Is Huell still sitting there waiting ya think? How long you think he stayed? "Forgot About Dre" ??? No... "Forgot About Huell"

John Mellor

El Camino next to finish Jesse's story.

SEAN ƴü KAY

I always thought it would have been nice to see Walter walking into that cookout chamber, then see a finished batch and try it finally...cuz on set it was rock candy and the whole crew would eat it constantly with handfuls in their pockets sometimes using it to stay awake...just saying Walt never smoking it is a missed opportunity imo and thorn in my paw so to speak..but i think vince would say that wouldnt fit walts character so I'll shut up and whisper it to myself...but emmy after emmy more than earned...

SEAN ƴü KAY

We got a reader over here!!! Lol you r right...I am just laughing cuz she also could have titled it "man catches fish then eats it raw like gollum"....we all watching cuz it's either the fish vid or it's the finale... either way...*click*

SEAN ƴü KAY

Walt turning away from Jesse and Todd lying down very Vince G callback to Walt also walking away from Jesse and Jane laying down with Jane Choking the first time....first time worried about the money, second time...not so much...

TeeZee22

Great ending for a great show! And that final shot of Walt looks like the ending shot of him in the episode where he was in the crawl space laughing maniacally when he found out Skyler gave all that money to Ted.

SEAN ƴü KAY

*SPOILER** For the record: Walt is putting his DNA on the equipment at the end and that helps Jesse's case should it come to pass...now I would have liked him to smoke some blue as well...and then he goes..."oh wow... (falls) [beat] (exhales smoke, laughs, laughs and chough laugh with closed eyes)(opens eyes slowly no mor cough and laugh just a slight smile then closes eyes) WALT cont'd: (quietly) My Name Is Walter Hardwell White. (Slow zoom in frame face at a 100% right angle to show Walt has gone straight and he is square with the house b.s. but 'powerful' Vin G metaphor story weave weave.. end with close to face as face goes limp and dies and continue zooming into eyeball as they gloss) [Blank] Cut to: BLACK FADE TO BLACK 2/3 T3XT FRAME TO SOFT BLACK (FADE TO BLACK) END.

Loved watching this again. It’s without doubt the best show I’ve ever seen, and honestly may never be beaten. There are very few things in life that are perfect and Breaking Bad is one of them

I hope you watch Better call Saul and El Camino after this. Highly recommend that you do

Who's more evil Darth Vader or Walter White? Both men grew up innocent turned to the dark side, became bald, responsible for multiple deaths, went into the empire business, hurt younglings for their benefit and while dying saved a loved one. Fun react now off to Better Call Saul Take care

One of the most satisfying things about watching you take this series on is your love and defense of Skylar, a character that was unfairly maligned all throughout the show's run. She was given possibly the hardest role, that of naysayer and then accomplice so, no matter which side she fell on, she garnered derision from those who mistook Walt for a kind of anti-hero wish fulfillment fantasy. But from your other reactions I knew that you'd see through all that and become invested in the layered character underneath. The only other thing I will say...if you thought Skylar was layered, just WAIT til you meet Kim Wexler in "Better Call Saul", one of the best characters and performances in the entire piece. Just sayin'.

Zero reaction/emotion to some of the biggest moments of the entire series.. MIND BOGGLING

For me this is one of, if not the best finales of any TV show ever made. It wrapped up everything so well and every scene is just pay-off after pay-off. And what a way for Walter White to go out (and what a song choice!). I have so much respect for the show runners not to leave it open-ended or to drag the show on after its natural conclusion. There must have been so much pressure with how successful this was to just keep going. But they had a plan and they stuck to it, leaving us with one of the best TV shows ever. Thanks for the reactions, it was really fun watching this again along with you. Glad you appreciated it.

That whole scene where Walt says goodbye to Skyler and Holly, despite it all, was very touching. And it gets me when he has to stand behind a phone box, seeing his son for the last time, as he knows Flynn will only get upset, and doesn't want that to be his last memory of him; is just sad, despite all Walt did. Then he does the right thing by Jesse and helps him to escape, and even gives him the chance for Jesse to kill him, to help assuage some of that horror he put him through, but by the end, even Jesse gives him a confirmative nod as if to say "goodbye partner". And then in the final scene, we see Walt dying in the lab, the place where he was happiest, and it just felt fitting as we see the contentment on his face in his final moments. He was a monster, but a monster we loved. Anthony Hopkins wrote a letter to Bryan Cranston after show, saying it was the greatest acting performance from him, he'd ever seen. High praise indeed, for someone who was meant to be a protégé of Lawrence Olivier and could have been his successor in theatre, and who has acted with some of the greatest actors ever, and that guy who plays Thor. ;) What a show, its a masterpiece from start to finish. I hope you do Better Call Saul sometime Teegan, for some - and that might include myself - its even better. Cheers for the reactions!

Vader. For all the monstrousness of Walt, his actions affected millions (through his meth supply and what he did to those locally and his family). Vader split the galaxy in two and hundreds of billions died and were enslaved.

Ziro the Hutt

Ah Kim, mighty Kim. The goddess herself...

MertzRocks

Yes! Please Teegan, El Camino is the final wrap-up for BrBa. Jesse got away yes, but the police were already on their way and arrived less than two minutes after Jesse plowed though the gate. What happened to him? And then Better Call Saul please, after a break; however long you need to take 💕

MertzRocks

Nahh. They had basically nothing on him so he'd get released. Likely headed back to the bayou...

MertzRocks

Better Call Saul is another. In some ways it's not quite as good, and in other ways it blows BrBa away.

Rob Jaycox

I agree. BCS is a slower burn at times for awhile, but the character development is even better.

Here is what I looked up on the colors in Breaking Bad Blue: Represents purity and sadness, often associated with Walter White's meth production, symbolizing both the purity of his product and the emotional toll of his choices . Red: Conveys aggression, violence, and danger. Characters wearing red often face intense situations, highlighting the darker aspects of their personalities . Yellow: Linked to the meth trade, it signifies caution and the risks involved as Walter becomes more entrenched in his illegal activities. Green: Symbolizes greed, desperation, and transformation. Walter's green apron during his first meth cook signifies his initial descent into the drug world. Orange: Often associated with warning and danger, it appears in scenes preceding violent or critical events. Purple: Linked to Marie Schrader, it represents her obsession with materialism and her complex personality .

I did not want to bring up the movie "El Camino " until you finished the series, but you should watch this next. sounds like other already mentioned it, hope it did not spoil the ending here Also hope you start "Better Call Saul"

I enjoy reliving this series here with your reactions. Hope you had a great time at Disney world

Fantastic series and a fantastic watch along. So glad I watched this again and got to see your reaction to a true masterpiece. Please watch Better Call Saul too. In my opinion it is slightly better than this BB but I can certainly see how others may like BB better. El Camino is a must see also but I’m not sure if you should save that for after BCS, not sure if there are spoilers in El Camino or not. Maybe others can say for sure

Walt finally admits that he did all of this for his own selfish reasons... But I noticed something on one of my rewatches that gives it away early... in the very first episode... Walt sees Hank's drug bust, asks if the money is typical for that kind of bust (obviously tantalized by it), and entertains going on a ride along with Hank BEFORE he finds out he has cancer. I think cancer just became a way for him to coverup the truth- which is that Walt was always going to do this... cancer or not. He felt duped out of the life he felt he deserved and he was going to get it no matter the cost.

Agree this is a fantastic finale. Landed the series in the end quite well. Aaron Paul's acting blew me away this series. Having Skinny Pete and Badger in the last episode was a nice touch. Thanks for reacting to this awesome series. Very much enjoyed your reactions. "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" (2019) is a good movie "led by a career-best performance from Aaron Paul." If you react to it, I will watch the reaction. If you don't react to it, that's fine.

Hold off on Better Call Saul for now and consider these short series: *The Queen's Gambit (2020) [IMDb 8.5] – 7 episodes. Won 11 Emmys including Outstanding Limited Series. *The Haunting of Hill House (2018) [IMDb 8.5] (great monologues) – 10 episodes *Masters of the Air (2024) – 9 episodes *Sharp Objects (2018) (Amy Adams) – 8 episodes *Mindhunter (2017) [IMDb 8.6] – 19 episodes *Normal People (2020) [IMDb 8.4] – 12 episodes *Godless (2017) (western) [IMDb 8.2] (Jeff Daniels) – 7 episodes

I really like Teegan's take on the purple, because she lost her king :'(

Yeah I've seen way too many people write off this ending in particular because it was "too clean" and had too much "fan service" for a messy show. But, if ending a show was easy to do, then ALL the other shows would be able to pull that off, right? At least once in a while? Through the list of other epic shows, WHO talks about the ending in a good way? Game of Thrones? Lost? Dexter? Sopranos?** ... How I Met Your Mother? The Walking Dead? (TWD is probably still going, right? Or one of its many spinoffs?) Even most movie sequels are worse than the original, with RARE exception. Trilogies are okay, but how many had a better 3rd movie than the 1st? ** Some say the Sopranos had a good ending, but it was very controversial and made a lot of people mad. And it's an open-ended conclusion, which alone is a risky art choice. Yes. This, for me, is the greatest TV series conclusion. It all made sense, nothing contrived or conjured up out of nowhere, perfectly within every character's skill set and motivations. They even went through the effort of filming two takes of Skyler and Walt's final interaction... one where they clasp hands on his way out the door, and one where he passes without offering it because he knew he didn't deserve the slightest validation from her. And in the editing room, they made the best choice. Best series ever.

Dan

It's funny you mention that you liked Skyler's reflection in the microwave, because that was entirely unintentional! Vince Gilligan often talks about how someone once gave him praise for it, and he was shocked because he didn't even realize that had happened! hahah Similarly, there were fan theories about Felina being an acronym, where (Fe) was iron->blood, (Li) was lithium->meth, and (Na) for salt->tears. Vince Gilligan again said that was unintentional, but a great theory he'd love to take credit for! Really, it's just an anagram for "Finale". He's so humble, that Vince! That said, there clearly WAS so much thought put into this show that you really can't blame the fans for thinking that the wind blowing to the West was a directorial decision haha. My favorite example of the color theory is when Walt infamously gave his "I am the one who knocks" speech. He's initially wearing a two-tone configuration of shirts: he walks toward the bathroom and halts, taking off the light red dress shirt to reveal the darker red beneath. And out comes Heisenberg. (red = danger, black = death, dark red = mix of both)

Kevin S

Selfishly, I'd prefer you go straight to El Camino, then Better Call Saul. Any break should be a relatively short one so Breaking Bad is still fresh. One dude's opinion.

David Caine

This journey isn't over yet. El Camino (literally means the path or the journey) is next, the swan song that came out of nowhere six years after the show ended and we did not realize how badly needed this movie was to bring closure. We took that long to experience it, I hope you watch it soon. Better Call Saul is not the same type of show and yet being a prequel it also belongs as an integral part of Breaking Bad and is required viewing. It simply makes the parent show better and deeper, as iconic and perfect as Breaking Bad already is. It's understandable to say one is better than the other and you will hear it both ways. To me its akin to choosing a favorite child, I just couldn't. I will say though that Better Call Saul continues and perfects the incredible cinematography of Breaking Bad, and it is better written in the sense of themes and story layers, even more so than Breaking Bad (which is why many people laud it over the parent show) even if Better Call Saul is not a neo-noir modern western like Breaking Bad. Loved that you appreciated the deeper layers and complexity of Skyler, Marie, Hank. Love that you praised Anna Gunn's performance, she killed the role's arc with greatness. And you will love Better Call Saul, which certainly has the best written characters, and overall some of the top ones too, and great actors to bring them all to life, like in this show. Don't hesitate or dwell on it, just dive into it, plan for it on the schedule.

Hi, love your content! Will you be making any YouTube edits of the Breaking Bad series?
