Loved the trilogy and your reaction, also just curious will you also react to the hobbit trilogy down the road

Luuk

I don’t know if you will read the books, if you are don’t read the following: In the books Saruman and Grima escape the tower and make their way to the Shire which he had been doing business with a cousin of Frodo. When the hobbits come back it’s not all the same, but it looks more like the vision Frodo had. Everything is grey and a lot of rebuilding has to be done. Saruman and Grima die in a similar way there and our 4 hobbits take back control and free the shire.

I'm glad you got to finally see these movies. LOTR holds a very special place in my heart like no other movies do. The first is definitely my favorite but this one has so many great moments. Like you I was weary of Eowyn in The Two Towers because she was moving in on Aragorn but its hard to dislike her after she stabs the Witch King in the face. The details about the Witch King in the book are really cool and thats all I'll say about that. You should probably put the Hobbit movies on a poll. I'm not a fan of that trilogy at all but a poll is fair.

Theoden was Eowyn's uncle, Eomer is her brother.

Great reaction. Thanks for reacting to this trilogy, which I love. Return of the King = my favorite. The Hobbit movies are no Lord of the Rings imo. I like The Dark Knight Trilogy. IMDb 9.0, RT 98%, RT Audience 97% Pulp Fiction (1994). IMDb 8.8, RT 92%, RT Audience 96% Goodfellas (1990). IMDb 8.7, RT 93%, RT Audience 97% The Silence of the Lambs (1991). WE MADE IT! I have loved your reaction so so so much. I'll not mention anything book exclusive since I think you said you wanted to read it but a couple of really fun notes and mentions! So Saruman was played by the late great Ser Christopher Lee, an absolute LEGEND. One of the few people in the crew who actually MET JRR Tolkien before his passing, and lord of the rings was his absolute favourite book of all time. He read it once every single year since it came out, and was incredibly helpful during the making of this film. Get this, he actually stopped during filming his death scene to correct Jackson on how it looks/sounds to be stabbed in the back, because he HUNTED NAZIS IN WW2 and knew FIRSTHAND what it was like. He also spoke an absurd amount of languages fluently, including Elvish. He was an accomplished opera singer, and just a few years before his death at the age of 90 he produced two DEATH METAL ALBUMS. Man he was so cool. Rest in peace. Grond I think isn't explained, but it's another instance of the Silmarillion peeking it's head back into the story. Like yes it's a battering ram, but they named it after an infamous weapon - Grond, the hammer of Morgoth. Morgoth was the ultimate evil like, what Sauron WISHES he was. The gods took care of him a long time ago but he's responsible for Sauron existing in the first place (and he created the orcs). I don't really understand what's going on with Arwyn in the movie adaptation, like these films are EXCELLENTLY faithful to the books in a lot of places but I don't really understand at all what they were doing there, her stuff makes much more sense in the book. You'll see when you get there. That's all, other than Sam is the goat, I love him so much aaaaaaa

Also giving a +1 for Silence of the Lambs, if Licha has never seen it like omg that would be a legendary reaction

The wonderful thing about these movies is there is so many great examples of genuine , beautiful male platonic friendships, non-toxic masculinity.Every character was masculin , but completely nontoxic I think these films are fantastic.

Fred bates

Even the heroes are masculine characters. But without one hint of toxic masculineity , and it's beautiful.

I'm united with honsty. and ill be honest. you need to find something that makes you feel in your life. no tears for some of these moments is the biggest red flag i've ever seen. Love <3
