l was geniunely impressed by Park Jihoon’s acting but also his dedication for acting! He lost 15 kg in just two months for the role, surviving on just one apple a day. He even chose apples because he hated them, hoping it'd stop him from eating more. 🫪

It made me realize how often we forget that kings weren't just symbols of power—they were real people. King Sejong reportedly adored his grandson Danjong so much that he would keep the young prince on his lap. Because of what Grand Prince Suyang did to his young nephew, along with the many ruthless actions he took to secure his power, he has been heavily criticized by later generations. Just like the film portrays, Danjong's story ended in tragedy. Yet despite everything he went through, he was remembered as a king deeply loved by his people and loyal officials—many of whom were willing to risk their lives for him. What stayed with me most was how young Danjong really was. Watching the film, I couldn't stop thinking about how impossible it must have been to carry the weight of a throne at an age when most people today are still just high school students. Maybe that's what made his story hurt even more.
