Hello Droppy :)(could not help myself), I want to say that I love the work you have put in. And want to ask if Alex will ever repaint her cards so that she can also use them to freeze something( I imagine a card with a snowflake in the middle, one half becoming harder and more defined for cold amd the other half becoming more wobbly and wispy until it becomes a flame, with apropriet collors to mach.). Or a poncho or something that would have motives of deep sea octopusses and when she stops and crouches becomes invisible(it would still draw from her while active so it would not be too overpowered.

Hello there, I was rereading the visit to Boston, and when I got to the part the guards were scared of her drawings, I had a thought about how she could paint them as a frog and actually transform then like that. When I gave it a deeper thought, I arrived at a conclusion that it is possible if she manages to draw a photorealistic drawing of them looking into a mirror with some type of deformity that she could force upon them by using her soulmark of TRUE IDENTITY. Like drawing a guy with a ton of acne and he would wake up with it all over his body when there wasn’t any before.
This ‘could’ happen in the future. Look out for it :)

Yes. I am semi-resting. As much as my heroine is resting. The only thing I need is a soul core crystal which would allow me to sleep for half an hour a day and be rejuvenated.
Don’t we all need one? But it does make you wonder what soul mark you might get. I know my domain would have been something about reading, but no ‘Idea’ about my first soul mark.
Soul mark of immersion. Whatever you read exists as temporary splinter you can access to live through it.

I was wondering, what I was doing wrong in term of user satisfaction. My conversion from Royal Road followers to Patrons is very low, so I moved from initial 5 advanced chapters to the model I am using now 12/24. But it did not change much. Frienly Authot suggested that I should end almsot every chapter on a cliff hanger, but I kind of don’t want to do that. I think there is time and place for that, and should not be overused. But maybe he is right. That’s why I am looking for readers’ opinions.

My subscription and reading behaviour is largely because of the (current generations redefinition of) cliffhangeritis.
Authors writing stories with a metric of word count and release schedule to keep readers engaged, makes for a different mentality on how arcs and scenes are put together.
I’m seeing audiobook releases with a chatper length variance of less than +- 2min from mean.
