When this episode aired! it was the end of season 5 Part 1 (they broke season 5 into 2 different 8 episode seasons) so this came out September 2012 and we had to wait all the way until August 2013 for the next EPISODE! you're so lucky you can watch it next!

So, this scene is actually very debated. First of all yes, Walt is a complete narcissist, and that makes him be sloppy in some cases despite his intellect. BUT... we can dive deeper. That is the ensuite, the bathroom connected to Walt and Skylar's room, meaning the bathroom that usually nobody will use except for them, as guests will almost always use the hallway bathroom. I think what happens here, is that Hank needs to take a dump, so instead of going to the hallway bathroom where it can possibly stink up the hallway area where the door outside leads directly to, he doesn't think much of it and goes to the ensuite. And it serves the writers of course! I mean really, only people who worked the Gale case and it's evidence would notice it, and even then it was mostly Hank that found it interesting, so it's not even if the cops did a search of something that they'd find it incriminating. So, it's really that one chance, of Hank for some reason using that unlikely bathroom, grabbing that book, and opening it at that page. Which is what happened, but realistically, what are the odds?
