Let's goo... I can't believe it's finally here... SBR and JoJo Fridays are back! And maybe even my BREAKDOWNS BREAKDOWNS (as usual on the Discord since I don't think I can post images here). That is, if Steph wants ofc. Since we know how long they are (and for Ep. 1 especially... there 4 pages of differences oh... my... god...) This is by far the best looking OP of JoJo yet. It was done by Kamikaze Douga, who did all the previous 3D OPs and my god they delivered. We also got the Manga colours for Gyro etc. instead of the Anime. And there are SO MANY references and homages in this OP to stuff later in the Part and also Araki illustrations, all Part 1-3 OPs are referenced here too. The song is an acquired taste and may take a time to click but I genuinely like that they were so bold with doing something unique and different to previous JoJo as it really feels like a new page for the series, and it is reflected in the song too, that JoJo has evolved and started anew which is one of the main themes of the series too. Ofc it won't speak to everyone, but it does really capture that we're in 2026 with JoJo starting all over with Part 7.

First two listens around i was kinda like "eh good but idk" but now it's growing on me honestly. It might not top the stuff pre-part 5 (including 5) for me, but it's definitely getting up there.

Stone Ocean is probably in my top 3 OPs. And while Heaven’s Falling Down is one of my least favorites, that’s only because the others are just really good. One of them just has to be worse than the others. But this one? I don’t enjoy it at all. They should have just used Holy Steel from the fan made OP.

I don't think any of the OPs are below a 6, probably not even below a 7. I suppose we are kinda opposites in this regard as i would not have liked holy steel as OP at all. It's a fine song, definitely, but i would not have wanted it as actual OP. For all of this i'm obviously also only talking songs, not visuals. For visuals part 5 will actually have to eat some criticism for basically using anime shots. I think we agree on heaven's falling down though

Giorno and Josuke didn’t get 3D OPs because they’re the bastard children of the family. Jokes aside, Coda’s OPs are the best. Bloody Stream and Fighting Gold are my favorites.

Yeah, there are allusions to all Part 1-3 OPs (the statue is Part 1 OP, Johnny reaching for the Steel Ball is Part 2 OP scene of similar scene for Aja, the faces above Johnny shot prior are for Part 3 OP1 which had it for Jotaro and Diego Dio pose is for Part 3 OP2 that had the same pose in it too.

1:50 such a good "stand proud" reference, except with jotaro it showed him kneeling then standing up to represent him stepping into his joestar destiny despite the pressure of everything going on vs johnny who we see is drowning and gasping for relief under his pressure 😭😭

omg holy steel is so basic and overrated imo 😭😭 i think it's so bad lol imagine hearing "phantommmmm bloodddddddd" or "golden windddddd" in the part 4 or part 5 opening lol it just has a strong female vocalist is the only win going for it

the two call backs I've seen is where johnny has like the tree of people he's involved with above him like Jotaro had in part 3s first opening and then at the end the guardian statue from part 1 is there to the one where Johnathan put Dio through also the way johnny reaches for the ball is like how part 2 is where everyone reaches for the red stone

Niiice:D But prepare it will be long, there's a lot of stuff in Ep 1. I will post it as Ep. 2 releases tomorrow and then will catch up with Ep. 2 the next day or such since I will have to prepare it anyway. I was thinking of measuring what it might adapt but to be safe I will always wait for the actual episode before making the breakdown so I know exactly what to include. I may try posting it on Patreon too, seems like I can post images afterall. So we'll see:D
