Clovis' name sounded familiar... but I don't recall from where? Did we see him or hear of him in anything else I've watched??

To whatever degree the writers intended to instil that feeling of discomfort in Padme and Anakin's relationship, like there's always something sinister waiting to burst out (and we know there is...), it's very well done. Our perception of Anakin's seemingly "innocent" jealousy is colored by what we know about him. He's prone to outbursts of anger and violence. I can't help but be uncomfortable anytime he appears even a bit angry with Padme. Additionally, Anakin's background is so drastically different from his peers, including Padme's, in terms of education and social conditioning. We can tell that he takes personal offence by Padme's previous relationship with Clovis, despite it being long before they were a couple. Because of this, he holds conspicuously archaic views on sex and relationships that, coupled with his strong temper, yields a despicably sexist attitude. It's a stark dichotomy compared to Padme, who, despite being only a little older, is vastly more emotionally mature.

You missed Obi-Wan's knowing look at anakin.

To be fair she is married now so she wouldn’t be interested in him anymore lol but yeah their back story would be cool to learn about. Also agree that seeing Ani & Padme as a married couple more fleshed out was great to see in this series

Well said. Anakin, as we know, sees things in black and white, good or bad, democracy or dictatorship. For all his talents, he really needed to grow up a lot, which you would think the war would do to someone, especially now he's married. Yet he continues to deny himself that, and it will causes terrible issues down the line, as we know; especially as he gives in more and more, to his ego. Yet we see with Ahsoka, he is a forgiving master to her, sees her mistakes, and though they have their tiffs, as we see in this arc; his way of mentoring her, seems to be working, and she's taking on the right messages. Anakin at a lot of times, especially in the movies, isn't written well; but he can be a fascinating character to follow.

Yeah, they could have just made him straight up likeable, easy to watch. Acknowledging what we know about him, and subtly using it, adds a lot of depth to this show.

No we haven't seen Clovis before. He is a new character for the show Teegan. Most of the Banking Clan members we see, are of the Muun race, who have very elongated heads. I dunno if its my tv settings, but Anakin looks very blonde in this arc. I'm not against it, and in season 2, they brought on more specialised animators to start doing things they couldn't do in season 1; such as increased particle effects, better lighting etc. This will be noticed especially in the next episode. Haha that droid is indeed curvaceous! I suppose it is there to ensure people spend more in the highfalutin areas of Coruscant. Clovis may be a bit creepy, but he's still the better man than psycho boy Anakin, that's for sure, haha!!!

You might be thinking of Kloris, who was Mon Mothma's driver (who worked for the ISB) in Andor.
