we’ve got a new poll up for our next BIG show 👀

the plan for Patreon is:✨ 1 big show (2 episodes a week)✨ 1 smaller show (1 episode a week)

this poll will decide what our next big show is, so make sure you cast your vote!!

i know it’s a little earlier than usual, but since i’m filming ahead for my move, i wanted to get everything lined up in advance 🫶These are the shows that have been most recommended! We do have a list of other shows that will make it to the poll eventually! Anything not picked will be carried over to the next poll!

I'll be real, it's great to see The Wire on here. I hope you do react to it someday (it's such an underrated and underappreciated show), but it's gotta be Breaking Bad. I recently had a WW moment with news I received a while back, which is how I even found reaction channels in the first place.

I guess that's one way to do it, but I just can't help but feel like you lose way too much from BOTH shows by doing it in that order. So many Easter Eggs, character intros, and stuff like that just wouldn't hit the same way that they do from the intended order, especially for someone like Licha who is top-tier at being able to pick up on those things.

I voted for Vikings out of those available on this list. But for future polls put me down for suggesting Shogun. Its short, only ten episodes, quick to get through. I like the idea of having one series that will take a while to get through, and one that can be gotten through quickly going at the same time. You're going to inevitably come across series that some people wont like, so as long as you've got one slot that is quickly turning over to something different, you can keep them around. If you have two going that will take half a year of uploads or more to get through you could end up losing people that have no interest in those two series.

If you let the inmates run the asylum, every react channel will end up looking the same. BB is great no doubt but there’s no shortage of BB reactions out there. The Wire on the other hand has so little traction in these spaces. In an era where media literacy is going down the drain, especially in reaction spaces, from what I can see Licha stands in a league of her own. It be a shame to waste her talents sending her down the same road as every other channel, when she can shine a light on a show that not only had a heavy influence on BB and GoT for that matter, but is very underserved in reaction spaces. A show that holds a mirror to society in a way that no other show has, with the richest cast of characters in the history of television and is as ripe for communal discussion as anything out there.
