I love RHCP's VA, he voiced one of my fav characters in Naruto so I can't help but enjoy every foul remark he says ahaha. It's also a pretty different role he has so it's cool to hear him in JoJo's too

You're going to love the next 2 episodes, not going to say anything else other than it's good to have joseph back. Also in general from this point onward the series starts to grow more into the having a clear sense of identity. Everything from the setting, to the pacing, villain(s), even general vibe plays a part in selling it. Araki made so many cool small scale decisions that play into the vision. Around part 4 is when he started really being able to put more of himself into his work. It's a weird because you can sort of separate what his interpretation is from the actual plot and writing. His work has always been unique but after part 3 the way he expresses it becomes really tactful. It's somewhere between bold and reserved.

It was confirmed that in the spin-off manga, Crazy Diamond’s Demonic Heartbreak, that Kakyoin’s body was buried in Morioh. This confirms that he is from Morioh. Whether it is canon or not has been a debate within fans, but nothing about CDDH’s plot points has contradicted Part 4 since it is basically a Part 3.5. It features some returning Part 3 villains so I hope you get a chance to buy a copy eventually!!

People complain that Joseph should look better since he's a hamon user, but a look back into joseph's past tell us that he was very inconsistent with his hamon use, only training seriously when his shenanigans didn't worked on wammu. So makes sense. Beef tongue miso is a really popular dish in sendai! Araki's hometown and the base reference for morioh.

It's funny cause I'd say the exact opposite. I'd attribute the fixed and clear identity of Jojo to the first 3 parts. When it comes to the overall plot, the first 3 parts are the most cohesive, the ones that felt like Araki knew where he was going, supported by the fact these parts have the least loose ends, the most overarching story elements and are the most consistent in terms of writing quality and the proper amount of character development. Instead, future parts, including part 4, feel more like loose explorations and variations of what's been done previously with some excentricities sprinkled on top of them. Part 4 is a perfect example of this. People definitely oversell the "intimacy" of this part too. Not to say this part isn't amazing, it's my second favorite, but selling anything Araki writes by talking about intimacy is missing the point imo. The intimate aspects of this parts are either anecdotal, shallow if not simply baseless (people think that Morioh being a japanese city makes it more intimate, but when you read into how Araki came up with this idea, it's not personal at all)

I'm just a bit confused about why you said you'd be spoiled by the intro. You even saw that one, so I'm doubly confused. I can understand if you don't want to watch it every time, I'm just trying to understand. Are you afraid you'll pick up on something ahead of time? Genuinely curious. Fun reactions and analysis as always . RHCP really is the perfect villain for this part of the story.

Josuke can heal Okuyasu 'hand' and it drag all the rest of his body to where his arm is. But later on mid season, it is the other way around and quiet ineffective I would say, iykyk.

Oh! Just thought of something. Don't know if anyone mentioned that DiU came out from 1992 to 1995. It takes place in 1999 partly to reference the Prince song "1999". So, in the original manga Josuke is playing a Super Nintendo at this point, but David Productions updated it to a Nintendo 64 to make it period accurate.

JOJO Part2: ACDC -- manipulates blood/fire / JOJO Part 4: Red Hot Chili Pepper -- manipulates electricity. Yeah, that checks out. Also, with RHCP's stats being pretty much A's around the board, including growth potential, that means he could even get stronger than that. Probably enough to rival or surpass later OP protagonists and antagonists. Shame we didn't get a bit more with him, just a bit. But I'm always surprised his stand dissolving didn't leave Akira a burnt corpse.
