Just when I was falling asleep 😭😭

bribricutie3

The literal scream I let out from getting this notification sksksksksk like my fav horror girly reacting to my personal favorite horror franchise like OOOHHH YEEAAAHHHH BABY‼️‼️‼️ this already means everything to me

Ailish

Omg finally lol! Sorry you had to deal with all that but I'm so excited to watch - starting right away! Curious as to who your favorite Loser is - mine's Stan ❤️🤕 though they really are all equal in my mind tbh I don't think i could truly rank them all haha

Brandon L

it (1990) was released as a miniseries on tv before being cut into a movie so they’re basically the same thing.

ThatMattGuy

this is amazing! i literally just checked like 5 minutes ago cuz i was bored and wanted to see if you uploaded and i just missed the notification. <3 <3 <3 Sidenote, i could some Alanda love rn, my grandmother passed away yesterday and I'm a sad gay atm <3 thank you alanda for being a light for all of us

Joe Crammond

Alanda, you never disappoint with your reactions, so glad i became a patreon support to watch these in full

Daniel Williams

"I know there's gonna be children involved because there's a clown, hopefully they don't suffer too much" HOO BOY

Salomé

Yessss. I was just watching a reaction to Welcome to Derry earlier and thinking that you need to see Charlotte Hanlon, whom I'm extremely normal about.

Zo Garcia

welcome to derry on the horizon!

Katumai

Just as I'm about to eat dinner THANK YOU ALANDA!!

Joe from Marketing

on the fourth Day, Alanda created the It reaction. And Lo, there was much rejoicing.

Pop Shocked James!

Just heading to bed damn girl lol definitely watching tomorrow tho! I remember seeing this in theaters it was wild. Just warning you the opening to the chapter two movie is VERY disturbing traumatic it is taken from the book so I get it ugh that scene makes me so mad seeing it but I know how it was back then when you see it you'll know lol you can get through it for sure girl but you won't like it

kuntpower

Lemme get my lemonade weed this is gonna be gooooood

Vicki M

The second you announced you were doing this movie I thought oh no she’s going to suffer when she sees what happens to Georgie.

Em

o mama..... i just know you went in for these kids already... im so sorry

ZarinahBBM

Its TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME

UhJustAsh

Off topic about the movie but can you please please please react to the rest of the paranormal activity movies?

Kent

Welcome to The Loser’s Club💜💜

Ian Macomber

I used to pray for times like these.

seany

you have no idea how long i’ve been waiting for this 😭

seany

i hope welcome to derry is on The List 👀

Tim D.

Hurray!!!!!! We're making this a late-night watch..... weekday be damned!

Dana (Dah-Nah)

only 20 mins in but i knew you’d fall in love with Ben straight away 😭

Beeba

I remember getting ambushed by my sister to go to the cinema and watch this with her and I hated clowns and then having nightmares after!!

Naj.

We're one step closer to me getting the IT: Welcome to Derry reaction. I'll be waiting patiently for that to happen. But also, you should watch The Shining and Doctor Sleep before you watch IT: Welcome to Derry. I know you hate seeing children in peril, so I'm so so so so so sorry in advance, babe.

Naj.

Leroy Hanlon (Mike's grandfather) is soooo different in the TV show compared to this btw. It's like night and day.

Michael Brewer

OHHH THE WAY I JUST FINISHED THE MALIGNANT REACTION AND NOW THIS IS UPLOADED OHHHH LIFE IS WORTH LIVIINGGGGG

Dorian

I know, right

Meredith

I can’t wait!!!

Meredith

Right- I was about to go to bed- oh well!

Meredith

It was worth the wait Alanda!

joshua

so worth the wait!! and btw, the three-hour 90’s movie is just the miniseries in one long movie format! idk if you already know that by now, but if not, now you do! so excited to watch this 🩷

joshua

also!! highly recommend watching the shining before “welcome to derry” on hbo, there’s some important tie ins that you’ll miss (assuming you haven’t already watched). so glad these have made it to the list. ur killing it girl

Em

"RICHARD" is sending me

nathan h

talking abt all the it universe stuff heres everything in order IT (2017), IT 2, The Shining (optional but referenced a lot in the HBO series), and then lasty IT welcome to Derry. IT 1990 is not connected like the modern movies are, its kinda like its seperate thing

Kent

To answer some of your questions IT has a supernatural hold over the town that influences the adults to not care or be the absolute worst person imaginable

Alex D

Thank you Bo!! You made my day with this reaction I can’t wait for Welcome to Derry 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Carly

Omg lemonade weed? That sounds good

Kadiesha

Idk if anyone answered, but all the floating kids were dead. Pennywise eats the kids and those were like his....leftovers 😅 Also, I gotta know who your favorite loser is

Kent

Also their imagination and belief in one another is what makes the things able to work for them (example the bolt gun working, Ben’s kiss saving Bev)

Kent

Imma hold your hand gently when I say this, Those floating kids are dead as fuck, girly😭😭

Andrew

This and The Long Walk highlight something Stephen King is very good at: crafting really poignant friendships between men/boys. They feel so authentic in the way they'll give each other shit but also have each other's backs when push comes to shove. It's something I've always liked in his work.

Simone

GODDDD. Finally and yet I still wasn't prepared. This is one of my absolute fave movies, and this and Chap 2 means a lot to me, most of all because of these characters. They are so, so dear to me. Hopefully it won't be too long until we experience Chapter 2 with you, though you will need a full evening for that one, as it has a meaty runtime.

Andrew

Alanda's Adopted Children List -The Losers Club (It) -The Musketeers (The Long Walk) -Jake, Devon & Lexi (Chucky) -Newt (Aliens) -Alex (Weapons) -Max (Orphan) -Finney, Gwen & Ernesto (Black Phone 1/2) -Dylan (New Nightmare) -Riley (Talk To Me) -Wen (Knock at the Cabin) -Dalton (Insidious) -Kinsey (The Strangers: Prey at Night) -Cady (M3GAN) -Julian (Halloween 2018) -Josh (Fear Street) -Jamie (Halloween 4-6) -Samuel (The Babadook) -Fool (People Under the Stairs) -Andy (Child’s Play) -Max (Krampus)

Tim D.

First, loved the reaction! Always a good time watching these movies with you, Alanda. As for the "Love Triangle," well fortunately every iteration of this keeps it to just the triangle. It went a lot further than just a love triangle in the novel..... Stephen King basically had Beverly making a man out of all of them that summer. So, at least Hollywood kept it a lot more innocent in both this and the original 1990 Miniseries. I like these movies because they are able to up the scare factor a bit more than was allowed on 1990 television, and the kids, in particular, I feel have a much better chemistry here. But the adults in the 1990 miniseries, along with Tim Curry playing Pennywise..... much better chemistry and performances. Still, I don't want to detract from Chapter 2. I just like the way the miniseries was performed and edited. It was still in two parts (it wasn't a single three-hour and twenty-minute watch, although now it is usually watched that way). But that is all I'll share so as to not spoil anything for you. This was well worth the delay!

Andrew

The It movies are why casting Bill Skarsgård in Barbarian was so brilliant, everyone associates him with Pennywise so the second he opens the door in that movie, we were ALL like "I don't trust him one bit."

Jonah

I haven't seen IT since I was like 8 years old (the OG Tim Curry one) and this is my first time seeing the Skarsgard version. I'm impressed as hell with this movie and deeply involved in the wellbeing of these children now 😭 Also, will the original Tim Curry IT be part of our patreon journey together? 👀 I legit don't remember anything about it except for being scared out of damn mind of Pennywise, but I'm sure it must be good to have stood the test of time and to have a whole legacy like it does.

Zombies_Are_Real

I thought all the child actors were great in this! And this is one of the biggest reasons everyone gave Bill Skarsgard side eye in Barbarian! 🤣 If you've never watched Hemlock Grove before, it's where I first saw Bill and it's campy horror fun.

Terry

Great reaction Alanda! What a movie, I can't wait for you to enjoy Chapter 2. I would say if you feel up to it, follow that up with HBO's Welcome To Derry Season 1 because it's directly connected to the universe created in these two movies and it expands on Derry's history, Pennywise's backstory and why Derry is the way it is. It's only 8 episodes as well so it's not too long and the characters are great. The 1990 3 hr great miniseries is good for it's time but you'd be covering the same ground as these two films, same characters, some similar story beats so you're not missing too much but if you ever decide after C2 and Welcome To Derry to do it, it's a great addition to the lore, the acting is great, and you get a very different tremendously scary but camp performance from Tim Curry as Pennywise, virtually unrecognizable from Bill Skarsgaard's Pennywise who was much more menacing and terrifying.

anony

I’ve never noticed the librarian smiling in the background as Ben was reading.

Madeby STVR

I would say she made it they TCM this can be cake but the kids, this was definitely the kick off to not shifting the camera when things happened to kids. But amazing choice starting with this one this faithful 90% but Andy still kept it fresh and tense

Madeby STVR

Try not to spoil things tho everyone most the answers come in chapter 2 and the show, info dumping with Stephen king lore can b3 a lot

Alex Rodriguez

Woke up to this notification 🙌🏽 emotionally preparing for Alanda to get attached to all these kids and suffer for 2 hours 🤣😭 especially during the Georgie scene

diana (world of tinashe)

I cannot believe my eyes seeing this notification…I can’t wait to watch you fall in love with these kids and become momma bear level of protective over them. Sorry this was a hassle for you and thank you for working so hard on getting it to us 🫶🏼

Omar Azz

My tv show is on ✨😊 … this is one of my favourite movies I’m so happy you’re watching it! I have such fond memories of this time the hype was so real back in 2017. I was 16 and went to the cinema with friends it’s still one of the best theatre experiences I’ve had. The movie still holds up almost 10 years later

Andrew

OMG I completely forgot about tv shows! Editing right now, thank you!

Tim D.

Yes, and why do they have to have each other's backs? Because he also creates the most godawful men/boys and women/girls in the history of mankind as well. Being a child in a Stephen King world sucks! Traumatization for life.

DaisyBug78

I love this, and the original one too. It was broken up because it was played on tv and not in theaters so you could break it up like that, if you want to watch it. I thinks it’s really good! That being said- since you watched this first, follow with Chapter Two, then Welcome to Derry while Ch1 & 2 are fresh, then the ‘90’s miniseries 😉

Andrew

You recognized Beverly from I Am Not Okay With This (RIP to such a good show cancelled too soon) but the boy who plays Stan is also in that!

kuntpower

yes!!!! I make lemonade and then I add a whole bottle of tincture in there. I shake it up and there ya have it, weed lemonade.

Em

I cannot WAIT for you to watch Welcome to Derry. It's a rough one.

Meredith

So good though!

April Pellicane

Just hearing the jingle at the start of your show regulates my nervous system. 💚

Omar Azimi

Saving this video as my after-work treat!

MrDANFRAN123

This was everything I needed and more. I can’t wait till you get to chapter 2 and welcome to derry. I know you’ll love them!! 💚❤️💛💙

Kelly T

The miniseries itself is the 90's movie, the DVD I had growing up used to stop the movie midway and I'd have to turn the disc over to get the other half, long movie but honestly Tim Curry is so iconic as Pennywise. If not now, I hope you react to it one day <3 this remake is one of the good remakes for sure though.

Zarii

Don’t make me DRINK ALONE!

Jenson Dudash

Alanda, I just wanted to say thank you so much for this movie reaction. I just had a bad day today so coming on here seeing that this was uploaded really made my day a lot better. So thank you so much for this. Your videos always make me feel so happy and inspired. You're forever my favorite movie reactor!

Maleny

Its a real ongoing theme - and mostly Pennywise's fault - but with very few exceptions, the adults in Derry just truly do not give a fuck about the kids.

Helunky

THANK YOUYOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Aavalicia

Loved the Reaction, since the OG one with Tim Curry was my first Horror Movie ever, it has a special Place in my Heart and I do love the kinda over the Top Pennywise a bit more than this one, but the Movie is still great. Hopefully I can now continue watching Chapter 2 and also the Series, since I didnt have the Motivation to before.

Stephen King

Can I just say I'm VERY impressed at how you got a lot of theories right within the first viewing. I think you're the only one that called out Eddies mom for what she was doing and realized even before Lore drop that Pennywise was affecting the town

Belladonna Rose

"The forehead is egregious." 😭 (53:00)

Daniel McGuinness

It’s so funny to me that Pennywise is a literal interdimensional, shapeshifting, Hell-being, and he uses his supernatural, reality-warping powers to… terrorise children omg 😭 waving the severed arm at Mike, mocking Eddie’s gasps, he’s such a petty BITCH!! 😭

Dani

this one is an absolute favorite

Safi Musgrove

TRIGGER WARNING FOR IT: CHAPTER TWO‼️ The opening scene of the film depicts a semi-graphic, homophobic hate crime. I know this kind of imagery and offensive dialogue isn’t comforting for Alanda’s sensitive soul, and to this day, I can’t fathom why they chose to open the film like that.

Byron Halsey

You know what these are, Mom? They’re GAZEBOS!!! 🤣🤣🤣 1:43:00

Edge

Cannot wait to watch. Will you be reacting to scream 7 when it comes on digital?

joshua

i personally think it’s important to show that even though pennywise is gone by the end of this one, the evil still continued in the town, but yes very triggering 😕

Santiago Hardy

So glad to see you enjoyed IT. I'm looking forward to your reaction to Chapter 2, and Welcome to Derry. Unsolicited opinion: The WTD series really surprised me in the best ways. Without spoiling it, I suspect you will appreciate the series in ways you didn't expect, and dread it in ways you suspected. It's so GOOD! Just be prepared to be scared.😱🤡💀

Belladonna Rose

"I like how the villains got murdered really hard. That was fun." 🤣

Belladonna Rose

I noticed with Beverly there was a continuous use of blood with her. First her buying tampons, then the bathroom filling with blood, when she was unconscious in the sewer the drips of blood woke her up, and her bloody hand at the end touching Bill's face. I know Pennywise uses your fear against you, so we could assume she was afraid of blood. But she didn't seem to fear it. So I'm wondering its deeper meaning. Because she's the only girl and because they had her buying tampons, I'm thinking perhaps an attempt to get her to fear her puberty and blossoming womanhood. She was very sexualized by her father and the rumors at school. So much so that even the towns people like Eddie's mother believed the lies. And she was the object of desire by many of the boys. After all she's been through, it would a logical thing to fear 🤔 I haven't read the book, but I hear she was even more sexualized and there was an inapporiate controversial scene that was taken out of the films. I'm glad they took it out because wtf Stephen King? Smh 🩸 i guess the blood was a more subtle representation of loss of childhood.

Belladonna Rose

I enjoy this series overall. However, I always wished they'd give Mike more personality. I know his house was set on fire because his family is black and he's specifically being bullied because he's black. So his story is...he's black. Lol. Like the other kids have fleshed out characters and his feels flat. But luckily they give black people more personality, back story, and things to do in the series. Here's to Black History Month and us being more than a token ✊🏾🥂

The Dreammweaver

I'M SO EXCXITED FOR THIS. The new show Welcome to Derry has re ignited my special interest in It and omg just you're my fav reactor and I've been sick so this is about to bring some much needed comfort and happiness to me

The Dreammweaver

It happens in the book and from reading the book I can tell you that bigotry is something constantly being touched on so imo it would've been wrong to sanitize the source material exploring all these horrible things cause at the end of the day bigotry is motivated by fear which is It/Pennywise's whole thing.

Kellye Yates

the way you only referred to pennywise as "clown" FRIED MEEE

Super Nova Studios

The floating kids were dead, I think that was his proverbial meat freezer

WalrusWallace

Yayy so happy to watch this with you <3

Noah🩵

Love love love!! First horror movie I ever watched as a kid, so it's very full circle to watch you react to it after being subscribed for years:)! Great reaction as always love (PS, sadly I think all the children in the sewer were dead) (PPS, sadly I do not think chapter 2 is as good, but the show surely is)!

Shay Tuck

Yay! This means we’re getting the show (soon 🤞🏽). Also, as someone who watched the original IT as a kid, please skip it. I love it but it’s a nostalgia thing. You’ll hate it if you watch this first I fear 😂

Alex Barndollar

“So did the other kids go home?” Alanda girl they’re all dead 😭😭😭

Diego Loewenstein

i screamed cried and laughed! this was amazing!!!

AgathasAnthology

I watched this on a plane once but fell asleep… I think it might have been a different movie.

AgathasAnthology

Lmaaaaoooo sorry I laughed way too hard at this

Meredith

That’s a great point!

David Anthony

So the miniseries and the 1990 movie are the same thing. They have a cut with the whole movie and they have a version where it’s split in half like the newer version

JACOB DOSS

Hi Alanda!! You def should watch the 1990 version!! It’s broken up into 2 parts and you could make it 2 videos! It’s SOOO much better than the remakes. I’m LIVING for all the uploads 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍🤡🎈

Milla

I’m so beyond late, Mahalo for the upload gorgeous girl 🥳🤩👏🏽🫶🏽🤙🏽🍿✨🎥 watching now, soooo stoked for this!! Appreciate your hard work.

Omar Azimi

Looking forward to your reaction to IT: Chapter 2! I also recommend watching the 1990 version of IT if you're able here on Patreon.

Offred84

Tim Curry is iconic!!!!

Offred84

Yeah the part they take out if really f'd up!!! WTF SK?!?!?

Faithy

🎈

Elvis Bernal

Eeeek! This was fun. Can’t wait for part 2 😌 “we all float down here” 🤡🎈

Christian

This is a great movie but it's probably my least favorite IT movie right there with the Original. IT chapter 2 is my favorite IT movie but the TV show IT Welcome To Derry is FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!! IT makes the movies feel like a golden retriever compared to a full on werewolf!!! PLEASE React to the Second movie and THEN watch the TV Show!!! IT was voted best TV show of 2025 Surpassing Stranger Things!!!!!

Lysaida Romero

You need to watch Welcome to Derry! It (no pun intended) will have you horrified. Even Bill Skardsgard said it is scarier.

Terrell

Oh you are going to LOVE “welcome to Derry” after watching this and Chapter 2! Plz do whenever you can find the time, do watch the Original “IT”, it will be fun for you to see the differences since your watching in reverse 😆☺️😁

Mauro

Pls pls watch welcome to derry after chapter 2!!

Eris Envy

begging for welcome to derry after chapter 2!!

Janet Michelle- You Caught Me

Definitely! The director commentary also said the hair coming back up and attacking her was the same thing. It all really reflects the abuse from her father and I do love that they delve a bit deeper in Part 2, but they don't take it too far to where Alanda wouldn't be able to watch it.

Janet Michelle- You Caught Me

It's part of the book and based on of a real murder, like most things in It. It's very important to show that the evil is back. The actress that played Betty Ripsom in the first part actually plays the boy that takes the hat in this beginning part. He must love working with her.

Janet Michelle- You Caught Me

My cantor (the man that sings/leads the singing portions) was so amazing he recorded the whole thing for me on tape (I'm aging myself!!) so that I could listen and hear exactly where to sing and enunciate. I actually used to sing competitively and I didn't notice, but apparently lots of people cried during my Torah portion because I was so relaxed/had it memorised and could really just sing it/feel how big that moment was for me. I made my Rabbi cry!

Meaudré Nelson

I’m begging you to please watch Welcome to Derry! It’s so good, and I know you’ll love it ❤️🤡🎈

MoreCInemaPlsss

So glad you watched this. I've been waiting for a great reaction from you. I suggest Gretel and Hansel, it's a very nice interpretation of the old Grimm fairytale.

Urias Davis

Love this reaction! So much fun! Also, apologies if someone has already suggested this & is therefore a bit redundant but… have you ever thought about posting the full length reactions to the movies you have uploaded on YouTube? I would love to see those. ❤️

Tyler

I’m so ready for the new Scream movie!

chris R

Chapter 2! Chapter 2! 🤣🤣😀😀🎉🎉

Lisa

So glad you watched the original x

dale johnson

literally one of my favorite horror movies so glad you reacted to this one i can’t wait to see your chapter two reaction!

ThomasGosselin

We NEEEED Chapter 2 reaction ASAP! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

Preston Salomon

Ugh like skip chapter 2 and just go straight into the hbo series

Apollo

I love this movie, and I'm so glad they didnt made some things like the book, because the main characters would've been nasty. In the books, Beverly fuck with all of the losers group, and Henry Byers fuck with his friend and then kill them, honestly, Stephen King is kinda creepy with child.

docsaico

I will tell you, while the original film/mini-series has its place and was definitely incredible at the time, watching it now is a little hard (or, it was for me!). The effects are just kind of hilarious to me, so it’s not as scary as these newer ones are (again, to me).

docsaico

Also, I know a lot of people don’t like IT 2, but I enjoyed it, and I think it’s, like, phenomenal casting.

Jonathan Blevins

Hi Alanda, hope you’re doing great. You should also put The Shining and Doctor Sleep on your list.

Ty Best

She should have watched the show first. 😭

ItsJaiDuhh1

whew I can't wait if this continues. Hearing "The Black Spot" hurts the heart so bad now.

Richard

The fourth wall Rich(ie)ard breaks were killing me ! Muahahaha! IDK why I thought you had seen these before, but so glad to join you on your first watch! The mystery about WTF is going on was great to witness! So excited for the second part !

Randy Harper

Chapter 2 please! This was such a great watch!

Derek G.

This remake was so good and had plenty of differences from the original tv movie. I was really gagged by Georgie’s death sequence bc it’s so much more graphic compared to the original.

John R

girl all of those kids died 🤣🤣 that’s why Bill was holding Georgie’s raincoat and crying. that confirmed that Georgie was dead. you should definitely watch the 1990 version and maybe split it into two uploads?? tim curry plays pennywise and he is DELICIOUS! it’s made for tv so it’s a little cornier, but it’s slightly more book-accurate.

Hey Jamie

The mini series IS the movie from the 90’s lol. As the movie it’s just the mini series edited together

The Kimbino

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii this is one of my favourite movies of all time. I’m so excited to watch with you queen 🤍🪽

Miranda Rae Blue

He's kinda not worse than Freddy. 'Cause you eventually have to fall asleep. And if you don't, you get deprivation psychosis or sleep deprivation, which crosses over. Which means Freddy can bleed into your real world through those deprivations, which are like waking dreams. At the same time, Pennywise feeds on fear and will show up when you are at your weakest. Which is why you should watch A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Dunno if you watched the entirety of Stranger Things, but they did pay homage to that one at one point... if you haven't... don't wanna spoil it for you.

dear jvon

I LOVE that you liked this !

Liliana

Svetlana mention 😭 I'm so glad to be watching your reactions to this, chapter 2 and Welcome To Derry! Have you seen From? I definitely recommend, I just started it with my sibling and we watched 8 episodes in one sitting the other day. It's so captivating and heartbreaking.

KeKe

All the missing kids are dead😭

Dakota McClung

It's funny and ironic how bad she wants the clown to kill folks! After reading the novel, I can assure ya the adults and Henry and his goons are the worst villains and horrors of the story! It doesn't even bother me anymore all because of the adults and Henry. I too wanted It to just kill all those awful people!

Carly

Currently rewatching in anticipation of Welcome to Derry episode 8🤭

Darth Macchio

Alanda's protectiveness over the little ones in movies is always so sweet 😊💖
