the exact spoiler in detail if you don't want to be spoiled too haha! I don't want to spoil it for others!

Flexorcist

I hope we get to see Visenya in a show someday.. i believe you will like her, one of the baddest mofo is ASOIF

Mari

Beric Dondarrion was a whole Lord lol

Funkystar

You know licha ”Dark sister” they mentioned it in game of thrones specifically Arya did when she had that talk with Tywin in S2! 🗡️ kinda legendary!!

Mari

margarey and loras’s mother was a hightower and u have seen the Hightower (their castle lmao) in GOT

Timminson

Hightower’s aren’t new they just weren’t as prevalent during GoT. One of the Kingsguard that was guarding Lyanna Stark at the Tower of Joy was a Hightower. They control Old Town, where the Citadel of the Maesters is.

Dresdon

Dreams are a pretty big theme in the books overall but yes its a Targaryen thing. Certain ones are Dreamers meaning they get prophetic visions and dreams. The starks have some pretty crazy dreams as well.

Carter Allison

It is definitely a lot of information but it will reinforce the important plot points. Excited for more reactions!!!

Beefi

Finally, since HoD, for me, Season 8 of GoT in every reaction is just the waiting time before it continues with HoD. :-)

Flexorcist

From now on.. every GOT show should have a Catspaw tracker.. i wonder where is Catspaw in the Knights of the Seven Kingdoms

Licha Reacts!

Oooo that's so cool!! Thanks for letting me know!

Alexander Ocean

BRUH, the score, the set/costume design, the acting, the cinematography - LOVE IT.

Licha Reacts!

Aw I knew it! It sounded so familiar to me but I couldn't remember what it was!

Michael West

And, we’re off!! This is going to be such a fun ride. So excited to start this. You mentioned Dark Sister, there is a good you tube video that breaks down many of the Valyrian swords and their history. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it so I’m not sure if it has any spoilers.

Funkystar

I have to say i kind of agree with daemon “Otto Hightower is a cunt” and that quote “the blood of the dragon runs thick” is cold 🥶 also the threat of the long night running though generations is kind of mindblowing and the “secret”must have gone lost after couple of generations because the starks and north are the only once willing to even believe if happened at all!

Beefi

The question is, did you come to this conclusion after the first episode, or is your assessment based on watching two complete seasons? In general, such statements about symphaties for characters after their first appearance are a no-go, because they are always based on complete knowledge that the viewer does not have at the beginning.

Funkystar

First episode because what do you mean he sends his daughter to his king and friend hours after his wife died💀🤨 the guy is power hungry man everyone can see it!! I would have his head on a stake man people like him are fucking disgusting. Daemon is right viseryes is weak af Otto is slandering his brother in front of him and he says nothing!!

WanderingBecauseLostLol

Watching this feels almost more like watching an acted out "histories and lore" video than an actual episode of a game of thrones spin-off, and I was trying to figure out why. I think it's the absence of banter and comedy that was sprinked all throughout GoT. Of course there was nothing at all to be laughing about this episode 😰

Johnny R

The performances in this show are so insanely good that it makes all the violence and awkwardness such a joy to watch. Mainly by king Viserys and his wife Emma this episode. I really love Matt Smith in his role as Daemon as well.

August Banks

You know nothing Jon Snow! Your GOT knowledge both hurts and helps you in figuring out the start to this show. Different pacing, way few families to remember, a different focus, but obviously back to great writing.

Jordan Clark

That Joffrey scene you’re talking about is not in the books but it’s good you skipped it is a major spoiler

Jordan Clark

Daemon Targaryen “The Rogue Prince” is GRR Martins favorite Targaryen

ramon carter

yes glad you noticed that is the dagger Arya used to kill the Knight King also Dany never got told the song of ice and fire because Rheagar was the last one to know about it

IcySystem

How do you know Rhaegar knew about the prophecy? Perhaps it was lost way earlier

Beefi

I just realized, is this tournament arena supposed to be the same place where the meeting in King's Landing took place in E7S7 GoT? It also looked like the ruins of an arena or something like that.

Beefi

I wouldn't be surprised if in the HoD it doesn't turn out the way we expect and they come up with some kind of clue again. They actually have a lot of flexibility because a lot of things, like this plot, aren't really known. It's written more from a perspective, that there is a lot of speculation, assumptions, claims, different statements, etc.

Jordan Clark

Yea I understand that. They’ve already changed some stuff from the books which is cool. But the major stuff that happens I think that’ll be hard to change they all play key roles in what happens in the future of the house

Yano Sch

Nah, that was the dragon pit. We'll see it in future episodes if I recall correctly.

Yano Sch

Wasn't Stannis' wife a Hightower? And Margaery Tyrell is also a Hightower descendant as far as I know.

Beefi

Yes, certainly, they don't have that much freedom here that they can completely change this plot or even make it not happen at all.

Nomaan

Will we get update/review videos for each book once you’ve read? I’d enjoy hearing ur thoughts !

Nomaan

We know he knows it in the books when Dany sees him in the House of the Undying

Nomaan

Nah his wife was a Florent

Nomaan

Also my fav little detail is how when Viserys is telling Rhaenyra about the prophecy, Dany’s Breaker of Chains theme is played lightly in the background. And the reason why it’s cool to me is because on Spotify the actual soundtrack doesn’t include that which means it was consciously added into that specific scene for the show. Now u can interpret that in any way u wish but i know what I personally believe xx

Jacob Cahoon

Licha! I am rereading ASOIAF currently, and I just started book 2. I did want to warn you that Jon’s first chapter has some major A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms spoilers. Not sure if you want to avoid reading them or not, but I wanted to pass this along to you or a mod! Love your reactions and I can’t wait for your book vlogs!

Licha Reacts!

Thanks so much for the heads up!! Honestly, I think I'm just going to read it and accept the spoilers... maybe if we're lucky I'll forget about it.. (doubt it hahah) But I super appreciate you looking out for me! ♡

Lucas Cespedes

A small fact: when it was mentioned that there were 14 succession claims, most of them were either Targaryen bastards, imposters, and minor cousins

Dale Gwynn

This wouldn't exactly be a GOT spinoff without some sort of incestuous relationship. and there seems to be a lot of talk of bloodlines and successions. I got a feeling....

Starspire Station

Just bought your Patreon for this sole purpose! A little late to the party, but I've been absolutely obsessed with your GoT reactions. They've become part of my daily routine, either before or after I go to school. I started Game of Thrones back in September 2025 and experienced the series alongside your videos. Having just finished House of the Dragon myself, I'm so excited to double back and see it through your eyes. Congratulations on starting this new chapter of the Game of Thrones world! P.S: The book House of the Dragon is based on is called "Fire and Blood" (the Targaryen tagline) is styled like an in-universe history book written by Archmaester Gyldayn, who compiles conflicting testimonies from the dwarf jester Mushroom and Septon Eustace.

Tylor

The books that they’re based off of is pretty much only a histories and lore book, not an actual like dialogue heavy book. The writers of the show pretty much had to make up 90% of the dialogue so I figure they’re going with a far more serious dark type show
