(I think I may have incorrectly thought Act 3 was stronger than Star Platinum, but realised afterwards that it's moreso because he was able to hold Sheer Heart Attack down in one spot!)

I am surprised you never mentioned the change in Star Platinum's stand name after part 3. Now Jotaro calls it "Star Platinum: The World". Dude literally have stolen Dio's stand haha.

The reason I find Yoshikage Kira so repulsing is how human he is. DIO was someone larger than life, no longer human, and he viewed humans as tools, it made his despicable acts somewhat understandable in a way, like how you don't think too much abt killing a bug in your house. Whereas Kira is very much human, but in the worst sense of the word, he embodies the worst of humanity, the lowest of the lows. Yet, he has struggles and fears, weaknesses, it makes him relatable in a twisted way (like his OCD, having urges he struggles dealing with, fearing public embarrassment, amongst other things). Araki is very good at making villains feel fresh, from DIO to Kars to Kira, they're all very well written and interesting in their own rights.

Echos act 3 is both my favorite and least favorite stand. Its personality is so much fun but I wish the ability stuck to the sound motif he had with the rest of the acts.

Yes and no. The name of the stand indeed change after "he stops time". Even in the manga, if you look at Star Platinum's Stand profile panels, the name clearly says "Star Platinum: The World". So he doesn't shout that out only when he uses his time stop, but the Stand name as well has been altered to include "The World".

it is a categorisation based on uniquely time stop qualification. That doesn’t necessarily mean that stand name holistically changed. The stand profiles has a requirement to differ abilities; as “Star Platinum: The World” has a different growth potential, such as not fully developing its time stop duration. The same shit is equally valid on “Star Platinum”. His stats are different cause it’s explaining their different abilities.

After getting sick and working on Christmas… I needed this 😌. This is a fantastic episode. Between the choreography and the visuals, it’s a top tier episode. I mean the fight in this one is hard to beat… could you tell I like this episode?

I love how high the stakes are in the first episode. Koichi's overconfidence almost lead to the death of the most unbeatable character in the verse. We get to see Jotaro in the worst state he's ever been and it's partially Koichi's fault. Imagine the guilt you'd feel. His whole character arc of growth is at stake, just for him to then overcome it all with the clutch of the century and stop a stand even Jotaro was unable to stop.

The stand still sticks to the motif btw! The way Araki made it is that Act 1 in sound, Act 2 is effects, and Act 3 converts all of that into the physical world,

Koichi GOT ACT 3 yipppe yay, lesgoo, and Jotaro what a guy but dang man had his face changed and Rest in peace to our Cinderella, Aya, Merry Christmas, these epsiodes were straight peaka and thanks for em anaylzes and also enjoy time with family. Happy Holidays! While it's a pretty dark scene to end an episode on, these kind of moments are exciting to me. Seeing how intelligent the villain is, even if he has to use other people to get what he wants, highlights just how dangerous they are, and makes me look forward to the heroes growing further to face them eventually. "Sheer Attack", is of course, another Queen song, but funnily enough it's also the name of a Queen album, that came out well before they came out with that song. Keeping in mind that Yoshikage's design is based on David Bowie: Queen and David Bowie collaborated for a bit, but only released one song together: "Under Pressure", which Yoshikage certainly is after meeting our heroes!

People always sh1t on okuyasu for being dumb and limiting The Hand. But honestly i disagree. He reacted super fast at cinderella and saved Josuke. He might be dumb, but not when it comes to using The Hand.

Echoes Act 3's introduction with an Asian squat is such an aura filled intro, bro is ready to be on a rap album cover lmaoo EDIT: Also I love the juxtapose between Part 3 and Part 4 in terms of Protagonist vs Antagonist's stands. Part 3 had Star Platinum and The World, which turns out to be exactly the same stands of their power to stop time, whereas Crazy Diamond and Killer Queen couldn't be any closer, as one heals and the other destroys. One is able to fix things back to the way they were before while the other is able to turn things into dust, as if they never were there.
