Did I mention that I HATE clowns????

Hoping that IT welcome to Derry is the next short TV show you pick to watch!

Cesar Alonso

You would also need to watch the shining before you do

Dan M

YES!!! I hate clowns as well, but this movie is SOOOOOO good! Bill Skarsgard is so flippin’ good at being the scariest clown I’ve ever seen. I like the original 2-part tv movie with Tim Curry, but this adaptation takes the freak meter to the max.

Matthew McDowell

Yes! You are hitting all of my favourite horror movies this spooky season.

Joshua Gideon

She should definitely if she has the TIME read the tome that is the book

Christian Velasco

Fun fact: the kids never saw what Bill Skarsgard looked like in the clown makeup until he was on screen with them. So a lot of their reactions to seeing him were their genuine reactions and they were actually scared of him

Bob Bittner

I've probably read 30 King novels at this point (I've grown up with him, starting with "Carrie" in high school), and for me "It" is his masterpiece. It's a huge book, yes, but I didn't think there was a single wasted paragraph in the entire work.

Bob Bittner

I've tried going back and watching the TV movie, but I just can't... It's so gutted for TV...and Curry's performance, for me, just can't come close to Skarsgard's.

Justtired

Since you’re such a huge fan of clowns, you should check out Hell House LLC. 🤣😂

Mister Lou

You are doing Spook-tober right! Great job, keep up the good work!

Watch 'iT 2' very much sooner than later, please... ...I think 'iT 2' is one of a few handfuls of examples where the sequel is better than the 1st - let alone a great 1st... I vote you try to make room for 'iT 2' on your dockett this october

SEAN ƴü KAY

Others on my mind are Terminator 2 Toy Story 2 Aliens Dark Knight Ghostbusters 2 Scream 2 Godfather II John Wick 2 (maybe) Shrek 2 Empire Strikes Back X2 Star Trek II wrath o Kahn Star trek into darkness (if reboot counts to you) Captain America winter soldier Mummy 2 Blade 2 Underworld 2 Spiderman 2 Amazing Spiderman 2 Ironman 2 DeadPool 2 Transformers revenge fallen Narnia 2 Superman 2 Lego movie 2 Bad boys 2 Ok...that was about 15 min of thought...ill stop but it is rare is my point So iT 2 needs to be on the docket imo... Enjoyed this reaction. Thank-you all involved...

So not really a spoiler as the next film doesn't dive too much into it but Pennywise is actually an Alien from another dimension. A lot of the Steven King books are loosely connected through the dark towers series. Pennywise comes from what's called the Macroverse and his species feeds on all emotions but Pennywise is kinda picky, only wanting to feed on fear. Another example of these connections is people occasionally being born with powers like Doc and Danny's telepathy or Carrie's telekinesis. Also interestingly the creatures from the mist came from the spaces in between the regular world and the Macroverse. And yes Pennywise is controlling the town to an extent. It's a mix between a learned ignorance and not wanting to see these things. Basically in the first go around Pennywise went crazy and slaughtered everyone so he had no one to feast on the next cycle. So moving forwards he made a sort of unspoken deal, you don't have to confront the horror of what I am and in return I take and eat the ones who won't be missed: the minorities, the freaks, the homeless, the runaways, the queers and anyone else you'd rather not have around. Finally yes it is intensifying the violence people have, however, Henry is pretty on par with most Steven King bullies. They're less like school bullies and more like bergening psychopaths that are days away from commiting their first murder. So yeah can't wait for chapter 2

Matthew McDowell

Bullies in Stephen King stories are full blown psychopaths.

A few more fun facts/Easter eggs is: 1. The original TV movie was released in 1990 and the remake was released in 2017, so when Ben was talking about all the disasters that happened in Derry every 27 years and Pennywise would come out to feed, it took an actual 27 years for Pennywise to return in the real world. 2. When Richie was in that room with all the clown dolls, if you look at the clown doll on the left side of the screen next to the coffin, that doll is dressed like the 1990 pennywise that was played by Tim Curry

Matthew McDowell

This was the first horror movie I watched with my daughter, who doesn't like scary movies. I was proud of her facing and conquering a fear, and we are proud of you too.

David Trumble

You spending the whole film getting sidetracked by wanting to flip the Well House is why I'm subscribed to this channel lol

Clay F

Good immersion therapy for you. I liked your outro.

thatlotrguy

I second all the people who says watch IT welcome to derry, the show as a whole is alright, but Bill´s performance as Pennywise is IMMACULATE!

James Hadden

This really was great, but you’re only halfway through 😊

Julian Ortiz

The actor who plays penny wise is the actor that comes out in john wick 4 at the end john kills him. Its like john killed the baba yaga the boogeyman at the end of john wick 4.

William Canizales

To answer yor first question, Pennywise changes his eyes blue to match Bill's, Georgie's brother, to build some trust

Brian Ritchey

Yes, pennywise has influence over the entire town which is why the adults seem to ignore everything that is happening. And to answer another one of your questions, Pennywise is an interdimensional chaos demon that is older than the universe.

Dylan Dickens

Why the hell can’t I see the movie
