the phrase at the dog mosaic says "cave canem" which basically translates to "beware of the dog" also I really love Illuso's fight, Man in the Mirror is great and I love any fight with Purple Haze and Moody Blues, the Squadra Esecuzioni fights are probably some of my favorite fights in the whole series Purple Haze is such a peak stand design

in the manga when giorno breaks the news that the stand attack is differentiating between men and women, mista replies "are you telling me he's pulling down our pants and checking out the goods?"- the next panel then shows him glancing at trish and whispering "uh sorry.... don't tell the boss." bit random but i just remember the running joke of him saying "don't tell the boss" making me laugh

Also, part 5 has my favorite stands in it. but yeah, giorno is my least favourite jojo tbh. I think that Gold Experience's Abilities being so open and not even disclosed kinda doesn't help either. Like, give life leads into mind slowing, pain intensifying hallucinations, then Medicine and serum manipulation (?) . Even Crazy diamond with his insane asspulls is really attached and restricted by the same rules araki told us in Part 4's first episode. But hey! Giorno is still a better MC than a lot of other anime's mc so.

Fugo's fits of rage seem to be in line with those seen in bipolar disorder. Its likely that he was born with this disorder but his environment made it so that he could never learn to control it properly.

Fugo starting to trust Giorno because he senses his trustworthiness (and bc he has batshit plans that always seem to work out somehow) is giving Speedwagon trusting Jonathan in Ogre Street energy... You can really tell more than anything how close Giorno is to Jonathan in terms of how focused and unwavering their sense of justice is.

I’m SO LATE TN. I did NOT like that work shift. I will say Golden Wind grows on me every time I watch it but I could say the same for every part. I do love this part it’s great to watch after watching part 4. It’s just is nothing like part 4 which in my opinion is GOOD. Parts are always building off of each other.

first off, i’d like to apologize in advance for how long this comment is going to be lol. i’ve been so busy as of late, but i’ve finally caught up with your end of part 4 reactions/what you’ve reacted to of part 5 so far! i’m really glad that you enjoyed diamond is unbreakable, it’s super fun and such a nice change of pace. araki’s stands really start to become unique, too. the ending always gets me ughh that reimi send off🥹 i can’t believe we are onto golden wind already! it feels like your reactions have flown by in the best way <3 as always, i appreciate your commentary and analysis so so much. you truly understand the characters and their motivations. it’s common to see people hate on abbacchio for how he treats giorno, or trish for how she acted in her introduction, but you really do have to understand that they both just need time to trust. abbacchio isn’t obligated to trust a random teenager he just met, and trish isn’t obligated to be buddy-buddy with a group of boys/men she has never met before. not to mention the fact that her mother just died! your reactions are a really nice change of pace, and i always love how you attempt to understand characters and the reasons behind their actions before judging them. on a similar note, i completely agree with you on the giorno take. it upsets me that people are so quick to call a character boring simply because they may not be as ‘out there’ as joseph is (no joseph hate, but he’s just so…unique lol!) your appreciation for giorno’s complexity is just really nice to see. again, sorry for the long-winded comment, but you really are just such a fun reactor to watch/engage with! i’m looking forward to watching you experience the rest of this part- the crew is just so fun ^^ a little late, but i hope you had a great new years, and i hope 2026 treats you kindly <3

I'm sorry, there are a lot of excited fans out there that are quick to spread misinformation without checking sources first. I haven't seen anything to suggest that the "damage reflection" ability was retracted, it's just that the animals don't get directly attacked from this point on, outside of one anime exclusive shot that was likely just an oversight from the animation director. Keep in mind that Giorno describes it as "the lifeform defending itself", so, as we see demonstrated, it's restricted to physical force purposefully applied, so "damage reflection" is kind of a misleading description since it doesn't reflect all kinds of damage.

Yes, Araki has been to all the places he draws. He took many photos of locations for reference. . When you consider how an average stand's power is used, you can think of MAN IN THE MIRROR as using much of it's power to create a full pocket dimension (Sticky Fingers can only create much smaller pocket dimensions that are just big enough to fit himself inside), while HANGED MAN instead used it's power to travel through light to have a greater distance from it's user as well as attack people who share a reflection with it while also having a built in blade weapon. Which means that Kakyoin's deduction of HANGED MAN not being in a mirror world made sense for the situation, assuming that these stand users have a similar level of power for their stands, which seems to be the case for these minor villains. . With this opening, which I love btw, there's a lot symbolism with the chains representing the things that tie each character down. Some examples: Abbachio has his chains through an hour glass, showing how he can't get over his past. Trish's chains are in the shape of a DNA double helix, because of her father. To top it off, Giorno turns the chains into vines at the end of the intro so they can break, showing that he's doing his best to bring hope. . In terms of morality, Jotaro summed up it up best how fights with stand using humans should be looked at during his fight with flesh-bud possessed Kakyoin: "your Stand gets to hide from the victims, the law, the consequences! That's why I'll be your judge!" . I think what Prosciutto was saying with the 'we don't say "I'll kill you"' thing is because they are professional hitmen and their mind set is to be certain of their kills. In regards to his use of his stand (which yes, is quite cold hearted and evil) Hitmen, unlike assassins, aren't worried about whether or not a big scene is made by their kills, in fact "sending a message" to discourage any more dissent is very much part of their methods. . It's funny you should mention escape rooms, because in Japan there have been an escape room for each part for parts 4, 5 and 6. . I know others have mentioned it, but just so you don't feel like you missed anything, check your video at 1:18:25 so you can see Bruno mention that the key activated the tortoise's ability. Narancia says "The tortoise is a stand user?" right after you unpaused for additional clarity. . The tortoise was in the driver's room at the time Pesci checked, and it's still there at this point, as we see.

I must admit i would probably struggle to listen to them to lol. And that situation in a gangster point of view also might mean you lose respect on the organization because you "submit" to a boy

I always figured Bruno counted as the first member, since he also had to be recruited and ended up being trusted by Polpo, which would make Mista fifth. I guess it depends on your perspective.

I love how Bucciarati's, Narancia's and Fugo's stands were introduced in almost a horror like manor. Putting body parts into Giorno's mouth, Formaggio hiding in the sewers or Fugo giving a death stare as crows start silently falling dead around him. It really just gives such a different vibe from stand reveals for the main crew in the other parts.

Fugo's backstory here is actually anime-specific If I remember correctly, the part about beating the hell out of a professor with a book is from the Manga (could be wrong) but the reasoning was never give In the light novel "Purple Haze Feedback" he has a completely different reason
