Band of Brothers…winner of 34 awards, including numerous Emmy’s and Golden Globes, written and created by Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg. Enough said…for now. This will be an unforgettable 10 part reaction.

Alex Gorell

Best mini series ever. Pay some attention as there are A LOT of cameos from well known actors today but pretty much unknown when this came out.

Bay

So glad you are reacting to this!!! This is my all time Favorite thing to watch!!!

Dan M

Good call Alex

Robert da Spruce

Really excited for this! Great reaction to the premiere episode! The look on your face when Sobel first appears is the same face everyone had when they first saw it. “What the hell is David Schwimmer doing here?!” 😄 The final showing the scale of D-Day is a great shot! Looking forward to next episode!

Sorry not into band of brother not interested in tv shows

Teegan you are the best reactor period. You get more points for the "show, not tell" comment. One correction: "Operation Overlord" not project... You're correct in that Winters is a platoon leader (2nd Plt.) and Sobel was the company commander. Lt. Meehan is the new company commander that replaced Capt. Sobel as commander of Easy. Throughout the series you will clearly see what real leadership looks like. You must also be a tactician to be a good leader. Sobel's training did help Easy but HE was not a leader in the field. The name for the singing is "cadence." It is meant to motive and provide a rhythm to stay in step and time and your assessment of its impact is correct. So looking forward to the rest with you.

2026-09-30 14:00 They wont tell you who the real veterans are until the last ep. I remember the first time I watched trying to figure it out. I will be curious to see what your guesses are as you progress through the series. such an amazing show.

Happy Veteran’s Day to all of our former service men and women out there! Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made to serve our country!

BTW. You should 100% watch "We Stand Alone Together" its the Easy Company documentary. Its considered the final episode to band of brothers. Be sure to watch that after you finish this show! So amazing. Some of the interview footage from Band of Brothers is pulled directly from it. This show is based on the book written about easy company. There are some things that this show does get wrong about some of the soliders, BUT that is due to information that came out later after the book was written. So the inaccuracies are not the fault of the producers just info that was never corrected in the book later on. This show pretty dead accurate in the books respect. I NEED TO CLARIFY SOMETHING, about your hatred about sobel Yes, The real Sobel was way worse than what was depicted in this show. They downplayed him. So let that sink in. He was a tough mean SOB but he is a big reason these soliders bonded so well. So there is the silver lining. His training was cruel but affective HOWEVER As somebody who did basic training in the military, you are not suppose to like your drill instructors. They are mean, they are cruel but they are fair. EVERYBODY gets an equal ass beating. They make you hate them on purpose as a way to bond together over that hatred. Its a purposeful tactics to tear you down and build you up better.

Your reaction was amazing. Your emotions speak volumes'. I only wish more patriots in this country were as passionate, about this subject, as you are. Your honesty, respect and enthusiasm was unbelievable. Wow! Beauty and brains in the same reaction!!! I can safely say this is the best reaction I have ever seen. And don't worry about the Army Jargon. Here's your cheat sheet,... "101st Airborne Division\506th Parachute Infantry Regiment\2nd Battalion\E (Easy) Company, (A, B, C, D, E, etc\Platoon, (1st, 2nd,etc,\Squad, (1st. 2nd, etc". Can't wait for Ep2 reaction. Starting out Sobel is the Company Commander (E), and Winters is, one of the many Platoon leaders.... Thanks again for the amazing reaction. William T. Aultman, SMSgt USAF (Ret).

Also the question of rank and position between Sobel and Winters? The scene Where Col Sink was promoting Sobel. He "was" a 1st Lieutenant (1 silver bar) and Commander of Easy Company. Col Sink just promoted him to "Captain" (2 silver bars). but when Sobel realized that Col Sink was also promoting Winters also, from 2nd Lieutenant (1 Gold bar) to 1st Lieutenant (1 Silver bar). it infuriated Sobel. When Col Sink suggested Sobel pin on Winters new silver bar, he was not aware of the conflict between Sobel and Winters. To punish Winters, for getting promoted, Sobel made him his "exec" or Executive Officer, also called "XO", in addition to being a platoon leader. This way Sobel could treat Winters, like dirt! like his very 1st assignment was mess officer. And later on in England, the Courts Martial!!! Anyway, in the end Col Sink saw what was going on and Sobel got "his" punishment. The kind of punishment that, in the military meant he would never be promoted again!

Dan M

Sobel is the perfect example of how one particular leader can physically strengthen each individual soldier and prepare them for battle. Winters is the perfect example of how another particular leader can strengthen an entire company by building respect and trust, and showing empathy. Sobel can develop soldiers to fight in battle. Winters can develop a band of brothers to win a war.

Which one would you want your son to jump with -- Sobel or Winters? Excellent choice for a series. Best one-season series (miniseries) of all time. I joined your patreon because you are reacting to this miniseries. I had already been considering joining your patreon, but this sealed it. I repeat. Which one would you rather your son jump with or be led by in the field -- Sobel or Winters? More of a rhetorical question. My answer is Winters. Hands down. I would prefer Meehan (without knowing anything about him) over Sobel to lead my son in the field. I saw that the YT edit was taken down due to copyright?

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

Hi Clay! You raise a great question but the answer is simple. WINTERS! Yes and No. I wish it was just a copyright claim but it is an autogenerated ID claim which gets the video blocked which is the worst case scenario. I already submitted a dispute as I know I am well within fair use guidelines but it is incredibly frustrating as even if reinstated the video will be dead in the water because the analytics will be all messed up. They have 30 days to respond to the dispute Regardless, episode 2 will be up on Patreon this weekend and I can't wait to keep watching!!!

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

Hi William! Your words mean the world to me and make me so happy!! Needed to read this today! Thank you!! Episode 2 will be up on Patreon this weekend!!

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

Yes! I will definitely be watching and reacting the unofficial 11th episode!! I think that may be a Patreon exclusive as a thank you to all of you!!

I shared some comments and recommendations with you before you posted this first episode so it was sent as DM. Should I repost it here?

Just a head’s up: if you’re watching BoB on Netflix in US, the episode descriptions contain Spoilers. Avoid reading them if possible.

So now you begin the great crusade of enjoying Band Of Brothers. I have rewatched this series with other reactors so many times now and I always enjoy re-watching it with a new person. This show and these characters are going to get to you very much, be prepared for alot of emotional moments especially during the last half of this series. And yes this series is based of the book which is based off the real life soldiers from Easy Company, the men talking at the start of each episode are the real guys and you'll find out who is who at the end of Episode 10. Enjoy.

Michael Cowell

Not sure if anybody answered the peaches question. But yes Parks was kicked out of the airborne 101st easy company because he stole the can of peaches. Also i maybe late but i watched your short reaction on YT and had to become a Patreon as you are the best one i have watched in reactions. Sobel was one hell of trainer he got the men of Easy prepared for everything, and they bonded even closer because of their hatred for the man. The actor who played Colonel Sink, he plays a General in almost every war movie, if he is not actoring he is there to help to make sure its correct, so yes he was in the military just not sure what his rank was or where he fought. Now with Bills brother dying in Italy, well he was in Africa but they invaded Scilly and Italy before D-Day a few months before i think, anyways it was the British plan of attacking Southern Italy first because Winston Churchill believed Italy were the weakest. The invasion stalled after awhile, so the Americans went with there plan next and which we know as D-Day.

Its been a while since I've seen this series, but have seen it multiple times down the years, and remember watching it when it aired. Nearly 25 years old now, and some of the actors (I'm from the UK so know quite a lot of the UK actors here), including Damian Lewis, and Stephen Graham, have barely aged! I've never liked David Schwimmer much as I found Friends to be derivative tosh (gimme Frasier or Seinfeld from the 90's every time over that!), but I do think he is great in this as the bumbling Capt. Sobel; and he plays this arrogant, egotistical, unnecessarily strict commanding officer very well. We all hate him, but I always have to admit feeling a bit sorry for him as he gets re-assigned to a military teaching school. Yes its the right thing, as he would have got half his squad killed within a few hours of D-Day; but he did want to serve, so realising that he wouldn't have the honour to be in battle and be a desk soldier without any experience, would hit him hard. He did whip the company into shape, but then it gets passed off to some other Lt. stepping into his shoes (and then eventually through to its rightful commander in Lt. Winters); would be shameful for him. From that point of view, I can empathise with him, even if he was a complete dick to his men. When I first watched this, I remember being too keen on seeing them get to the war, that I dismissed this episode quite a bit; but it sets up who we'll be following so well, their experiences of training and life in England before the Big Push, and when they get into the planes, the dread starts setting in, as these boys will then have to experience what being in war will be like. All my known family members who served in both World Wars, came back. Our family was incredibly lucky. I can't even imagine how families coped with losses of loved ones during these times, and before and since. I went to a museum a few years ago, of a famous Scottish regiment, the Black Watch, and I found it incredibly moving, and sobering to go around the exhibits and see some of the memorabilia and stories connected with the men who served in it, down the centuries. I remember wincing at the knives and bayonets the soldiers were using, and realised that I just don't have what it takes to do what these people did, to kill and maim for your country. I don't think I could go into battle, even with training, heck I'd probably be worse than Sobel here; so my respect for the courage and fortitude these boys had in this endeavour, and others, is humbling.

I'm late to this, this series is older than I am, I was born September 12th of '01, crazy to think about, great reaction so far!

Mcfc

How come other reactors can show us the series or movie but you can’t?

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

They’re choosing to break the law. Either that or they’re ignorant to it. It’s illegal redistribution. The law is very black and white on this matter.

Rob Jaycox

I am just split screening this and Netflix on my Mac. Its no big deal

The Apocalex

why is every reactor doing this waste of time show, its boring and theres so much better stuff out there. Its been done a million times

Cope moron

LiteWeight Gaming / Reacting

Hi Kenneth! It states the description you have to own a copy yourself. I can’t legally share it with you as that violates copyright law. Patrons have the show going on one screen while my reaction is on another! If any other patrons want to chime in on how they do it, feel free!

MertzRocks

Sorry that something that is not boring happens to bore YOU. She'll get to some 'better stuff' as you say, in due course. And a million and one times is just fine. All creators of reaction videos should see and react to this. 🤘😎🎸
