Aegon was the highlight of this season ngl, so much interiority and nuance. He’s pathetic, he’s stupid, he’s brave, he’s tragic, and against all odds he’s still here. Aegon is probably the most GRRM-style character they’ve managed to adapt.

Great reaction as always :) Rhanerya and Dameon definitely treated Ulf poorly, but Ulf was disobeying direct orders from his superiors, which he shouldn’t have been doing in the first place. And I’m actually a little surprised that you wanted Ulf to change sides, since you mentioned in another series how you hated betrayal. Also I felt that Rhanerya actually understood Daemons perspective this episode? Like she defended Daemons actions when talking to Mysaria. And I don’t think it’s fair to Rhanerya to say that she shouldn’t be upset about Daemon lying. Like yes, it’s his daughter, but lying about the true reason about why Jace died is obviously going to make Rhanerya upset. There’s already distrust between those two, and I honestly felt like it was unnecessary to lie, especially since it was practically inevitable that Rhanerya would have found out eventually. But yeah I really enjoyed this episode and especially Sunfyres return, which I’m super excited abouttt

Aegon is back in full force, Ormund is cooking, and Rhaenyra is collapsing under the weight of her crown. Team Green stocks up 1000%

Also off topic but Baela is such a nothing-burger character to me. Like she genuinely is so boring. And I’m not a fan of the way the show is handling her relationship with Alyn and Addam. She got over Jace’s death sooooo quick, and she genuinely doesn’t have much of a personality. I actually really wish that she was angry with Rhaena for causing Jace’s death, because that would have added some depth to her character. But no, I guess she’s going to stay being basically nothing more than a background character.

I actually do hate betrayal you're def right on that haha! But idk, to me, Ulf turning sides isnt really out of the blue betrayal! It kind of feels like justice for the way he's being treated! If he randomly chose team green I would def be sooo mad, but after everything hes been through, I feel like its completely fair! Daemon/Rhanerya 100% should've treated him better! The part that gets me is I fully believe he would've stayed loyal to team black if he was treated better, that's why I'm not mad about it haha!

They treated Ulf poorly, but he disobeyed orders and treated his role poorly. He wants nothing but riches and power to get more riches. This is why you don't give random people dragons. 1 of her biggest mistakes. If it were me, once i found out they usurped the throne I would've immediately flown to oldtown and burned it, then to kings landing and killed all the greens and their supporters. But she is playing the game like there is pure peace and the only thing that matters is the smallfolk. She needs to give the crown to Daemon and be done with it. The war would be over tomorrow.

I miss Cersei also. Love the throwback!!

Ulf and Aegon would get along so well. I hope they get to meet each other.

I love this show so much. Not uncritically but like, they've been cooking. I went back and watched season two just before season 3 and I was much more satisfied with it this time around because I didn't spend two years waiting for the climax of the season lol. Anyway I'm so locked in and I trust the show at this point. I'm just letting em cook Also I am an avid book reader. While the show is not adapting the story as written, it's adapting the themes and that's what I care about. Maybe after the show is completely over I'll reevaluate but as it stands I'm having a great time. Aemond is so psychologically messed up. And Harrenhal kind of rules. I think Alys is like.. maybe a ghost? The spirit of Harrenhal? I have theories on every character at this point. 50,000 word google doc on this season alone. Good grief.
