I say we give Todd the same treatment he gave the kid... but that's just me!

Jesse's line about are we in the meth business or the money business was perfect, and Walt didn't even give it a moments thought.

Walt. Evil. Walt could have walked away (lessening danger to his family) w/$5 million (more than enough to provide for his kids) -- reconciling with/enjoying his family. He turned it down. The Walt arc = he started w/cancer and essentially in poverty (I was pulling for him and accepted him exploring cooking meth), then ego/vanity got in the way, then not rolling Jane over, etc. His march into darkness continued to this episode in which he turns down $5 million, relative safety, and having his family back together. Evil.

Na, Todd is just a sweet misunderstood baby. Honest....

Yep, its all ego with him. He walked out on Grey Matter, and somehow its their fault, then he got jealous seeing their success - checking their stock prices daily no less; and he wants an empire of his own, one that deals in death and destruction. Did Walt change, or was this always inside him? That's always the question when it comes to his character.

If Walter's share of Gray Matter was $5000, that means his partners were able to turn their $10,000 and a couple "pending" patents into a 2 billion dollar company. Why couldn't Walter turn his 5 grand into a 1 billion dollar company, or even a 1 million dollar company? He clearly wasn't the brains behind that business. I think he got $5000 for coming up with the name.
