Hey everybody,

I purchased a couple of Jinhao 51A fountain pens and I have to say that they have really surprised me. They look great and write as good, or even better in most cases, than any pen I've ever used. I have been using them a lot lately and will report back at a later time with my final thoughts. I hope you enjoy this video. Oh, and I'll be changing the thumbnail to include the owl.

Concerning the audio...I'm still tweaking and this will be by bo means as good as it gets. Something about this one doesn't sound quite right and I'm not 100% sure what it is. Maybe it's too punchy. Feel free to tell me what you think.

As patrons of mine, you have more vested in the success of my channel that most and so I imagine some of you are wondering about my wife. I don't like to talk too much about it on my channel but you are my patrons and so I'' fill you in a bit but spare you the details.

These last 27 months have been pretty tough on her. Though she has never been officially told she had Covid, she had all the signs of it in Late January 2020 and she hasn't been quite the same since. We suspect she may have gotten it again many months later too. I myself have not had Covid that I know of and perhaps I'm asymptomatic, but still a spreader.

She is being treated for problems with her breathing and now we suspect she could have a heart issue or blocked arteries. She will be having some test on her heart the day after tomorrow and she is pretty anxious about them. For many weeks now I have been doing double-duty to take care of her and everything else, so that has kept me out of my studio/study doing the things I like to do. I'm generally a pretty optimistic person and hoping for answers that have solutions, and we'll know more in a couple of days I hope. I appreciate all the comments expressing concern for my lady and it means a great deal to me. Thank you:)

Amazed by $7 Fountain Pen! - Pen ASMR

Relax as I discover just how good a pen the Jinhao 51A is. The original Parker 51 fountain pen was a revolutionary design that took the entire world by storm when released to the masses. First developed in 1939 and introduced to the whole world in 1941, the Parker 51 was the pen to have, so much so that people on tight budgets would sometimes purchase just the pen cap so they could clip into their shirt pocket to make people think they owned the fine, luxurious Parker 51 which had become a status symbol of the time. Parker ceased production of the 51 in 1972 after cheap, ball-point pens had taken market-share away from fountain pens. I hope this post finds you well. Some of you know that I am a fan of vintage Parker 51 fountain pens. When I learned that Jinhao had a knockoff of this world renowned fountain pen I had to try one out. My initial thoughts on the 51A are quite favorable and so I will use it for a few weeks, and in a future video, will report back my thoughts on this beautiful fountain pen. 00:00:00 - Video Intro 00:00:24 - Showing you the Owl 00:03:51 - Vintage Parker 51 Fountain Pens 00:06:25 - The Parker 51 Reissue 00:07:13 - The Jinhao 85 Knock-off of the Parker 51 Reissue 00:07:48 - The Hero 100 Knock-off of the Parker 51 00:10:30 - Bringing out the Jinhao 51A pens. 00:30:52 - Inking the Jinhao 51A pens 00:47:00 - Testing the Jinhao 51A pens 01:01:51 - Video Wind Down This is video 520 of this channel and is best enjoyed when using headphones or ear buds.
