Apart from the season finale. Ozymandias is the greatest hour of television I have ever watched. The episode is perfect from start to finish. It doesn’t get any better

Anthony McPartlan

No words for this episode. So many great performances from all involved

I was at the breaking bad finale premier/party. I will wait to tell that story until the end. No spoilers ever.

SEAN ƴü KAY

And you might want to think about doing a live watch finale, or a live stream this weekend after you have finished the series just to get it all out while we type things at you...anyway.....here we go!

SEAN ƴü KAY

It is quite a something. Took a lot to get to this point. I would agree that it is in the conversation at least. When she first said she was recommended 'breaking bad' I knew it was a slow burn and not everyone is willing to jump into it....but it will hook ya. And this episode...it is well done ill just say...and so i dont say anything more... in short. Yes. Quite an hour of tv here...

TeeZee22

A truly great episode! So much done in about 45 minutes of show!

Anthony McPartlan

Not many reactors catch on immediately what Walt was doing in that phone call (admittedly I was the same first watching it) Maybe one of the reasons is because they were too overwhelmed by the events earlier in the episode. Who knows but it's understandable Anyway look forward to watching the remaining reactions!

No spoilers. The one thing about this show that so many others fail at is it actually lands the ending, this final season like every other season is incredible. It does not miss.

The episode held the only 100% rating on IMDB for 13 years after it premiered. Rolling Stone Hailed it as the greatest TV episode ever. Brian Cranston and Anna Gunn both won Emmy Awards for this episode. As to the timing of telling Flynn, if Walt had been in custody the cops could have raided the car wash and house literally any minute. ANY delay could have precluded the chance to tell Flynn privately. The scene in the bathroom when Holly starts crying for her mama was unscripted and unplanned. The baby really did start crying for her mother who was standing 3 feet out side the camera frame. Brian Cranston saw what was happening and what he could make of it so he totally improvised and ran with it!

Here it is, another Rian Johnson masterpiece and one of the greatest episodes of television ever produced. It just doesn't stop hitting you in the gut as Walt's hubris finally catches up to him and the price to pay is far more than he ever anticipated. Hank's death (going out like a badass, not a coward as Walt would), Walt giving up Jesse to slavery to these monsters, telling him about Jane just to dig the knife in, Walt losing most of his money - which is most of what he cares about - rolling a barrel in a desert pathetically, Marie going to see Skyler to tell her about what she thinks is happening to Walt with Hank arresting him, completely unaware he's dead; Walt Jr being told finally about Walt's double life, him taking Walt's side and lashing out, then when they get back, he finally sees the "man" his father is, as Walt and Skyler fight, and Walt Jr protects her and calls the cops on him. The image of her cowering and Walt Jr looking at shock and disgust at "Heisenberg" is haunting, and even Walt himself has one moment of clarity before he then takes Holly, the only White who he feels isn't against him; Skyler breaking down running after the truck, pleading with Walt to bring her back; the phonecall which is a shocking mirror to the start, where he phones Skyler up telling her his first lie on his first cook, to now where he lets it all out, where, though he is protecting them as he knows the cops are on the other end, still feels monstrous and filled with truths as he sees it. He drops off Holly at a fire station, then gets in the vacuum guy's car with his barrel of blood money, and we close out with a stray dog crossing the road, showing how Walt is all alone now, having destroyed his family. Horrifying and masterful.

Ziro the Hutt

First time I watched it, I just thought he had lost it totally; it wasn't until the second time and seeing Skyler's face click at what he was doing, that it sank in.

This episode held a 10/10 on IMDb for years making it the greatest episode of tv history of all time! Rightfully earned!!

There are 2 great call backs in this episode. This show opens up with Walt's flying pants as the "Crystal Ship" aka the RV drives by. 1st call back the RV has no bullet holes in the door. 2nd When Walt is rolling his barrel of money thru the desert they show those pants laying on the ground all beat up. Take care

Okay I'm nitpicking! but I think the pronunciation has a more Mexican sound to it. I THINK! Correct me if I'm off base here. Instead of "Ozzy-Mandy-ass" (basically how both you, Tee, and Bryan said it), say "Ozzy-Man-DEE-as", since the last element is "Dias" - Spanish for day or days. --On with the show!-- EDIT: Okay I'm already standing corrected. I looked it up. Ramesses! Huh! 😜🤯

Lordy. can't believe we're here. It's all over but the crying.

MertzRocks

I know of another VG/PG TV show that did the same thing a few years later... I think Teegan is going to watch it too, and react. 📺👀

MertzRocks

That's just par - no, that's another eagle - for this show. All hail the King.

Frank One

I hope Light weight enjoys the finale

Julian Ortiz

Have you considered watching The Big Bang Theory i think it would be a good to watch after watching Breaking Bad

La Baanga

This episode just never gives you a moment to breathe. We're just watching helplessly as all the plates that have been spinning over the season come crashing down at once.

Dan

Looking forward to that!

Dan

For me it was the mocking tone of "Walt, you have to stop, this is immoral, it's illegal..." The rest of what he said could be interpreted as true, too, which is the reason I think most people miss it. He did feel disrespected, he did feel unappreciated, and everyone was annoyed when Skyler would nag him about which credit card to use to buy school supplies early on. I think Teegan mostly clocked it because of the mismatch in his tone between changing Holly's diaper and how he began so strong against Skyler, but she's the only one I've seen who caught on that fast.

Dan

Kind of ironically, Teegan spent most of this episode stone-faced, but only because of her rapt attention. I've been eagerly looking forward to this reaction since she was freaking out at S2 E2 "Grilled". But things are so amped right now she only emotes when she bursts lol. Still looking forward to the rest, and her end-of-show thoughts. A live reaction would be pretty cool if she's into that.

Clay F

I like how you were thoroughly invested in the episode.
