Araki has said that he hasn't licked a spider. That scene is actually inspired by a moment where a spider showed up Araki's Lucky Land studio and his assistants were all freaking out, while Araki himself was just following the spider around trying to get a good sketch of it.

Heavens Door is strong and versatile, but I think a lot people online overestimate how powerful it really is. I mean, what we see it do in the series and spin off is already crazy, but some people seem to think it can just do anything, when there are some clear limitations.

Yes, thank you. Araki has confirmed that he tried to give Rohan an opposite personality from his own. As well as the inverse of his own philosophy: Rohan believes art is more important than life, while Araki believes art is meant to enhance life.

The mystery of who saved Josuke in the snow is one of my favourites. I've heard plenty of theories about time travel, another secret joestar or anything else equally crazy to explain it. Why was the guy bleeding? How did he know Josuke was sick? What was he doing out in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a snow storm? Regardless of who the savior was, it was a miracle Josuke and tomako made it out. I think there's a quiet acceptance among them that it was an unexplainable miracle, and that looking into it undermines the second chance he gave them.

Araki's not-self-insert has arrived! While yeah it is an overexaggeration of likening him to Araki lol, If you've seen Araki's interviews and how he answers, I do believe that Rohan's whole spiel about manga and how real and lived experiences are what makes a manga artist truly create extravagant stuff are what Araki himself believes.

YAY Rohan Sensei and what I like about this part is that ya have villains who become good or have a better sense of moral after meeting our protags and not just blind or paid followers or controlled by DIO, so it is nice to see different adversaries with opposing or different reasons as to why they are against our JoJo and JoBros. Thank you for replying! I really love your reaction videos! I am currently reading part 9 of the manga, and watched through part 1 to 4 again with you haha. The way you react to things, analyze and talk about them is fun to watch. The thing about JOJO, it is so peak that it would be so unfortunate for anything to be spoiled for you. Keep in mind that JOJO is pretty old! Part 6 manga was drawn in 1990 I believe. Part 8 began in 2011! Can you believe that? So it takes time for Araki to create perfection haha. So for all of this to go to waste just for quick reaction videos would be sad and unfortunate. That is what I meant, but thank you for being understanding! As I wrote before I think those mashup videos of all the openings, endings or ratings are fun to watch but only once you are done watching all of this so you do not have to worry about anything. Rohan saying Hazamada would be a terrible character feels like Araki calling out himself lmao Heaven's door might just be my favorite stand on the whole series. Love the concept. A lot of people believe Rohan is sort of an self insert of Araki into JoJo's. Probably a more extreme and distorted version of himself. He never confirmed or denied but it's clear that he loves Rohan. It's one of the characters he drew the most on the last decades. Edit: i forgot! But actually, he drew himself posing with Rohan as the cover for his book "How to write villains" that came out last year. It's more so to do with how 'unique' the others have been. Being around the fanbase as Part 4 was airing, a lot of people was already complaining about the lack of CGI (which at the time I was also sorta disappointed but now is appreciative of it regardless), Chase sounding like a typical (EDIT) *modern* shounen OP made people go haywire. I can't lie, I was also on the same boat hearing it the first time, but after waiting a week for the next episode I was instantly jamming to it so hard.

Rohan speaks volumes to creative minded people, he's got the passion and love of art down but most importantly, that sense of pride seeing your audience happy after viewing your work is the highest drug any creator can ever feel. As somebody who is currently studying at a film school to become a writer-director, my motivations is the same as his, it won't matter if I'm flat broke or a nobody, if there is at least one person who saw my work and gains something out of it, then that is all I need.
