NO WAY, 4 episodes/2 hours?! We are blessed!! Time for that real primo mafioso life… buonasera CRIME! Love that the OP/ED are spoiler-free but maybe wait till you meet our main cast as apart from that it just shows them (just shows our main cast, quite picturesque and artistic like Italy), and Freek'n You is such a vibe. So good to see the reliable lad Koichi and Jotaro back!! Araki visiting Italy really paid off, the real-world locations and the new animation style are top tier. I'm hyped to rewatch this before Part 7 to catch everything I missed. GOLD EXPERIENCEEE! Excited let's goooo! The jump from Morioh school kids to 15-year-old gangsters trying to make byyy in Naples is such a crazy shift in tone. Every city has its pros and cons! RIP to Giorno's childhood(traumatic) at least there was someone who was there for him and helped him learn valuable life lessons yayyy even if he was a gangstarrr. SAY NOOO TO DRUGSS KIDDSSS, such great motivations trying to rid drugs from their cities so kids dont take em etc. and love the theme songs, got that jazzy, grand piano church organs vibess, ominous n fun and uplifiting. THEY ARE SO COOOOL such cool new stand abilitiesss. Also the subversion of expectation from each part and life and people in general how various different stories can be present with similar themes of jojo but showing a different side of life, from chivalry to comedy to spirits fighting and trying to defy ones fate to a town of normal average people and kids to a city that has crime but heart. Overall trying to do right for your community and make sure you're people or society are better off than they were, whether it means having to join or do things you may not like but in the end they will lead to an ever-favorable net positive Also, big thanks for the analysis and for being on this ride with us, and get well soon, STEPHHH! ❤️ MUDA MUDA MUDAAAA!

I’m going to miss part 4, but part 5 is going to be amazing!

its safe to watch the openings from next episode onwards, unless you dont want to see the stand designs of the gang until they are revealed

Wonder Of You

Giorno was originally supposed to be a woman I'm sure you could tell by the way he looks. And yeah this part is 2 or 3 years after four so 2001

Icy101yt

HOLY SHIT. 4 EPISODES?? STEPH YOU DO TOO MUCH FOR US. Also yes, Giorno is physically the son of both DIO and Jonathan lol, thats how he is a joestar! , and Joseph is still alive, araki said he’s just Kinda chillin during p5 and p6 (if I’m remembering correctly!!!) which is why he doesn’t appear in this part, he’s just at home in america with his family

Icy101yt

We enter my 2nd favorite of the animated parts

Ooo his Stand did look quite feminine too but I had assumed it was because of the art style! Interesting choice from Araki to divert to a male character instead 🤔

Otaku Steph

I had a very free Sunday haha and wanted to get as much out as possible!

Otaku Steph

I would argue Giorno is kinda justified in killing Polpo since those countless people who do the test either die or become low level thugs controlled by the organization, as Polpo immediately thought "this Giorno kid will be easy to manipulate". Also as a sidenote, Bruno's gang is a low level squad working under Polpo who is a capo, which are basically lieutnants under the boss at the top. So there is a hierarchy but it gets explained more. But other than that, I really like Giorno being different to the other JoJos and the no bullshit and shoot first, ask questions later kinda attitude. You can see the Jonathan/Dio combo in that he does dirty things for a good cause, like stealing money from the tourists to buy ice cream for a kid in ep 1, it shows a hint of both Jonathan and Dio. Also another interesting thing about Giorno which sometimes can get lost in translation (especially in the crunchyroll subs, the subs you use is good at showcasing it tho) is that when he talks he uses extremely polite phrasing, words and manners, he's like a street hustler with polite gentleman wording. Basically the opposite to Josuke who was a kind hearted school kid acting like a rebel, Josuke used a lot of slang and cursed a lot. Giorno is often called boring by some jojo fans but I feel like there are small details people miss and his calm, cold and calculative personality can get mistaken as being boring as he is not as loud and expressive as Jospeh or Josuke. But I personally like him a lot, and his politeness can be a bit haunting. Giorno is the kinda guy who would say "I humbly decline your existence on this planet" before pummelling you to death

Since we just finished with part 4, if you ever want to have a laugh look up "Yoshikage Kira's theme goes with everything." My favorite shitpost from the JoJo's community.

Gyro_GoGo_Zeppeli

22:30 So the funny thing about this is that manga readers knew Part 5 was all but confirmed when this happened in the anime, because this wasn't in the Part 3 manga, it's an anime-only original because of this one specific scene in Part 5 where Jotaro looks at this photo. They really had to find a proper spot to do this in Part 3 too because besides this scene where they meet up with Iggy, the Crusaders were never all together after this up until the the final fight walk to DIO's mansion since Kakyoin was out for most of the latter half of Part 3.

Darkgust27

First of all, I hope you feel better and recover soon! Nice of you to release four episodes in one go, so thank you! Anyways, regarding the names of the Stands being different in the translation and from what you have heard Giorno saying, is because of copyright issues. Indeed, Giorno's stand is called Golden Experience and not Gold Experience. From now on keep in mind that the correct Stand names are the ones being said by the characters and not what is being written in the translation. Another example is Vanilla Ice's name from Part 3 being called "Cold Ice" in the translation. You get it. Enjoy Part 5! :D

steely dan

Yeah, I heard that the idea was scrapped because arakis editor told him a female protag wouldn't do well.

ZombieKi11er

“It’s time to start Golden wind WOOO” made my day (was literally the worlds shittiest shift). This was the season that got me into Jojo (because my friend had watched it while it was coming out, and BEGGED me to watch it). So I watched parts 1-5 within a month… and the rest is history. So to my friend that I unfortunately lost, thank you! Cheers 🍻.

ZombieKi11er

Also my Italian family is from the Tuscan region (part 2 with Lisa Lisa) AND Naples (part 5 beginning). One day… I will go.

Four episodes? I feel like saying: "NOW PLAYING: VENTO AUREO REACTION: THE MOVIE!" -----------Jotaro likely asked Koichi to do it because Joestars can feel the psychic presence of other Joestars, like how DIO and the Joestars could feel each other's presence when they were nearby. --Gold Experience's life giving ability is kind of a nod to Jonathan's hamon and DIO's vampiric powers. --Keep in mind that the lowest stand stat is about human level, so a power of C is still strong when put up against a human. --The unattached zipper punch is kind of a callback to the zoom punch we first saw Zeppeli teach to Jonathan. --Kira got a power up because the arrow moved on it's own, reacting to something. --In regards to karma, JoJo's barely shows any bad karma for killing truly evil people, especially in reaction to evil actions, like self defense or to avenge someone, other than the response of other truly evil people. Remember that several villains were unambiguously killed in part three, with Polnareff specifically joining the group in order to kill J. Geil to avenge his sister. The main consequence of that being that Enya was angry at Polnareff, but they would have had to fight her eventually anyway. ----As someone who used to be a big reader of superhero comics, I feel obligated to mention that the mainstream Batman character has been depicted as having a "no kill" rule for a very long time now. He takes on crimes that the police aren't equipped for, but turns over the criminals to the police. If you would like to bring up a comics character known for killing bad guys, I would suggest The Punisher. ---------Inspiration Trivia: The Stand, Black Sabbath, is of course named after the famous band, but also the song by said band. The stand's design and ability are inspired by the lyrics of the song. "Black Sabbath" was likely chosen as the first real enemy stand name due to Ronnie James Dio, the namesake of DIO, having been the lead singer of Black Sabbath for a time. Almost like he had face the SHADOW of his father, eh? --"Gold Experience" is the name of a Prince album, and Giorno's outfit is based on another of Prince's outfits (like Josuke's was). --Bruno, and many other characters in this part, have outfits based on outfits from Italian high fashion, Araki used photos of Italian models for reference, and often went with ones worn by women to give the characters a more unique look. -- "Sticky Fingers" is the name of a Rolling Stones album, that features the front of the lead singers jeans on the front cover with the zipper on display. The vinyl of that album actually features a working zipper, so you unzip the pants and look at the record. ***********Anyway, be on the look out for the deeper themes and enjoy your first time with this gold experience!!!!!****************

astralman

I'm sorry, but Giorno's stand is called "Gold Experience", named after the Prince album. The localized name is "Golden Wind".

Darkgust27

Yeah my bad. My point still stands though.

ArFanik

I like to think Giorno's Stand is all about breathing life into things, because Jonathan is technically his father, and a master of Hamon (aka sun and life energy). His personality definitely follows that line of thought, he's born of a similar background to DIO, but Jonathan's heart of gold prevailed in the end

ArFanik

probably cause of the shonen manga space at the time, he did end up switching magazines later (during pt7 i believe)

Pizza_Mozzarella

She uses the correct subs tho. Already did in part 4. Bruno’s was subbed as Sticky Fingers and not Zipperman, so she has the right subs

Darkgust27

It is a headsup regardless. She might encounter this issue with the later parts.

simba bimba

Buccieratis ability to tell if people are lying isn’t even related to his stand, he can just do that for some reason

jab

we are getting closer to the legendary scene...

Luke

You compared Giorno to Batman since Giorno kills people… But Batman doesn’t kill though 😖

Fernando Aguja

Four chapters in one, you've really fed us, and you've given me a good dose of my hubby, Bruno Bucciarati💙, for which I am extremely grateful to you. This part is incredible, from Giorno's duality, Bruno's gang, seeing how Giorno is much more Joestar than Brando... I can't wait for you to see what's coming next. P.S. I also want Bruno to confirm whether I'm a liar. 🫣😍

Antidotal

Rohan actually used heaven's door to give koichi the ability to speak Italian

Antidotal

Bruno's va is also the same as gojo's so it's almost a 2 in 1 deal lol

Plataras

Shout out to the best British band Black Sabbath in these episodes 💂🏻

Fernando Aguja

Well, both are certified daddies, and they're super hot... It's a win-win situation.

Gabriel Macedo

Gold Experience is a reference to a Prince album with the same name. Probably my favorite album to any artist if I'm being honest. Highly recommend listening to some of it. Instead of sticking solely to music. This part have a lot of it's names referencing italian food instead. For example, Bucciarati alures to Bruscheta and Polpo means literally "octopus".

ZamNoExam

Yep very true Prince and his gang of food haha

steely dan

But seriously imagine being a mother and naming your child after a food. This is like meeting a kid called "hamburger" or something

Alex

If you happen to catch the ED (Freek'n You by Jodeci). One of the members of the band is a real life JoJo (JoJo Hailey).

Ethan J Soto

I think it's just a classic mobster scare-tactic lol

simba bimba

What makes you say that? I’m curious because I feel like the way it’s told implies he can actually do it

Saffy

i was so shocked when i found out that brunos voice actor is gojo satoru

Otaku Steph

i wholeheartedly agree (also beautiful name and profile pic HAHAHA). NAH HOW ARE PEOPLE CALLING HIM BORING I LOVE HIM SO MUCHH!! Especially considering the context you've given in terms of his speech, he's even more of a badass tbh lol.

lola

Giorno's a really interesting one because he's sort of like a mixture of Jonathan and Dio. One distinct thing is his "destiny"- all of the other jojos are thrust into situations due to their lineage and tragic Joestar fate, but Giorno instead chooses his future like how Dio chose to try and bring down the Joestars for his own self-gain. But unlike Dio, Giorno has this air of justice and kindness like Jonathan. But again I guess you could say that he also has Dio's almost supernatural charisma and cold wit.... aww I just love him sm

randalabra

Isn't it amazing that Jotaro asked Koichi about Giorno and Koichi was like "Hey I've seen THREE GENERATIONS of you fuckheads so I understand you guys more than anybody" and he really did, just by seeing one single guy for a little bit

Undone

DID U JUST SAY, BURGER????!?!?!
