Welcome back to another kdrama weekend familia!! 🫶✨

Wow this episode was so sad 😭 definitely a change from the action-packed run we’ve been on lol.

But we got to learn so much more about Beom Seok in this episode, seeing his upbringing and what he went through at his old school. 🥺 It made so many of his actions make sense...

We felt for Beom Seok but the ending was quite unexpected, lets just say he ended up in the wrong environment ...

Hope you enjoy familia!

Question of the Day: How did Beom Seok’s home situation make you feel?

Omg familia im so scared for u guys to see whats coming next 😭. Especially with Beomseok idk mannnnn ughh its hard.

mitzy

omg yesssss i was waiting

Serendipityinthesea

Marisol by the way when Si eun is with his mother at the restaurant and she tells him that she isnt worried about him, i think it represents the lack of presence and investment she has in his life. Its not necessarily good because Si eun corrects her and tells her that he is actually bad at a lot of stuff, meaning that since she doesnt spend a lot of time with him she wouldn’t know that.

simran

Not Beomgyu...our TXT guys are doing well 🤣🤣🤣

Serendipityinthesea

As I said before as well....the characters in this show have emotional layers...you cannot understand them or describe them just as angry, happy or sad...mann all characters..especially beom-seok's character is so well written and Hong Kyung has played it sooooo well... Also..I think..its not just being followed on instagram for him or not being a centre of attention...its more like being equal to the rest of the group....Si-Eun and Su-Ho treats him as equal but for him everybody thinks he is inferior to them... When the guy in the school and Gil-Su said to him that he is just a lackey and he is all that because his 2 friends are cool...that triggered him and I think that's why he is mad at Su-Ho too thinking that Su-Ho also thinks the same but we know Suho is just a chill guy and actually worries for both his friends And now..he kinda found that praise and attention in this bully crew so he is liking it....mannn...here starts the arc of the century lol They did mention that Young-i is staying with Suho at his place and he got her the job so ofcourse they are close by now...and to be honest she is also just chill and I am sure none of them has any romantic feelings for each other Anyway...I am waiting for your reaction to the rest of the show...and I am sooooo happy to see you are liking it so much QOTD: I really really feel so sad for him and would give him big hugs every day...ugh...its really sad he had to face bullying both at home and at school

Also just wanted to add to your comments...Si-eun is actually not good at fighting...he always uses his surroundings (mainly objects lol) when he fights...that's why Su-Ho was teaching him...but I love seeing him fight with everything he can find...a pen, a belt, a rock, a pot...thankfully while fighting he has been at places where he could find objects lol 😅😅

Personally, Beomseok feeling left out was more from his own insecurities and fear, considering how he is treated at home. It wasn't like they were trying to leave him out on purpose. I feel like his brain made a conclusion that he is no longer welcome in the group because Su-ho's centre of attention has now been shifted to the girl (he's just a natural at being confident and leading people and making friends), so I'm guessing it triggered Beomseok's inferiority complex a little. It may sound like an excuse, but the girl has just escaped a terrible living situation, so I totally understand why Suho and Sieun seem to give her extra attention because she has no one to back her up atm. I don't want to say more haha.

Jazzy

Yes, I hope they caught on. Si-eun is the brains, and Su-ho is the fighter. It'll probably be more obvious as we go. That's why we hear his thought process when fighting because his technique is to try and outsmart his enemy because he knows physically he is no match for them.

simran

Exactly...and that doesn't always work

Shadow Glow

Okay, what was that? I'm not liking where this story is going. I'm scared!!!

"You, I like you, follow me on instagram." haha :) Marisol and Uthman always have such amazing commentary. It's truly a sad moment though, because it showcases how shallow Beom Seok's understanding of what friendship and loyalty is. He ascribes weights to things that don't actually matter in genuine relationships and overlooks Suho's genuine displays of loyalty and affection. Because Suho isn't showing him the exact type of friendship that he envisioned and longed for, he doesn't value the form of friendship that Suho offers. Sieun is different, because he never wanted or dreamed of having friends, but friends found him, so he's more warm and open to accepting the true friendship that he's been given in a healthy way. Suho has always been someone who values working hard, saving money, and spending time with his friends in a physical, tangible, and meaningful way. I can almost guarantee that he didn't even notice that Beomseok followed him on IG, or that Yeong il followed him and posted all of those photos of them together. We literally saw the girl, Yeongil (forgive me if I'm spelling names wrong) grab Sieun's phone and add her own number to it, we also saw her use that tracking app which Sieun only downloaded to help save Suho's life as a way of getting closer to Sieun and keeping up with where he is. I'm not saying that her friendship isn't genuine, because she seems to express herself honestly in an innocent way, but we know that her personality is one where he's used to just taking what she wants. Sieun and Suho just let her do whatever, but her pushy personality agitates Beomseok since she's actively going after the qualities in friendship that Beomseok passively and secret covets and desires but never expresses. I truly do think that he's jealous of her, and of her superficial friendship with Suho which Beomseok incorrectly interprets as genuine intimacy. Suho and Sieun are actually a lot closer because their personalities suit each other, especially in the way that they both accept whatever the other person is comfortable giving and sharing without expecting more or something different. They see each other for who they are and show up when it counts, and also go back to their own lives when they're not together. Suho with his working, and Sieun with his studying. Because Beomseok doesn't seem to have much to escape to or any part of his personal life that he dedicates himself to, when he's not hanging out with them he's spending all of his time stalking Suho on social media and obsessing over things, which is why his personality and perspective is unhealthy. I feel bad for him because of his trauma, but at the same time, so many people experience trauma, and the mark of a good and healthy and strong person is that they overcome that and still fight to be better and kind towards others. Beomseok is a victim, but he's accepting that identity as a victim and using it as fuel to victimize others and himself. What he said about paying Suho's wages was hurtful for Suho because Suho does value money, but he values his friends more, so he was sacrificing something important to him for someone important to him, and Beomseok belittled that. Perhaps for Beomseok, because he grew up wealthy and unloved, money means nothing and is something to look down on, but to Suho, who grew up poor and with his grandmother to take care of, money is a lifeline. Suho also probably doesn't understand what it's like to be bullied in that way, and so I think that they both were struggling to understand each other in that moment where they fought. The difference though is that Suho was trying to help Beomseok, and was making an effort to show how much he cared, while Beomseok's pain is currently making him very selfish. Seeing Sieun trying to be there for both of his friends in those moments is so beautiful, and it's also a little heartbreaking at the same time. Anyways, sorry for the long comment, haha. As always, thanks for the awesome reaction!
