“Neo, please don’t forget why we’re here.” Corvo said looking down at her. “I saw your fridge. The last thing you need is more junk food.”

Neo pouted but relented, the bag of chocolates she swiped put back on the shelves before she returned to his side, the both of them walking through one of many isles within a supermarket. Once again, she’d pulled her dual colored hair into a messy ponytail, and her usual outfits discarded for more standard clothes or as he learned, changed by her illusions.

It was probably a matter of time before someone noticed who she was, but their little trip here should be over soon.

Hands behind her back, umbrella held in them, Neo seemed to silently hum to herself as she walked backwards beside the shopping cart he was pushing, smiling at him. He returned it.

She’d told him to get permission to stay out overnight. As it turned out his mother said he never needed permission, but she did want to know ahead of time when he would be staying out so she could keep that in mind. Honestly, he was starting to wonder if the rules he and Ruby had been following all this time weren’t even really rules anymore now that they were older and just habits because their mother never told them they could do otherwise.

Given all they'd gotten up to since they met, he expected to either end up in a losing fight or, well, doing the deed. Instead, they’d just spent most of the day relaxing.

Then he took a look around her kitchen.

Now he and Ruby liked to stuff their faces with more sugar than they should, but they had their mom cooking for them too. Neo lived alone. Nearly empty cabinets with a fridge and freezer full of desserts rather than real food wasn’t a good thing.

Grocery shopping wasn’t the way he expected an invite to spend the night at her place to go but he didn’t mind it. There was one thing he’d forgotten to ask though.

“You do know how to cook, right?” Corvo asked as he grabbed a number of different seasonings off a shelf. Neo shook her head. “Hmmm, I can handle it for you if you want but I am going to Beacon. I probably won’t have much time outside of the weekends.” He knew students from first years to fourth all had the freedom to go to and from the city all throughout the week, but Mom had already warned him he’d have to do plenty of studying to catch up in academic classes. With that and training with a whole team he probably wouldn’t have that kind of time on his hands.

Studying might be the only thing he wasn’t looking forward to at all.

“Want me to teach you some stuff? It can be more fun than it looks.”

Neo tilted her head then nodded.

XOXO

Rice was one of the easiest things in the world to make. The rice itself, water, a pot, and a stove. Of course, you could forgo the stove and pot, things made even easier by a dedicated rice cooker. Either way, the worst thing a beginner could do was burn the rice, or have it come out wrong due to a bad rice to water ratio and horrible timing. Still edible but not something anyone should want.

“This is…” Corvo trailed off, unsure of what to make of what he was looking at. It was rice. Or maybe rice’s monstrous cousin. The pile of dark mush on the plate could barely be called food. Off putting appearance aside, there was a horrible scent coming from it that he couldn’t begin to fathom the origin of. He’d had her forget any seasoning just to keep things as simple as possible too. “…the rice of all time?”

Neo, standing beside him, tilted her head and reached down, spoon picked up off the counter and a spoonful of her abomination scooped up.

And held up towards him.

“They say the chef knows best.” Corvo said, inching away from the offered food, one hand behind his back as a cold sweat began to build up. “I think you should taste it first.”

She raised a brow, inching closer.

He took a step back.

“Stop it.”

Of course, she didn’t listen, a grin spread across her face as she abruptly shot forward.

Snap!

All around him except for Neo froze, her already prepped aura shield resulting in her being slowed.

He stepped around her slow moving form.

One.

His eyes dropped to the spoon. Neo was the one who decided to start this and she was always messing with him. Now was the perfect chance for a little justified revenge.

Two.

Adjusting her grip, he forced the spoonful into her mouth before pulling it back and fully backing away.

Three.

Time resumed, Neo’s rush coming to a swift end, her face twisted into one of pure disgust as she spat the mush out right into the nearby sink. She turned to him again, another scoop taken as she stalked forward, this time glaring at him.

Maybe that was a bad idea.

She shot forward again. With his semblance he managed to evade her several more times. But that could not last forever.

Some furniture dropped in her pursuit, it wasn’t long until Neo had him on the ground, a knee used to pin down one of his arms while she twisted the other at an awkward angle, spoon brought close to his lips, the smell alone enough to nearly knock someone out on the spot.

So, this was how he died.

XOXO

Corvo held back a wince, a burning pain coming from his left shoulder. It passed quickly only for another flash of the pain to come from a lower part of his arm. Alcohol covered cloth in hand, Neo moved her way across the many shallow cuts she’d left behind on him after another fight out on a nearby rooftop. Aura would take care of the wounds as it regenerated but he guessed Neo was taking extra steps to ensure none of it caused problems beforehand.

While she crawled onto her bed, moving to attend to the few wounds on his back, he raised a hand to his bandaged right shoulder.

It started to feel like they were training together, except, unlike with everyone else, things didn’t end once he was out of aura. He was starting to adjust to the concept of fighting without a constant shield to stop the worst from happening, their newest fight not as troubling as the first two.

Right until she stabbed him.

“Why-“ He couldn’t say she was attacking him. Every fight after their first involved him following her willingly, knowing that it was a possibility, and she’d might as well have declared that’d she keep doing it. “-do you take things so far when we fight?”

The stings across his back halting, arms wrapped around his neck, and Neo’s head coming over his shoulder. Her head was tilted, a hard stare given to him, her brow raised.

“I come here, because, well, I want to see you.” Corvo said. The stab and cuts were all a new degree of pain that he’d never faced before but at the end of the day it was still just pain. It was just a part of being a huntsman. If anything, it helped keep him focus in battle sometimes.

Neo kept up her stare, Corvo suddenly feeling like he just embarrassed himself.

“I’m serious.” He insisted. “You don’t think I keep coming back just because we, you know, do you?” Neo smiled, the faint exhale that left her nose grazing his face before she moved forward, a quick kiss planted on his cheek. She seemed happy about that, but he still couldn’t help but feel like he was missing something.

Like she knew something he didn’t.

Moving around from his back, Neo settled back next to him.

Corvo rolled his shoulders, his right one lagging behind and drawing out a wince. He’d never had to recover from a stab wound before, but he imagined it shouldn’t take more than a few days since nothing important had been hit.

“Thank you.” He said. Neo’s brow rose again, a finger poking his chest as she blinked, eyes now blue. He was getting better at reading all her gestures but that left him a little stumped. “You want me to show it?” He guessed.

Neo nodded, another blink turning her eyes pink. She laid back on the bed, brow still raised and that smile that always got a rise of embarrassment out of him, in place. Here he was saying he didn’t come here just for sex and she pretty much demanding some form of it as a reward despite being the one to give him all these wounds in the first place.

…its not like he didn’t want It though.

He moved, ignoring the pain from his shoulder as he positioned himself in a kneel between her legs. Neo had already stripped down to nothing but her underwear after having him do the same so she could attend to his injuries so all he had to do was hook his fingers at the edges of her pinkish-white panties and pull them down.

Still unsure when it came to this and just about everything else they did, he opted to just move forward, starting with a faint kiss to her pink lower lip. Physically there wasn’t much of reaction on Neo’s part but a trickle of her clear juices did begin to leak out. This time, tongue out, he gave a single lick, passing over the entrance to her pussy, her sinfully sweet taste lingering on his senses.

Her legs moved a little, more of her juices beginning to gather.

Encourage by that, he put more into it, soon lapping at her pussy. Neo didn’t make much of any noise, but when he listened closely, he could pick up on her heavier breaths. Breaths that hitched as her tongue passed over something of a nub, Neo legs instantly tensing up. Unsure of whether or not that was a good thing, he brought his tongue back towards it, pressing and licking at it. She wasn’t stopping him. Shifting tactics, he tried to wrap his lips around it, Neo’s hands fell onto his head and her legs rose, his head pulled firmly against her as soft thighs settled around his head.

So, it was a good thing as much the ache in his dull shoulder would like to disagree.

Following the signals her body was giving him, he focused his attention between that nub and fully pushing his tongue past her entrance, tongue pressing and rubbing whatever part of her pink folds it could reach. And Neo responded to all of it, her haughty breaths, the tight pressing of her thighs, and the changing grasp she had on his hair all working to give away what felt the best for her. All stuff he placed a critical eye on.

He might not be able to beat her in a fight yet, but if all this was firsts for the both of them, he wasn’t going to fall behind all the things she did for him.

Soon her legs pulled tight enough that he could do anything other than continue drinking up the rush of juices flowing out of. Slowly her hold on his head loosened up, her legs sliding off his shoulders. As she rose up, he pulled back licking and wiping away what remained around his mouth.

Neo patted his head, smiling down at him before gesturing towards the bed.

Moments later, both of them fully stripped down, Neo was on top of him hands on his abs as she lowered herself down onto his rock hard member, his grip on her thighs tightening with each inch she took in.

If this was how Neo always wanted him showing his thanks, there would never be any complaints from him that was for sure.
