Golden experience requiem

ALRIGHT GUYS THE TIME IS HERE NEW REACTION, while I’m doing laundry 🧺

Icy101yt

cmon steph putting the end so close yet so far out of reach TwT .. but you know what else is close? PART 6 AND MY WIFE SHE WILL SOON BE REAL doppio saddest death in p5

Wonder Of You

GER is easily one of the most terrfying abilities in the series with the ability to nullify any ability to zero. and yes there will be more scary stands after to steph get ready lol

Novu

Fun fact of the day Cioccolatta was the same guy who chopped up sorbet and gelato back in the assassinations squads flashback. If you go watch and look at the shadows during the chopping scene you can see very clearly its cioccolatta😭💔

Otaku Steph

WATCHING ANIME WHILST GETTING CHORES DONE IS THE VIBEEE

Novu

Additionally now that doppio is dead it means diavolo no longer plans anything nor does he have someone too face the real world while he hides. As a result he becomes clumsy and does things without properly thinking which leads to his downfall. Doppio was holding everything together ❤️‍🩹

Otaku Steph

LITERALLY I WAS GOBSMACKED BY HOW POWERFUL HE IS. THE BAR I THROUGH THE ROOF I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET MORE!

Otaku Steph

OMG WAIT. YES I REMEMBER THE SHADOW HAD SPIKEY HAIR TOO YAASSSS. what a dickhead thank god he's gone. Also, you're completely right. Makes a LOT of sense considering Doppio was always the one doing the dirty work in public 🥹

PsychoHelmet

The reason its referred to a tortoise rather than Coco Jumbo is because he didn't have a name until Araki gave him one in an art/data book well after Part 5 ended.

Robert Collard

“How does Golden Experience Requiem work?” It just does.

Kart3rbroder (aka John)

Bit late so you might dodge my Comment, but HAPPY TO SEE YOU REACH THE END!!. Part 6 is gonna be Peak 🔥

gagarin

part 2 Joseph still solos Gold Experience Requiem Bucciarati is the absolute goat of this part and carried the team like crazy I think the arrow thing is up to interpretation. I guess you could say since Bruno made everyone return to their bodies, and that meant the arrow wouldn't pierce King Crimson, that was the arrow rejecting Diavolo essentially via fate. Fate is a big part of Diavolo's character(and JoJo's in general) especially since Epitaph and King Crimson enable him to essentially avoid his fate by erasing time. I can't say much more except the final arc is peak.

j0zart

pleaseee i cant wait 2 days for the end :*((((

Hardcase

The op in this episode added sfx, the previous versions didn’t have it. Also Bruno 🥹

Gyro_GoGo_Zeppeli

Diavolo's ego is truly a key to his character. The whole episode was him: - being prideful enough to think he was worthy - bargain to others that he's the only one worthy while he called them lesser than him - contemplating escape and survival, he doesn't admit defeat but merely sees it as postponing - discarding that plan because his daughter called him a coward and his pride didn't like that - prideful enough to gloat on Giorno's "failure" to be accepted by the arrow - even when Giorno succeeds, even when he's outmatched, his pride wouldn't let on that he's better than everyone What I'm slightly bummed is Araki never explored, or at least gave a bit more focus on the fact that Chariot Requiem's berserk state's end goal is to just turn everyone into an Eldritch horror, a forced evolution. In the manga, they heavily implied that whatever was transforming within people were things from another dimension.

ahhhh we’re so close!!!!😆 so looking forward to this finale.. it’s been such a joy rewatching alongside you :) trish makes me so proud in these episodes, and i love the sacrifice she made in defying her father. that’s my girl🥹 then there’s bruno💔💔 such an inspiring character, and i love how he was utilized throughout the part. his ascension was beautiful, and the music was heavenly as well. i feel as though he really has trusted giorno from the beginning, so seeing him pass the arrow on was so special ^^ golden experience requiem, and giorno, are so so so cool!! kore ga requiem da!! i can’t wait for you to see more <3 i’m looking forward to the finale & the introduction to part 6!! stone ocean is such a beautifully interconnected story. i hope you have a good few days until we see you next🫶

Bucciaratti def is the main character for me. Rip my goat. Fun fact: with this episode it kinda confirms that in the Jojos universe, heaven is rewarded to people who overall make a better world. We see bucciarati going towards the pearly gates, a fckn gangster capo, who has killed people. I love how Araki depicts justice in this arc. Sadly, i cannot think the same of Giorno. Golden experience is a hell of a Deus ex machina of a stand. I know its Jojos but sometimes GE and giorno feels too much. There are times that the whole crew knows the basis for the answer of a problem but of course is Giorno who knows everything at the right moment, something i think Part 4 did better. By this point in the story i just let suspension of disbelief to actually keep myself from asking stuff about how giorno and GE get's to save the day once again. Glad to be back again! now it's a matter of time to enter part 6 so i'll be commenting a lot more since i avoid to comment on part 5's reactions most of the times, fans get a little too touchy when it comes to giorno and part 5. Pretty divisive part sometimes.

astralman

There will be more clarification in the next episode, but I can confirm that what we see here already is more than time manipulation. King Crimson made a mockery of fate with it's power, so with fate being an elemental force it makes sense that it would find a way to fight back. Part 5 really changed my view on the entire series after I saw it. The JoJos are cursed in a sense, that fate brings them up against those that try to take advantage of fate for their own benefit, since JoJos tend to be problem solvers. Gold Experience Requiem almost seems like an avatar for fate itself, come to punish Diavolo for his crimes against humans and nature. The next episode is the one that has a new intro variant.

If Mista took the arrow "This is number 4"

ZamNoExam

YEP, it just works, and good going, Trish, you are the best and so perceptive, and actually in the localized version, Golden Experience is Golden Wind to not get hit by copyright in the west, so technically you are not wrong lol. PEACE BRUNNOOO MAMA Our goat, he really, or they really do become golden winds in the end. Crazyyy, aww. The first true dog to survive. Diavolo proves why pride is one of the deadly sins, as you can't have too much pride, as that makes you egotistic and doesn't allow you to be humble. Rip Doppio; if you choose to flee or fight another day, that would be a better alternative. As he underestimates and believes he is the best, and that is where he is wrong KORE GA REQUIEM DA. Also, notice how his hair looks like 666, which is the devil's number, meaning he has defied Diavolo, the devil. Ooh, stronger than a devil, that's our Jesus, the son of God. He sort of reminds me of Lucifer, the light bearer, who may seem evil but also in other scriptures is seen as the quest for knowledge, self-actualization, and pursuit of truth and enlightenment. Who becomes the king of the underworld? The underworld in the physical realm does relate to the mafia world and ensures the mafia world works and does not interfere with the normal civilian world. And Lucifer also makes sense since he is an angel thanks to his Joestar bloodline but also related to a despicable man like Dio, so he has both good and evil within him. TWO MORE EPISODES, then part 6 YAY He is carrying on their will, and YES, this show is very symbolic and religious indeed. CRAZY one month and Part 7 release YIPPPE

Pizza_Mozzarella

Some people confuse Gold Experience Requiem's ability with Killer Queen BtD rewind ability but it's actually more broken than that. GER does not rewind time, it makes it impossible for opponents to "arrive at the truth". So in practice what it means is that if someone blasts Giorno's head off with a shotgun, GER says "nope didn't happen" and the truth of Giorno's head exploding never transpires. Giorno really got that Joestar-Dio unbeatable blood in him lol Also RIP to my favorite JoBro and the mommy of the gang. Bruno knew what would happen when he broke Chariot Requiem's ability, but my dude really said "I will be the one to decide when to bow out of this life" after going for days with a cocktail mixture of Giorno's temporary life energy boost and resolve.

Pizza_Mozzarella

That's a pretty unusual take since Giorno often gets criticized for taking the backseat and letting Bruno/Mista/Narancia carry the fights. I feel like Jotaro suffered more from " in the end Jotaro beats the bad guy". About GER being a deus ex machina I kinda agree, part 5 end fight is not my favorite but I will defend it. We saw Kira get an arrow boost that gives him the most suitable power to solve the situation, now Giorno got it. The difference is that in p4 we fought against the odds and in part 5 we obtained the odds. I started to appreciate part 5 final arc more when I changed my mindset from thinking "the final struggle/battle is GER vs Diavolo" to "the final battle is who obtains the arrow. Whoever obtains the arrow is the winner". I mean we lost Narancia and Bruno in order to retrieve the arrow But yeah sometimes you just gotta suspend the belief in JoJo, like Joseph against a God by having rocks and a piece of his arm shoot him up to space. And just to be sure, I'm not trying to be hostile or touchy, just interested in your opinion!

Lunar Tide

So just a quick fan theory (one I chose to believe in) people think that Silver chariot requiem wasn't just walking (because it looks like he's walking in a specific direction), as part of Polnareff's will to keep the arrow safe, fans believe silver chariot was actually carrying the arrow to the one he trusts most...Jotaro 🥺

Lunar Tide

Golden experience requiem is crazy op. You just can't attack him at all, just thinking about attacking him you get reset back to zero. Not even the world, kira or even kars could do anything against him because the protection triggers automatically even if giorno is sleeping or completely unaware.

Lunar Tide

It was the timing of Bruno breaking the light. Who knows if the arrow would have actually powered up Diavolo because it never actually pierced him. Also Dio in Italian mens god, Giorno means new day or... Jesus 👀 the son of God and Diavolo is the devil.

Lunar Tide

Another bit of trivia. Araki probably was going to have Fugo betray the crew and even maybe kill one of them. But araki didn't like how dark it was getting but thought that Purple haze was too op to keep with the crew so just had him leave, because he would have just wiped most of the bosses elite guard 😂.

lola

ahhh tuffest moment in anime history mwahah! giorno is so effortlessly cool, taciturn sweetie. doppio dying was actually really sad for me even tho he's kind of the villain lmao, but him saying that he feels so lonely is really :( but i also feel like diavolo did also care for doppio in a way, as some people reckon that him killing narancia was revenge for doppio but who knows, doppio and diavolo are infinitely mysterious. i like to think that diavolo also felt lonely without doppio deep down, kind of relied on each other like that

lola

I LOVE THIS THEORY. actually so heartwrenching... the stardust crusaders bond makes me emotional < / 3

Zackcat

It's cool because in a way Giorno ended up achieving his fathers dream. A power that surpasses fate.

Theophrastus Bombast

I think it's fair to say that the arrow has no will of its own. We don't even actually know if the Stand Virus is something that was engineered or if it in itself is just a natural occurence.

ikeaapron

The anime is pretty vague when it comes to G.E.R.’s powers. Basically his “Return to Zero” main ability undos any attack that is done upon Giorno. Diavolo’s Epitaph vision was correct but with G.E.R.’s ability to rewrite reality, it makes his move cancel out. Even to this day including future parts of JoJo’s, G.E.R. is considered to be in the top 5 most OP broken Stands of all time💀

Derrick C. Shields

So, interesting notes on Diavolo, and foreshadowing of episode 37 in "Beneath a sky on the verge of falling", Abbachio's death scene. When Abbachio asks his partner how he keeps his enthusiasm for his work alive, even though the criminal might get away, he says two interesting things: that when all you care about are the results, you lose track of what's important; and as long all you are after is "the truth" you'll "get them eventually" (supposedly referring to a theoretical criminal). Diavolo's stand King Crimson has the ability to erase a segment of time, eliminating the "causes" of any events, leaving only the results. King Crimson quite literally only cares about results. And in episode 37, after seeing GER for the first time, Diavolo asks "is what I'm looking at the truth? Is this reality?" And GER tells Diavolo that thanks to its ability, he can no longer arrive at "the truth" of any action he takes against Giorno. It's almost like GER's existence was influenced by Abbachio's will. It's also very telling that during their last confrontation in this episode, despite the tables clearly being turned on him, Diavolo kept clinging to the "results" that his vision showed him: "my vision still favors me! My invincible King Crimson should be achieving victory!" (Says guy who lost)

Babi Ketjap

There is a reason that Gold Experience Requiem is contesting Star Platinum for the strongest stand in JoJo's...

Gabriel Macedo

You can shorten Gold Experience Requiems ability to: "nuh uh" He basically undoes abilities So even tho Diavolo is in fact fated to skip time and win. His ability was undone midway through. Which stopped him of reaching that fate It's almost like Diavolo has been put on "hold" since we couldn't change his fate

Gabriel Macedo

Oh and about how long it has been since the Trish got her stand Shockingly it has been like 1 or 2 days max This part is bizarrely fast in terms of in universe time, like literally less than a week Let me be a f*cking nerd and put here's a no spoilers timeline of everything until now Day 1 - koichi meets Giorno Giorno defeats Bruno and "recruits" him Day 2 - Giorno meets polpo and starts his test Koichi shows up at Giorno's dorm and they fight Black Sabbath Day 3 - Giorno passes the test. Murders Polpo and goes with Bruno to meet the crew In the restaurant. Bucciarati leaves mid conversation because of a phone call, probably receiving news about Polpo's death and deciding what to do with the hidden money. They than leave by boat. Bucciarati reveals what happened to Polpo and the money. Zuchero instantly attacks. Bucciarati and Abbachio defeat him. When reaching Capri. Mista and Giorno go first and Mista defeats Sale. They reach the top of the island. Bruno recovers the money, becomes a capo and receives the mission of protecting Trish. They go to the vineyard and probably rest there. Day 4 - Narancia goes grocery shopping for Trish and gets attacked by Formaggio. After defeating him and going back to the crew. They receive the message of the boss about pompeii. Fugo, Abacchio and Giorno go grab the key while Bruno and the others go to the train station. They get attacked by Illuso, defeat him and grab the key. While they fight, Pericolo puts Coco Jambo on the train station fountain and leaves the message about the disc in Venice. He then offs himself to avoid leaking information. Risotto gets there first, recovers the remains of the Venice photo and leaves. On the train station, Bruno finds Coco Jambo and Boards the train. They fight Pesci and Prosciutto. The fight ending as the sun sets. They get attacked during the night by Melone. Giorno defeats him before they leave by car. Day 4 - Mista and Giorno go retrieve the disc on Venice. They get attacked by Ghiaccio. The fight ends as the sun rise. Less than 15 minutes later, they meet with the rest of the crew and reach San Giorgio Magiore's church. Bruno betrays the boss. Fugo leaves the crew. Just a few hours or minutes later. They get attacked by Squalo and Tiziano at the restaurant. After defeating them, they leave Venice. As they reach the airport to steal the plane. Carne closes in and Notorious B.i.g boards the plane in secret. The fight drags on for the whole dusk and night. Ending on the early morning. Day 5 - they get to Costa Esmeralda. Where Risotto and Doppio fight each other. Abbachio starts the replay but is killed by Diavolo after surviving Risotto's mettalica. They receive Polnareff's message and head to rome. Diavolo contacts Ciocollata and Secco. They spend their night on the boat and Doppio on a plane to Rome. Ciocollata starts the attack immediately once they arrive. The two fights (Ciocollata vs Giorno and Bruno vs Secco) happen this night. Bruno reaches the colesseum while being tricked by Doppio. Polnareff notices Diavolo and gets attacked. Requiem is activated and they all pass out and wake up early the other day. Day 6 - this shih we're seeing rn

Otaku Steph

“NUH UH” LOOOL THIS SENT ME 😂😂 Honestly my brain couldn’t comprehend what was exactly was going on so this helped LOL

Otaku Steph

Oooo I really like this reference back!! Really shows that despite the very short amount of time together, Abbacchio’s resolve reached Giorno through his death 🥹

Otaku Steph

IF G.E.R ISNT SOMEHOW THE STRONGEST STAND OVERALL I WILL BE FLABBERGASTED.

Otaku Steph

A FELLOW EMPATH 🥹🤝🤝 definitely the most mysterious villains in comparison to the previous ones for sure, part of me also wants to believe he was somewhat distraught over Doppio’s death! That naive child 😭

Otaku Steph

You don’t even need a whole crew - just recruit Giorno and GER 😭😭

Otaku Steph

I WANT TO BELIEVE THIS THEORY AAAA 🥹🥹 Polnareff trusts Jotaro to the ends of the earth, so this would add up for sure 😭

Darkgust27

Quick question, you noticed the clear differences between a regular stand arrow and the Requiem one right? The Requiem one has the golden beetle on it unlike the rest. The way you commented about any arrow granting the Requiem ability few episodes back made me think you haven't noticed the difference haha. Just the Requiem one that transforms the Stands to their Requiem forms. So what happened with Kira was a completely different thing. Cannot wait for you to watch Part 6! :D

Darkgust27

You know what is shocking about Rolling Stones? During all this time when you used to watch the outro with the Stand sculptors. Rolling Stone was there since the beginning. A ball of stone (the original form without Buccurati.

Kazoo

this is only a head canon and misconception, it has never been confirmed. There is no reason to believe this is the case because it is the virus from the meteor that gives the powers of the arrow. It having a beetle or different design does not change the composition of the arrow. Bites the dust is essentially a requiem it just pierced kira instead of killer queen

Darkgust27

I can easily say the same to your statement. A head canon, because there is no official statement about that regards. Mine though is clear and has an indication. The unique design of the arrow head.

StoriesFromTheAbyss

There's a really beautiful bit of synchronicity between Giorno and his real dad, Jonathan. When Jonathan first gets imbued with hamon, he grabs a branch and emits life through it causing flowers and leaves to bloom. Maybe this is just my interpretation, but I think GioGio's main stand abilities draw much more from the life giving power of Jonathan than it does from Dio. I think it just goes to show that no matter how much Dio tried to corrupt Jonathan, his true light shines through regardless.

ManilyMile

I hope the irony isn't lost on anyone that Polnareff is willingly helping his two biggest op's children, simply the best JoBro Also something easily missed is that, during Bruno's final words to Giorno, he said he was brought back to life by him. You would assume it was during the first Boss' fight, when he was literally brought back from the dead, but what he also meant was their first encounter, when Giorno announced his dream to Bruno ("When I first met you back home at Naples" followed by Bruno's POV of Giorno saying his dream), that was the first time his life was "saved" by him. The double meaning in the literal and metaphorical makes it much more bittersweet.
