February Update: Procrastination, Project Progress, V-Day (Patreon)
Content
Hello!
It's been one of the first months of the year of all time, hasn't it? Hope you all are staying safe and/or warm out there, unless you live in one of the more warmer parts of the world.
While it hasn't exactly been too eventful on my end, I've still been battling the burn out bug more times than I care to admit. Which is weird considering I haven't done much. There's just a few updates I'd like to drop here, about how things are going on my end, what I've gotten accomplished, and how things are going to be going forward. If you read my post on dA then you can just go ahead and ignore this (or don't, I'm not your mother).
PROCRASTINATION AND BURNOUT...REVENGE FOR THE PS2
First off, I think I kinda screwed myself putting a bunch of stuff on my plate. While I like planning ahead with all my projects, it comes at the cost of the said planning feeling almost insurmountable, and thus, I end up kinda burning myself out before the work even begins. I've finished paneling and labeling most of MBL: Week 5's pages, but with said procrastination and burnout kind of taking a hold on me, I've been trying to do other things to pass the time, mainly trying to pick up MMD. It's been pretty fun, although it felt VERY clunky at first. I may use it to make some images down the road, I may not...who knows. I've posted my MMD work on dA if you'd like to see it.
But back to the main point, while I'd like to put out more work at a more frequent pace, it seems like whenever I try to I end up making things overall worse for myself. I won't be able to deliver things in the time frame I've initially wanted to, but I hope that people are fine with that. Things will come when they come. I'll still try to supplement you guys supporting me on here with whatever I can, but all I ask for is patience.
Speaking of support, I'd like to thank everyone for all the support shown over the past month or so. I'm glad people still like my stuff enough to support me, even if it's on the older side.
OTHER THINGS STILL BEING WORKED ON
Just a reminder, like I mentioned in the last update post, I'm shooting for parity with both Patreon and dA (even though dA is hellbent on entering their AI slop era it seems like), so prices will be going up in April to match with prices on dA. There will be more benefits to this though, like suggesting fights, project ideas, early access, etc.
When it comes to other projects, there's not much to say without echoing what I said on dA. The DOA project might show up again sooner rather than later, but even more than that, I'm really eager to start working on Shantae: Fight Club again. Basically, it was put on hiatus...but I really don't want it to be on hiatus. I wanna see the half-genie beat up/get beaten up by her friends and rivals as much as you guys do, so keep an eye out for that.
That's enough for updates. Here's the part where I (unfortunately) have to do the whole 'shilling' thing. If you don't like that, you can just stop here.
V-DAY SALE
Valentine's Day is approaching, so we're having a sale on both here and on dA! Supporters on both sites get an exclusive discount, but if you don't want to, there's also a discount for non-supporters well. If you want to support me but haven't yet because of prices and what not, here's your chance.
This will be split into two parts, so for non-paying subscribers, I hope you have a good rest of the month, and have a happy Valentine's day!
30% off your first month subscription: use code 2BB53 (it should already be applied, but just in case it isn't)
30% off any shop purchase for non-subscribers: use code 94B8A
50% off any shop purchase for subscribers: use code 565A1
There's also nothing really stopping you subscribers from also using the non-subscriber shop code as well as this one...but please try not to.
Or do, like I said. Not your mother.
And with that, I'll also say goodbye to you guys as well! Hopefully, lots of things are on the way! Or maybe they aren't. Regardless, thank you all for supporting me and giving my stuff a chance, and for also being so patient. I know it can't be easy.
Stay tuned and see you next time!
