Watch me work through my understanding of Skyler's mental health real time in the outro hahaha

I think it’s when she realized that her husband blew up a hospital and killed three people that she went off the deep end. Seems understandable to me.

Yeah Skyler has tried to be strong until now, but all this has took its toll, seeing the monster her husband has truly become; and she's breaking down. She's caught between a rock and a hard place.

I think the simple answer to why Skyler is acting irrationally is that she's beyond reason and logic at this point. When we as the viewer say "if it were me I would…" we are in the position of seeing things rationally. You did mention this in your wrap-up. The topic of Skyler’s behavior is a great conversation starter. In real life, we have a tendency to question the actions of people who were victims of tragedy, both self-inflicted and forced upon them, and say things like "I would never do that," or "why didn't she report it when it happened," or "I would never abandon my kids like that" and "that's the coward's way out." Unfortunately, humans don't always act or react reasonably. Whether the writers of the show intended this with Skyler's character or not, it really does a good job of getting people talking about human behavior.

This exactly, nothing to be confused or surprised about 🤣

You are right, the only thing logical to do would be to turn Walt in, but, remember, even going back to season 3 when Skyler was talking to her lawyer, she does not want her kids to know their dad is a criminal. She said it back then and now to Walt...she is waiting for him to die so this will be all over. Now, does this work? Well, that's one of the reasons why this show is so good. Will we find out?

reaction was good. the rambling is good, it is thinking through it, in real time. It is real. I do believe Skyler has come to a point, where she can not get control of the situation, so she is crumbling.

Skylar is prepared to sacrifice herself to protect her children

The guilt got to her as well. Seeing Ted in the hospital made her realize that she is becoming like Walt.
