This was so stressful but so entertaining at the same time. ENCOUNTER, INDEED. Light and L finally meet face-to-face and it was everything I expected and more xD

As someone who’s watched anime for half of his whole life, Death Note still has the best overall soundtrack out of any anime to me. Consistently great tracks with the correct emotions emitted for each scenario that they play in. Absolute mastercraft of a soundtrack. These rewatches are making me realize that all over again

Naiyt

I looove the moment where L tells Kira who he is. Such a brilliant move. And the sound effects and voice acting are so good. The amount of tension in a scene with two guys just sitting in an auditorium talking!

Mack

La Noire mentioned damn u really are a gamer Steph

Smart Kaboose

The eye catchers in the middle actually have a BUNCH of stuff not told to us (or light for that matter) in the anime, dialogue or otherwise. I actually really like making up scenarios in my head for mysteries involving some of the later rules they show :) its awesome!!

Smart Kaboose

I love your analysis on light and his father's relationship, cant wait for you to see how it all unfurls

Smart Kaboose

Shits about to get crazzyyyyy hahahaha

SLMNDR

Watachi L dis .. that line is iconic

Otaku Steph

The soundtrack paired with Light going on a killing spree is a cinematic masterpiece

Otaku Steph

I miss being cole phelps and getting everything wrong 😞

Otaku Steph

YES. THE WAY HE SWIFTLY TURNED TO HIM WAS ALSO AN AURA MOVE

Otaku Steph

OH! some of them I’m like hmmm have they been repeated or am I tripping 😂😭

Otaku Steph

Poor soichiro has no clue his son is a psychopath 😭

Naiyt

I like the dub a lot, but that line is FIRE in the sub

Naiyt

Total power move on L's part!

Smart Kaboose

Yeah i think about up to where you are, all the eyecatcher rules were something light is told or figures out. But especially towards the halfway mark and beyond of the anime, the eyecatcher rules get very interesting but largely irrelevant to the story.
