Superb stuff! This is perhaps my favourite one-off episode of Clone Wars in the entire series. It has the lot; action, drama, great set-pieces and dialogue, and is full of heart and emotion. Its a cracker! So we catch up with the last two members of Domino Squad, with Fives and Echo, who we haven't seen since the early episodes; coming home to secure Kamino, and see our beloved 99, who is an absolute boss here! Also we haven't seen Ventress for a while, and my god we've missed her. She is back to her sultry, savage best here! The way she takes out that clone trooper, was brutal, yet also, so cool! I love that in her fight with Anakin, when she tries to force-grab the DNA capsule of Jango Fett, that its not Anakin who grabs it instead, but a clone. Its their heritage thats at stake here, and they rise up to meet the challenge and succeed in stopping this assault. 99 showing his worth as a soldier, was all he ever wanted, and he really shone here, as he helped his brothers hold back their own assault. Though he couldn't fight as well as Rex, Cody, Fives or Echo, he was fundamental in ensuring that the Separatists would not be taking Kamino today! His legacy will be remembered...

RIP 99 ❤️ he’s worth of remembrance. The lightsaber duals in this one were also epic, really stepped it up a notch here, and the facial expressions in the animation are getting much more details and fluid. Can’t wait for the next one!

there are so many episodes and arcs i can't wait for you to see but i can also guess what your reactions are going to be.

A little late with this comment but: This, other than Landing at Point Rain (and some hearbreaking ones later down the line), might be my favorite single episode in TCW. Getting to see Kamino up close and get a glimpse into how much the clones truly have the capacity to care for their home is beautiful and makes every plain shiny clone trooper we see in the show have so much more depth, to the point that honestly after this episode (and the arcs to come) it hurts to watch all the clones suffer for the remainder of the show. As someone who grew up with this show I remember coming back to this episode to watch the sacrifice of 99 and wach Fives and Echo grow beyond the almost failures into now heavily respected ARC troopers. ALSO! It doesn't really get brought up in the show, so to explain more in depth: An ARC trooper is an Advanced Recon Commando. They are essentially 'the best of the best', and are supposed to operate where no other clones can. They're basically the clone version of SPECOPS, other than the Republic Commandos (Which is a whole other thing you may or may not have questions about later in the show, so i'll save it).

One of my favorite episodes from this show. 99, Echo & Fives are my standouts from this episode. 99 should be rewarded a medal of honor. Well deserved. RIP.
