Happy Friday Familia!!!

We are back with another Rookie King episode that takes place on The Harvest Moon Festival! 🎊

To celebrate the members go through multiple "Bangtan State Merit Exams" that consist of Liberal Arts Exams and Military Service Exams (a.k.a chicken fighting and pony racing) 😂😂

We hope you're ready to laugh familia! 💜

Oh yeah familia please react to this BTS countdown: https://youtu.be/-VaIcCn1Wjg it’s really funny and entertaining! Also, are you going to continue reacting to their comeback shows?

JK

The song Maknae line + Hobi gonna do also has dance practice btw. 😌 Oh, since you're going to do the album, which is HYYH pt. 2... I think HYYH on stage: prologue is a part of HYYH pt. 2 since it has Butterfly, and the date of its release. this is a part of storyline so I hope, you'll watch this too. HYYH on stage prologue: youtube.com/watch?v=Bt8648TNX1M&t=178s RUN has other two videos: RUN in hotel room: youtube.com/watch?v=26N-O9lmYRQ&t=242s RUN christmas ver.: youtube.com/watch?v=sjwrE0I-cXM And their RUN MV commentary/reaction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn6tt9Yybi0

Judges were their production team and manager!

you asked for clarification on some terms right when the explanation had been there 😭 keep an eye out for editors captions that are at the top of the screen. they're used to explain things. always pause to read them if you see them come up

Even though the end plate game is in the next episode it was still filmed on the same day as this episode as it's a Chuseok special! (Plus they're all still wearing the traditional outfits) Also in the next episode is the behind the scenes for the maknae lines and Hobi's song/MV Beautiful!! Have ya'll seriously not heard/seen that one before!? Where have ya'll been!? 🤣🤦‍♀️ I've listened to that song and watched the MV soooo so many times simply because of Hobi's gorgeous vocals 😍💜

Suga still calls on the East Winds sometimes. In RUN episodes the others will joke and ask him if the East Winds helped him and stuff. haha. Also, his whole song that he sang was about how he was like the top search on Korean sites because of his body. He mentions that a few times over the years too. It's funny how many of their ongoing inside jokes came from Rookie King. It's a great series. But I'm so triggered by the horse jokes. Oof. It physically hurts my heart.

QOTD I used to celebrate the Harvest Moon Festival ,or Mid-Autumn Festival, with family in my home country in HongKong when I was young. It is a public holiday. Lid different shapes of paper lanterns, have dinner with family. Some traditional foods to have such as moon cakes, boiled baby taros, water caltrops, persimmon, carambola, pomelo. I miss the early days when Suga's so active!

Back in the day, Yoongi was quite proud of his “better than any girl idol’s” legs. Lol. He’s mentioned it many times and so has Korean media. He once talked about how it used to be an insecurity of his to have skinny and more feminine legs, but then he started to just roll with it and laugh about it.

Jungkookie

Since Uthman mentioned it, if you wanna see Jungkook nailing archery with a real Archer, just search in on Youtube 😁

- qotd - I do celebrate Chuseok in my own way - since my family is either in Korea, or on the other side of the country, and my husband isn't Korean, I just make a few of the dishes for myself for lunch - bibimbap - bibim = mixed, bap = rice - mixed rice - bowl of rice, with various fresh and or lightly cooked shredded veggies placed decoratively on top, with shredded fried eggs and protein of choice (chicken, beef, pork, tofu, or none for fully vegetarian) - served with a seasoned red pepper paste, to be added to the specific taste preference of the consumer - state merit exam - during the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, when Korea was still ruled by kings and queens, scholars (wearing hanboks like what the boys are wearing) from prestigious noble families who want to enter into government service, and gain more prestige, honor, and wealth for their families, take the state merit exam (held once a year, I believe) to make sure they have what it takes to join in the ranks of officials who advise the king - they are chaperoned by the head "eunuch" (neutered male), who was wearing the robes of a royal eunuch to make sure they don't cheat - monotonous - means to drone on and on in a repetitive manner, without fluctuation in timbre or tone (Ben Stein - the guy from Ferris Bueller - is famous for this type of voice) - considered very boring, causing the listener to just zone out - ppangu is Korean for fart - so when doing that poem, starting with Bang, it was natural for silly young men to go immediately to farts xD

Jungkookie

Yoongi is so adorablee heree

Literally my life saver. Was going through a tough time today... keep looking for BTS content to watch 😌

I assume what suga mentioned about 'body search 1st class ' something, is probably means the result of his physical checkup conducted by government that all Korean men over 20 (18?19? not sure) must participate. (Althoufh I'm Korean, but womens are not familiar with this military things, so some detailas may be not accurate;) As they must fulfill military duty by joining army for almost 2years, government conduct physical checkup to see if he's strong enough to join army and become a soldier or not. And based on the result, a rank? grade? is provided, so if you failed to attain certain grade you will not acually join the army but fulfill the duty in another way. So some guys say his result proudly, like, "See? I'm a true strong, healthy man, my native country confirmed it", and I think that's what Suga wants to emphasize through the lyrics. :D

The hard working baby bts makes me proud🥺 ( But it's still cringe though)

bembolbee

QOTD : it’s not really celebrated where I’m from but i used to work for a Chinese corporation that celebrated a similar holiday during this time called moon cake festival where after work there’sa program where the employees play this dice game (sorta like gambling really because you put in money into the collective pot)

Jhianne02

Rewatching it with you guys 😊.

Kat

The video mentioned it at the top while Yoongi was singing but apparently a lot of people searched for his body on Korean Sites. To the point where his body was the number 1 searched thing 😂 I believe the part about his intestines not being good is a reference to his appendix which eventually burst! (But I’m not sure if this is before it burst or after it burst)

Tisha Jeon

i really love rewatching everything with you guys! 💜 thank you always..😍

Bellrose Jewel

I'll ask here haha I was wondering if you were going to watch the chapter 5 of the docuseries (on YouTube) because it has tons of spoilers about American Hustle life...

Not just tons, it's actually like a summarized version of the whole series in 30mins. hahahha. But for me personally, i think it's actually great for them to watch it so they can atleast get some context themselves about what AHL is like since armys have always had divided opinions regarding the show.

BTSfan

I just came back from YouTube and I think the flight video is not a summer package but a Now pictorial DVD.

Crazy Fox

Have you noticed Yoongi and Jimin's relationship? They constantly bully each other and often fool around. This happens in the run episodes later, but not so often, and in this show, Yoongi is very active and energetic. I really love to watch this friendship of theirs.
