This is a very fun episode right up to that ending

I feel like this is usually where people STOP being annoyed at Skyler 😅 Also, Jesse Plemons (who plays Todd) has become such a well respected actor these days. IMO, he was totally snubbed at this years Oscars for Bugonia.

Ryan

Todd is so misunderstood. He was just trying to rescue the spider the kid had spidernapped.

I can 100% relate to your feelings about Skyler. Her behavior this season is baffling to me too. You want to sympathize with her, but it's difficult. She was the one who refused to divorce Walt when he signed the papers, and then she became a willing participant in his money laundering scheme. Walt also made it clear that he wasn't in danger, he *was* the danger. That's why her sudden change this season feels confusing. It seems like the writers are trying hard to portray her as Walt's hostage and an abused wife, while turning Walt into an outright monster. Walt's transformation also feels a bit forced. I understand what they're going for, but it isn't entirely convincing. Season 5A is still a good season but it's my second least favorite in the series. Compared to the others, it feels a little off.

It's amazing that everyone when watching BB sees Skylar as the annoying obstacle yet any sane person in her position would be the same. We as viewers see her as getting the way of the fun storyline so we all pretty much view her as an annoyance. Watching through again you see her behaviour far more favourably... well not the whole Ted thing, she still sucks for that

It feels totally natural for Walt imo. He has season by season been going further off the deep end and now it is coming to a head. Skylar also makes sense, she isn't behaving rationally at all points but would any of us under the stress that she will be going through. She is scared of Walt and scared also of the people she doesn't even know may or may not be coming. She has already implicated herself in the crime of laundering drug money plus the schemes she pulled off against Ted and eyebrow man to get the car wash. I don't think any of us can say we'd not make questionable choices to someone else looking in from the outside if we were in that position The good thing about BB is that every character is flawed, some more than others, but no one is portrayed as perfect

I love the structure of this episode. Seeing the kid on the dirtbike at the start going through the desert looking for a spider, a silent killer. Then the episode begins and we plan for the heist, and execute it perfectly. Then just as Walt and the crew get away with it, we see the kid back on the bike - we forget about him. And then that other silent killer Todd, takes him out like nothing; and ends us with an emptyness. Perfection.

Walt pushed her into Ted's bed. Like here she felt closed in, claustrophobic. She's a victim of Walt's just like many of the other's he's killed by now. He is the cancer to his entire family, and Skyler struggles with dealing with everything he's bringing into their household now.

In the Season 3 Episode No Half Measures Mike tells Walt about his regret in not saving the life of a Domestic Violence victim when he stopped short of what he couild have done to stop the abuse, albeit illegally. At the time Walt used it to to summon up his courage and go all the way in to mow down the street corner drug dealers and save Jesse. In light of Skylers recent mental state, I find it telling that Mike used the story of a woman who got so broken, mentally abused and humiliated that she could not save herself when the help to do so was offered. in addition to the fear Skyler is now mainly motivated by shame and humiliation. And unlike the woman whose tragedy Mike related, Skyler has NO ONE who she can talk to for help. This is one of the main factors why women (and men ) who are caught in these situations can't or dont seek help. And that in turn leads many people to victim blaming when it finally goes south. They will say "All they had to do was leave." No! It is a lot deeper and more complicated that .

Mike just told Walt that killing Jesse James doesn’t make you Jesse James and now they plan a train robbery and mention that it’s like Jesse James.

TODD WTFFFFF? Seriously. The first time I watched this episode I reacted exactly the same. I’m sure a lot of us did. This show never ceases to find ways to leave one speechless

Such an epic breaking bad moment the train heist. Incredible tv 🔥

Blink More

any sane person would have gone to the cops instantly, or after the murders at least. she has a DEA brother in law, the caring about what happens to his reputation and the kids etc is bullshit, she goes to hank straight away and it is "noob teacher tries to cook meth with brother in law cop, gets caught"

Blink More

and she would get a show on netflix from it too, on one of those true crime things, she'd be grand. she signed up for this when she said nothing, then got too deep and wanted out it was too late for that
