Kubo is fantastic at character design. His characters always have great looks and always look very unique. In fact, he once stated that one of the reasons Bleach has a....slightly....bloated cast is that he just likes drawing character too much.

Fillers aside I never once felt like the roster of characters was bloated, thats just a testament to how well realised they all are. Kubo doesn't even need to give a backstory, the designs are often enough on their own.

the ending 3 is special because there are 13 different version made for all 13 court guards. I recommend you to watch all of them because they are specifically about lore.

Steph reactions of a bunch of filler endings: "Oh woah, I can't wait to see these characters" Finally a canon ending: "Hmmm... that's strange, might be a filler..." 😂 Actually you missed the ending 20, but it's also a filler ending, and it's pretty hard to found, because of the license problems, and you missed the TYBW ending 4 (the last TYBW ending), which one is the best TYBW ending from all of them, in my opinion.

EN1: As Ishida explained, the Shinigami have red spirit ribbons, so Rukia letting it go symbolizes her giving her power to Ichigo. EN3: 12th Captain's sword is modeled after Vajra, which is a scepter/weapon of Indra and Buddha. In this case it's specifically the buddhist variation that inspired the shape. Ginger/"BOOBA" lady - as you mentioned, she looks kinda similar to Masaki. In fact, I remember back in the day when some people thought, based on her design alone, that's she's somehow Ichigo's mom who became a Shinigami after death. ;p EN4: The words on Isshin's back basically mean "I LOVE MY WIFE" (the kanji is just Masaki's name). EN6: The new plushies are the filler characters. That's what I meant by the first filler arc (the Bount arc) being tricky to skip, because these plushies are introduced there and they are gonna stay even in the canon episodes (because they are marketable plushies). EN7: Both the title and the visuals (Hanabi) are a reference to Orihime inviting Rukia to a firework festival before Renji and Byakuya took her back to Soul Society. It's basically a nice little storytelling of "what if these characters went on such festival". EN9: Chad being 15 with that jawline is just like Jotaro being 16 in Part 3 :P EN11: Kubo really likes drawing Shinigami characters in modern outfits, so the ending utilizes designs like that. EN20: You missed this one, cuz it is notoriously being copyrighted. You will need to watch from one of actual episodes probably. EN23: Once again, it's just the ending based on some designs with characters in modern clothes that Kubo made. In this case in american fashion (and some british too). EN28: 10th Anniversary of Bleach anime. And yeah, best to watch the variations of this one when you get to the actual episodes that have it as their ending. EN29: Orihime still has her long hair here! It's just on that one specific shot it seems as if she cut it shorter, but it's simply what's visible from the front here. And no, it's not TYBW ending yet.

Omg I'm so excited you watched all 13 versuons of ending 3! No one ever does. Also for Tatsuya Kitani, he did another song for Bleach that was used for a special mv for Cour 1 of TYBW. It's all footage from the first cour so don't watch it until you get there but the song is amazing and I've watched it way too many times lol.

Im sure someone has already brought it up at this point but the reason the fashion in bleach is so damn good is the author Tite Kubo apparently went to school for fashion design and he and the animators used that to play around with the characters styles.
