"I'll have no songs about how brave you died, Kingmaker" Rip Ser Criston

Whenever there's a round table scene I feel like I'm having a fit with the click off and ons D:

Licha Reacts!

the round table scenes and the click on and offs is so difficult to time 😂😂

The guy that tried to kill Daemon was a former hightower soldier on the wall. He was in the background when Alicent told the guards on the wall to stand down.

Let me think, what did I like about this episode. Don't want to be all negative. Daemon and Rhaenyra struggling as rulers. Lady Arryn throwing someone through the moondoor. Haelena's acting. Alyn and Gwayne seem reasonable. Nice to hear Daeron's thoguhts. Cole's death was 50:50, better in the book for sure. The Goldcloak assassination plot is so disappointing to me. They are portraying Ormund's man as some fanatic zealots with no regard for their own life. When you take away the humanity and autonomy of the 'bad' guys, it gets bland real quick. The story lines don't feel satisfying or clever or surprising or earned. 25 Goldcloaks get murded, but Daemon is the first one to defend and catch an assassin? It was just a regular soldier with a little knife at the end, not a faceless man. Just some lunatic in broad daylight. Oh well..

To quote Dany: "WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS?!" I need more dragons in my dragon show

We've had a few conflicting opinions on this season but I wanna comment to say I'm in full agreement with you this time around. There were things that I'm liking (I might be more 70/30 on Cole's death, I'm disappointed they cut the famous line, but I appreciated how unceremonious it was when these shows love to draw out and dramatise a character death). The gold cloak plot is so irritating to me. I don't hate the idea of the Hightowers having loyal Watchman on the inside, brother betraying brother kind of deal. But why would the common folk be so loyal specifically to Ormund to the point of fanaticism?? Personally, I think it could have worked better if they had starting bringing in the Shepherd plot now, We've hardly heard from the faith and I thought that's where they were going with it when Rhaenyra first met the high septon. He warned her that the faith was what bound the people together and to the crown, and it would make more sense if Ormund took advantage of that and was working with the faith rather than on his own. This just isn't doing it for me as presented.

Hope my previous takes weren't too annoying. I could write pages about HotD at this point. But honestly? I think I'm done ranting. Cya in season 4 :)

Oh nah, not annoying at all, it's honestly been very refreshing to have respectful disagreement now and again without it turning nasty. I can tell you've been in the fandom for a minute so I don't need to tell you how foul it can be at times, discourse devolving into personal attacks, WILD hyperbole ect ect. I've learned the hard way to be careful of who I chat with about this series, and I can tell your frustration comes from caring about the source material.

I’m pretty 50-50 on this episode I like some moments and hate others lol Teleportation seems to be back with Bold Jon Roxton😂 I was most disappointed in Criston’s death just because we didn’t didn’t get the great line that the show itself set up last episode. But I liked his fight scene before that, Vermithor and Silverwing snuggles, Ulf and Hugh’s relationship and every scene with the Hightower squad.

Also I really like how they’re adding layers to Baela and Alyn’s relationship. I think last episode Addam was feeling her but idk if those feelings were reciprocated in that way. It’s going to be an interesting dynamic with those three in any case.

I think Daemon is right, if gold cloaks are getting murdered in the street so easily and one of the assassins sees Ulf surely they would kill him as soon as possible and Ulf has no hand to hand combat skill as far as I'm aware

shes a coward and a totally wasted character not a "baddie"
