Imo a Top 5 arc of this show and that’s saying something cause there’s AMAZING arcs in this show ESPECIALLY in the later seasons. This ep is also EPIC cause of all the forshadowing they gave and a lot of it pays off in this show aswell . Just BRILLIANT 😮‍💨🔥💯

Oof, hearing Ahsoka mention about how Anakin will cope when the war ends, is a big line. I like how even this early on in the Clone War, there is still hints at just whats to come, even if they are subtle like in that scene, the clone speaking about whats to come at the end, or later when we get to Anakin and Poggle! Good note on the different stances and sabre holds between the two Padawan's. Ahsoka uses reverse grip, which suits her acrobatic fighting style. I think Filoni did this on purpose, as Anakin/Vader had another apprentice in the EU called Starkiller, who you play in the classic SW games, The Force Unleashed, which came out in the same year as season 1 of this show. And he had reverse grip in that, so I think is a nod to that. Fun games, even if he was ridiculously overpowered. The actor in that, Sam Witwer, we'll be hearing a lot from later. Its a sweet little jumpscare, when the camera pans from Ahsoka to infected Barriss. Its so creepy and great! And yes, seeing some more of the Vader come out, along with just the right amount of his theme as we see Anakin using his first force choke in the series, as he "do's what needs to be done" for info about how to stop these creatures, and save Ahsoka. You have a lot to look forward to, Teegan! TCW is definitely one of the best Star Wars series; and good to see how much you are enjoying it, even if it hasn't hit its heights just yet. Ahsoka and Anakin saving the day again, and Snips being a badass by herself, having to fend off infected clones and a more experienced Padawan. She did well. The animation showing her shivering kind of also shows just how young she still is, yet we see, she is starting to show her vast potential as a Jedi and warrior. The original ending of this episode had Obi-Wan be the one to speak to Ahsoka at her bedside, but I'm glad they changed it, so that it was Anakin there looking worried and comforting her. I'm kind of getting emotional myself thinking about their bond, and I don't even like Anakin, lol! Anyway, this is a real fun episode to end a quality early arc in the show. I'm glad you enjoyed it, as there were multiple stories tied to Geonosis, from the politics of it, through the battle, destroying the main objective, and then zombie worm things! One thing I was impressed with when watching the show the first time, was just the scope of it; and we see that through here.

Indeed. When Clone Wars is at its best, its as good Star Wars, as one will see.

On rewatching this episode and hear you speak about Vader's theme Teegan, the series composer, Kevin Kiner, who does music for all the Star Wars animations, is a master at variations on Williams' themes, and his own, and we'll see - and hear - that as you go through them. And here, he was still finding his feet on the show with the music, but we heard some good stuff in the previous episode where he ramped up the creepiness and tension, along with here, with the zombies and worm stuff. When he starts coming into his own though, his music is superb. Rebels in particular is his magnum opus, where almost every episode has a notable piece of music in it, and the emotion he is able to bring into the stories with it, is fantastic. Though Star Wars music is generally always pretty great, no matter the media; Kiner (and his kids who later join him and work with him today) I feel, is the natural successor to Williams. He has also composed in live action Star Wars now, and its a banging soundtrack, that only season 1 of Andor could get close to (season 2 of Andor had a different composer, and not much of the pieces hit for me), or at a push, season 3 of Mando.
