This will be the first movie on your channel that I haven’t seen before your reaction. So I’ll be going in just as blind as you were. Which means my face will probably look like yours on the post for a good part of the movie. I’m excited to experience this one for the first with you. However, I’m on the road all weekend, so I won’t get to it till Sunday night. Until then…ciao!

Yea the American policy to manufacturing during WW2 was cheap yet abundant. We simply outproduced everyone else. They shot one of our planes down two replaced it. Our weapons would jam and break more easily but we had a lot more of them. Also it all could be fixed with a wrench and a screw driver while the Germans had specific tools for specific parts and a much more complex system. They also ran on diesel which was harder to get, but it also was less combustible so it wouldn’t explode if a shell hit it unlike the American tanks which used gasoline. And this policy worked soo well we provided almost all the material and money for the British and the Russians.

Some other World War II movies to consider: - The Pianist (2002) - The Great Raid (2005) - Windtalkers (2002)

You asked about the straps on their helmet's. Tanker's, like airmen, wore unique helmet's that had headphone's and a microphone built into them. The throat strap had the microphone right at your voice box. That way you could communicate with each other in your tank. The quote you wanted to save from "War Daddy" was "Ideal's are peaceful, History is violent. When I joined the Army in 1977, Vietnam had only been over since 1975. So, the Drill Instructor's we had all saw combat. They were the toughest SOB"s I had ever seen!! I volunteered right out of High School. They had done away with the Draft in 1975. Even so, men who turn 18 are supposed to go to their local Post Office and register for Selective Service. So that if there ever comes to needing soldier's for War, there is a pool already waiting to be picked. Anyway, great reaction and you kept it together like a champ!! Have a great weekend....what there is left of it. LOL Bye-Bye

A big +1 for The Pianist (2002)

Hey not sure if you will see this, but the one film that is the only one of its kind is a film called "1917" (Released in 2019) the reason I say this is the entire film was made to look like it was all ONE SHOT all done in one take, with not cuts. This is a World War 1 film.

"Ideals are peaceful. (Beat) History is violent" That line was apparently an ad lib by Mr. Bradley Pitts......I'll get another source before I could say 100% but it is a powerful line I agree...

Hard to tell for me if Brad Pitts german there is good or not, since the german today is vastly different than the german in WW2, but for me it sounded good. You can definitely here the work of a dialect teacher.
