I'm randomly realizing now at the time of writing this that the factory is probably the same one financed in Senate Spy and we've just had a bit of a time jump... not sure why I just had that epiphany but better late than never!!

Yes, Luminara and Barriss are both Mirialan, from Mirial

If there was ever more of an indicator that Anakin and Ahsoka are mutually and exclusively perfect for each, I haven't seen it. Boy, that scene where they blast the reactor with the super tank is wonderful.

One of the reasons why I love the Parallel between Anakin & Luminara’s difference in handling there padawan’s is neither are wrong . Luminara’s strict by the book way of following the Jedi code made her one of the BEST Jedi however it gave her less of an attachment to her feelings as opposed to Anakin who cares deeply for everyone close to him in his life especially Ahsoka which made him one of the most compassionate great Jedi however that attachment was ultimately his downfall . Fascinating story telling

Also wouldn’t say Luminara "gave up" on them more so she wouldn’t go out her way to risk lives to try and save someone who possible isn’t saveable

An interesting episode showing the differences between traditional Jedi training, and Anakin's more impassioned one. Barriss is prepared, but perhaps a bit too stagnant when she is required to act on her feet; whilst Ahsoka, under Anakin's tutorage, is far more uncouth, but when push comes to shove, shows similar spontaneity to her master at being able to change up, and save them both. Both methods work well, but should be combined for the best results. We've also seen Jedi leap great heights, but saw Ahsoka and Anakin use grappling hooks in the previous episode. Star Wars is full of minor inconsistencies like these tbh; in this case though, it might be cheaper and take less man-hours to have Ahsoka scale down, than see her jump down to the ground with Barriss. Even though the previous episode went way over budget; Filoni tried to ensure they stuck to their own set budget most of the time. Yep it is different learning from a map, to experiencing the place you are studying. Stuff like this was part of Jedi training regularly down the centuries however, to help Padawan's build up pictures of the settings in their own mind, and to discipline their minds. Ahsoka already learning from the Jedi that the mission always comes first, even if it means sacrificing herself; something Anakin just won't allow - he's the one who has to be the hero, he won't let anyone he cares about dying under his wing. And we see the strong bond he has really began to form with her. Despite their bickering and egging each other, he has grown to care for Snips; and we see that with the two approaches he and Luminara take with their padawans as the episode draws to an end. Luminara, like most Jedi, is stoic; she recognises that change is part of life, that if the force demands she or her padawan are killed to save others, there will be no hesitation from her. A true Jedi follows the will of the force. She is more atuned to it than Anakin. He doesn't think like that, and is much more passionate and emotional, which works with Ahsoka as she is the same. He would probably save the person he loves most, rather than hundreds of others caught in the same crossfire. That's not to say he is wrong, its part of his main strength, as well as his weakness. One of the (many) reasons I adore Obi-Wan in particular, is that he is just as emotional as Anakin, he gets why Anakin is like that; yet when push comes to shove, he will do his duty, serve the Jedi Code, and the Republic, than one he cares about deeply, if he cannot help them. As another Jedi says later "part of a Jedi's wisdom is learning to accept situations outside of your control". You can't save everyone, something Anakin never learned.

I'm always surprised how many people misjudge Luminara in this episode. The chance was extremely unlucky that they would find this power source in the first place to give out a signal. Luminara started to meditate. The force was the most reasonable ability to get some clues. She even says she feels drifting her away. Meaning she can sense her. Luminara didnt give up. She remained calm to use her best instincts she could use, while Anakin remained the hot head that we know. And since we know what Anakin's downfall is that he cannot let go, she was right about that one too.
