Girl I loved this movie so much most people's complaint was the massive shift from horror to action but I loved it. Also have you seen scream 7 trailer they have done so well not spoiling much basically showing us things we have already seen in the first trailer I'm shocked they usually spoil so much. This is shaping up to be Sidney's best film since the original Gale has a massive role with Sidney. It seems like this will have the biggest twist we have ever seen in the franchise tickets go on sale the 9th I'll be seated on the 27th I wish I could go to the theatre with you having to wait for your reaction will be worse than how long we have waited for the true Sidney legacy movie.

The biggest problem with this movie is that it tried to do too much, and thus it was too long. I love that they leaned more into action-thriller with horror elements rather than horror-thriller; I like when franchises make genre changes that make sense for the story. Like you said, though, this was too convoluted. Part 2 should have been Meg's resurrection with Part 3 saving the world. Megan is the AI Supreme, but Gemma is a wet rag who continues needing a child to save her. Meg's a baddie, but everything else ironically requires fleshing out. It's a shame they're not going to continue the franchise, because it has a lot of potential, especially Meg growing in concert with Cady. But at least we'll always have this Bitchstravaganza! And justice for that pussybow! RIP Pussy! 😔

So, we just had another first, Alanda. This is the first time I have ever watched a movie for the very first time with you! And I am so glad that I did! You kept it fun through the excruciatingly endless expositions. It was like a revolving cycle of, "let me explain what's going on ~ oh no, this is what's really going on ~ no this is what's really going on......" face palm, head desk. Will the real Meagan please stand up! Good lord. But your contagious humor and optimism got me through it, and made it enjoyable, as always! I agree, the first Meagan was much better..... but at least, as you said, there was enough humor here to make it somewhat enjoyable. Any additional plot twists, and they would have ended up making it a Terminator franchise sequel. But this was extremely fun watching for the first time with you! Thanks, and I'm happy I waited until now to watch it.

I’m actually annoyed by how many times Gemma kept sabotaging the plans, just because she suddenly decided she didn’t trust Megan in the middle of the plan’s execution. Also, yeah there’s too much damn exposition in this movie lol

There’s nothing really wrong with loving the franchise still and wanting to see its new instalment. The issue is with the production company and what they did. Kevin, Neve and Courtney etc, are the heart of the franchise and I’m excited to see what they made of 7. This franchise has been plagued with production company issues from the very beginning… hello the original three are produced by the Weinstein company. I would still love to see Alanda watch it, but also understand if she doesn’t want to. I’m fully against the genocide in Palestine, and against all the other genocides and suffering around the world due to billionaires who unfortunately have the power. However, in a world so bleak and dark, I don’t think it’s terrible for me to enjoy a new instalment of a franchise I’ve held dear to my heart since I was young. That’s my think piece, no shade just wanted a different perspective on this topic.

If they had just released the sequel in January instead of trying to make it a summer blockbuster, I think everything would have gone so much better. I didn't mind the genre change and feel it made sense for the franchise, and I think some people who did mind the genre change might have been more tolerant/forgiving if it'd been released in January with less competition. And without the sky-high expectations of summer blockbuster money, we'd be getting that third movie...

Honestly I really liked this movie. I can see why some people miss the horror aspect that was in the original but I do love a redemption story. Even though M3gan was technically the "villain" in the first movie, most of us really loved her. I mean come on she didn't push Brandon in front of the car, he fell. Plus he was a future Charles Lee Ray waiting to grow up. I get that the exposition dumps were many in this movie. Perhaps cutting some of those out and focusing on the insanity happening the movie might have been received better. I hope they take some notes and apply that to M3GAN 3.0. I also still have my fingers crossed for CHUCKY Vs. M3GAN. Lol.

She's not going to make a reaction to it, just like most other reactors...she's been VERY clear about this. I don't think you understand her reasons why since you're talking about what she said in her Scream 6 video, which was before the production company were terrible to Melissa and fired her for not supporting genocide. In her video for Abigail she mentioned everything and she's very clearly stated she won't be returning to the series that used to bring her joy, but doesn't anymore. Neve wouldn't come back because of a cheque, but she came back even after Jenna left to stand by Melissa and so did the directors. Stop putting words in Alanda's mouth. She's VERY clear about her views and stands firmly in what she believes in. I can't believe people are still in the belief that she'll be reacting to Scream anymore.

I was so disappointed in this movie, taking out the horror elements to turn this into an action comedy pissed me off sm. What’s worse I wasn’t that entertained by this movie. So I was not sad to see the movie bomb at the box office. The original blended the horror and comedy so well. Making M3GAN scary when she had to be but her personality was sm fun to watch.
