Skylar holds the cards in so much as who she chooses to trust. Hank to do his best to protect her from the fallout, or Walt to get away with it There is no chance in the long term getting away with it is a viable choice right? She has enough information and enough emotional abuse and fear for her own safety as well as the kids to play the other card she has which is self preservation Skylar has cards to play, it's how she decides to. Is she in the strongest position, no. Does she have lots of leverage, no. She has choices still though

Skyler is an accessory. Skyler would be crazy to talk to Hank without first consulting an attorney. She is perceptive in saying to stay silent. Skyler has never wanted Walt to be in trouble with the police, and that included before she was involved when she didn't want Walt Jr to see his dad as a criminal. Now that she has been involved (an accessory), she could reasonably conclude it's better for her (and thus her kids) that Walt not be in trouble with the police. Self-preservation.

Hank could reasonably conclude that it better for Skyler (for her) that she not say anything and instead wait for Walt to die from his cancer. But as Skyler said, Hank wants to get Walt at all costs. Hank really has nothing. Doesn't help that Walt is no longer in the business. Hank is a mad man.

Yea for any skyler fans, right here she has gone off the deep end. He is saying he will turn himself in, she goes "actually it's just a hunch..." come on, she could have let him turn himself in and kept the money, or then lead them to the money, she is now a full on accessory and accomplice during and after the fact, and every piece of cover up and obstruction of justice and police in their duty and etc etc etc She had her chance right here if she just lied to walt and said she would hide his money and give it to the kids, and then take that right to the police the instant he is arrested. But yes, she doesnt know who he works with, or how many gangs or cartels there are out there looking to kill anyone related to her... but at this point she loses all credibility tbh, she should have taken that deal with walt then witsec instantly

She is but she is a VERY small fish in the crime. Hank would have likely helped her get immunity from prosecution in return for her assistance. If not for her for the sake of Marie who he does love and care about. She should obviously talk to a lawyer but Skylar's only realistic play here was to talk to Hank once she had herself secured. Burying her head and hoping it would blow over was only a short term delay

She is not burying her head. She making a smart conscious choice not to talk. Hank has nothing. She has no reason to believe it only a short term delay.
