I love how they developed the characters in this show! They're all so complex and real and it's been amazing watching them work their way through their crazy lives

That phonecall to "Flynn" from Walt, is sobering. All series, his son stood up for him, going against his mother; but here we see how disgusted he is with his father, and now changed his name not wanting anything to remember his connection to Walt; and when he says to him "why don't you just die!?!" - that line hits hard. Poor kid. We also see Walt declining in his cabin, losing weight as his cancer is now riddled throughout his body. And he is here alone with his thoughts after destroying his family. Was it all worth it? I ask the same question with Mike too earlier in the show. Anyway, Walt is about to give himself in and do the right thing finally; but sees Gretchen and Elliott on the television, which gives him the spark to go on one last crusade, as Heisenberg... Also we see the true horror Jesse goes through in servitude of these bastards. Some say about this show, that it tortures Jesse a bit too much; perhaps I agree with that, but he also made a lot of choices that set him on this path to where he is now.

A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go DOowwwn. The medicine go dow- Ya nothing helps I will be in the quad later selling hugs for a dollar with the cheer squad...all profits go to the "Wounded I thought I was a warrior" fund. You can also visit the "I AM a Big Boy! Gosh" Facebook group for "single parents with 40yr Children" or if you live in the Philadelphia area you can yell into a pillow and throw the AAA batteries, that we all know that most of you carry around (Princeton review poll of ~8,300 residents in phili - do bring/have brought- batteries to sports events- and throw them at a tree and definitely not a horse!!!. ....phili also has the most "horse punching/Horse assault" charges which now you also get to know that that IS a thing... obv this started out as satire but now has become a psa...i am Sean and i dont think it is normal that the morning before a championship sporting event a city paper should have to publish an editorial asking citizens to stop punching police horses...then later have an article celebrating that "incidents of drunk people punching horses has declined" and it was a celebration of the improvement?!?!...no joke ...phili has a 500k reserve budget for butter, because they use butter on city signs and street polls cuz people climb them so they pay "butter crews" to lube the polls so they r harder to climb...i dont even... ...oh ya...breaking bad...lot of emmy wins for obv reasons...ill see myself out...and get a glass of water...water...not wudder...or wooder...phili... ...can we dome it...like in the movie "biodome"...dome tech has to have advanced since then, right?. That movie came out like 4 of my step-moms ago.. ....my dad has bought a lot of diamond rings but the rest of the family doesn't mention it...he should probly get them at costco...bulk buy...ya...bulk. buy... Anyway... savings...ok...buy...... Ya...good episode. I should sit the next couple plays out...(honestly if you made it this far I am gunna wait until after the final episode, but eventually tell my story about being at the BB finale premiere so I was intentionally making a sarcastically long post so when I post that story it doesn't seem so bad that it is a long text...and...while being stupid me and silly...the Philadelphia things are true...ya..) ok....go team...i am bad at saying "goodb-" -

Upon reading your post, I think every character tells Walt to kill himself at least once...i would have to go back but Marie did in confessions Jessie did even mike and saul did...Vince Gillian must have had the craziest story board wall and notes to weave all the shit in and out like he did....

How fitting to get the full theme song playing as the police arrive, and the shot leading to the glass was chilling… indicating there is one final stand. What a moment 🔥

You mentioned that Todd started drinking the tea like Lydia. They have shown Todd to quickly attach himself to others and take some of their traits. He did it with Walter also. In a recent episode, they showed that he changed his phone ringtone to something to do with science. Now the tea and quick infatuation with Lydia. Maybe he will change his phone ringtone again to something to do with Lydia?

Wow. Love your reactions to this and all the BrBa ep you've watched. You really know how to break things down and pull them apart in your outros; and I adore how you don't hold back with your criticisms and your tirades when something pokes at your sensibilities. I don't like when creators censor themselves too much. So I love your potty mouth. 😜 We're all adults here I hope, so let loose! 🤬👀 You're so smart and so beautiful. 💕 (and you know there are so few of us... 😁 ) 🤘😎🎸

MertzRocks

I'm sure he did too... For BOTH shows! Though maybe for the other, the board was Peter's?

MertzRocks

Haha my cousin talks that way but he's from York PA lol. "You spiwwed the bong wooder!" Yeah we did that back in the day lol. Yeah nothing helps...

MertzRocks

Yeah the '82 Thomas Dolby song, 'She Blinded Me With Science'. And hey! 🤫🤫🤫🤫

I'm from Boston area originally and I don't have a super accent but when people say the accent in Boston is bad I always remind them of Philly and also echo what you said... words like "brum" (broom)...lol ya..🤣💯

And multiple multiple times, whenever hank pours walt whiskey, walt always always asks for ice or 'rocks' and hank sometimes even says 'still ice' or 'still use rocks' cuz hank brews his own beer and takes his whiskey straight judging walt, but then now walt is in the cold? Or now that hank is gone? Or he is a new walt and left that other walt behind? ... i dunno but like tarantino never showing what is in the briefcase in pulp fiction, Vince Gillian opens the door for our imagination while hinting at things and bringing the visuals and themes back up again constantly...

SEAN ƴü KAY

"...and hey!" ....is this your first watchthrough? Not judging but txt can sound that way...Todd is an interesting character cuz he does mirror but I won't get into who or why I think so if it is your first watching...Todd also wears opposite colors depending on who he is mirroring...i personally think Todd is Jessie who doesn't question anything done or said from whoever he is mirroring...Todd is completely empty in every respect of the word but is then easily filled up with the morals and thoughts of others...he is al.ost like a roomba haha...but ya is this your first watching? Not judging, but curious...

No, I watched the show when it was first aired on TV. So that was a good while ago. Catching things on this watch that I didn’t notice the first time.

Marie does, yes. Skyler infers it too when she wants Walt out of the house earlier in the season. But for Flynn to suggest that, its got to be devastating to him; so much so, he decides to give himself up, until he watches the tv.

There is a beautiful bit of visual storytelling too in the bar, when Walt lays down his parka. Next to an ashtray. It looks like a robe next to a crown, suggesting his reign is over.

Your wrap-up about the intricate nuances of every character feels like as good a time as any to repeat the sentiment you'll definitely hear a lot come the final episode: please please please watch "Better Call Saul". It's totally fine to take a break after such an intense series, but BCS is just as good, if not better, than BB and wholly justifies itself beyond being just a spinoff. It's not the exact same show replicated, it focuses on other fascinating corners of the world, and it takes Saul Goodman, the one character who flirts with being a caricature in the show, and gives him so much incredible depth and complexity like what you were talking about here. It's a masterpiece of a show in its own right, and together make a perfect piece.

Ron Beek III Art

I'm not going to bring it up yet- but there's something that I missed the first time I watched this show that I think is... illuminating... I'll leave it for the finale though. Great reaction as always!

Andrea 😭 That hit harder than anyone else

I love that it's not just complexity for complexity's sake. Breaking bad will have 5 characters with 100 emotions, with valid motivations for each; Game of Thrones will have 500 characters with 1 emotion each, where half of them may... or may not... follow from the families they come from. And yet Breaking Bad can feel more epic driving across town than watching 1,000 Dothraki charge into the darkness to be slaughtered offscreen. This show isn't just complicated, it's interesting; it's compelling; it enraptures you.
