2026-10-09 18:00 I'm really glad that David Production fully portrayed the fact that Johnny's spinning nails are grody as hell, and finally seeing Benjamin's brutal death animated just further emphasizes that! Also Araki continues his obsession with the carotid arteries with L.A.'s last attack! (Dio playing with Jonathan's still groses me out! 😰) Also, the added scenes of Andre falling off of his horse dead and the Boomboom family being swallowed by the Devil's Palm was super tragic for L.A. They literally got reclaimed by the place that gave them their piwers in the first place! (We've finally got the Stand Stat bransitions back, I'm genuinely relieved that they're starting to put multiple stands into one screen as well!) I'm not gonna lie, Lasso Blues is one of the best localized names yet, especially for "Oh! Lonesome Me", it surprisingly works and still sounds sick to say out loud! 🤠 (It also feels like a soft apology for "Moody Jazz")

So stands are essentially alien’s power that you can acquire them via meteorite (the stand arrows in previous universe and the devil’s palm in this universe) Boomboom family’s stand name: Tomb of the boom (by OutKast) Their names are also referenced to a OutKast member (Andre Lauren Benjamin)

damn they really made johnny's nails frightening and dead fast The manga conveys it quite differently since its still images but they really "nailed" (a pun was never more intended) it. Also, second glance at how stand mechanics are revamped in SBR. We know the devil's palm is tied to stands but here it confirms that u can awaken one by entering the devil's palm. Also also, Stands within a family group can be shared amongst them like the Boom Boom family is doing.

Oh! Lonesome Me is probably my second favorite stand from early SBR. Also Mountain Tim says he calling it a stand because it helps him stand up to adversity is neat. I also forgot that Gyro had a bounty placed on him by... someone. Considering that Tomb of the Boom is a relatively weaker fight in SBR, seeing how well DP adapted it is a good sign for the rest of the anime and I'm particularly excited for one of the fights coming this cour.

It seems they got the translation off but Mountain Tims stand is actually called “oh lonesome me” And the Boom Boom Family’s stand is called “tomb of the boom”

Wow they really know how to bring these important scenes to a series. All these (important) scenes have been animated so well! It’s actually really cool to see Johnnys stand in animation. I feel like this part has had more gore in it than other parts. Considering how censored some parts are, I’m glad Netflix shows some of those parts from the manga. Idk how I feel about Oh! Lonesome me (Mountain Tim’s stand) being called Lasso Blues. But I’m sure they have production reasons. I’ve been reading the Manga alongside the series. So I still don’t know what’s next. I really don’t have any theories, but if I remember something my friend said I’m pretty sure the devils palm is bigger than just one place. So I wonder what he meant by that. Also I hope Mountain Tim stays around for a bit.

Lasso Blues reminds me of Moody Blues haha so even though the name is extremely far from Oh! Lonesome Me, at least we can think of Abbacchio hehe. We both experiencing the anime for the first time together it seems!!

A bit delayed, but hey:D I can mention this since it's something cool I noticed. (I will mention it in the Episode Breakdown on Discord too tomorrow or day after too once I finish it). You can notice that each Tomb of the Boom Stand has its own subset of abilities (Benjamin’s Tomb of the Boom 1 directly manipulates and reshapes iron through magnetism; Andre’s Tomb of the Boom 2 allows to magnetize anyone who comes into contact with his blood, causing nearby iron objects to be attracted toward them and L.A. uses Tomb of the Boom 3 to gather and manipulate iron sand from the surrounding ground). I love the detail of the magnetic power stopping to hurt them once they merge after a while because it’s when André dies, so his power that magnetises them together stops (but they still are bound with LA's iron sand) and then just soon after we see his horse carry his corpse already, this enabled Johnny to utilise the finger spin, kill Benjamin and then injure L.A., so them not treating him before and letting André die out of their negligence doomed them too. Shame they forgot about Gyro's ball being destroyed, he suddenly had 2 of them again in this episode, I proposed a cool and funny way for them to show him open his bag and there would be a bunch of spare steel balls:D
