WARNING: THIS PODCAST IS CANON

Ajusco Huerta

Just saw LeBron dunk on the Knicks. Truly a sign from above to watch Space Jam and to listen to the pod on the way to work

Deya

there better be something in this about space jam mashups

NowhereMan661

Godzilla and Kong live in the Hollow Earth according to the most recent movies. I assume they're neighbors with Buggs and Daffy.

0:05 OH I AM FFFFFKING PUMPED

Jake

A movie for advertising executives?

Caffeinated Raptor

Getting the Space Jam poster from Blockbuster was my crowing achievement as a 10 year old. I have an old coworker that I swap Space Jame Mashup with still. This movie is foundational and I will not believe that it doesnt hold up! Nothing turns me to dust faster than hearing people younger than me explain what MCI was.

Maris Tiller

I also was shocked as a child to learn that Tv shows and movies weren't done in one take because I was in theater. There are dozens of us!

Olivia

There's a Playmobil Movie?? 😭

Isopod-Gal

I think my favorite consequence of Space Jam's existence is the Sledding with Tigers album, "Come on and Slam", which manages to recap the entire plot of the film as a series of folk punk songs. It's a guilty pleasure album for me, personally.

Ash

I've never thought about the bunny/rabbit dichotomy, but now that you mention it... The only exceptions to the rule that I can think of are Bugs (enby icon, allowed to do drag) and Jessica Rabbit (not actually a rabbit, and she took the name from her husband)

Nicole Pitts

Are you telling me that no one on the host this week has never been to NORTH CAROLINA!!!!???

Argent You Glad I Didn't Say Banana

I think I must have only seen an edited version of Steamboat Willie because the pig tits was news to me and then looking it up because I had no memory of it I was shocked and flabbergasted to see that Mickey does indeed fuck around with a pigs tits. Shameful behavior for a mouse I'm glad he changed his ways

Andrew T. Wilson

I haven't seen the movie since it came out, and, in my head, at least a couple of the Nerdlucks were voiced by Bobcat Goldtwait and Matt Frewer, and it was only in hearing their voices in this episode that I realized I had just overlaid the more interesting characters of Pain and Panic from Disney's Hercules.

Adi

You can tell everyone’s been reviewing the list of bits from Josh’s post

2:07:56 As an Elastigirl enjoyer, the appeal is the cake.

We need more baseball chats on this Also, I covered Tebow in the Arizona Fall League back in 2016, during which he allegedly saved a fan in the stands from a seizure they were having by waving his hands over them

Karl Childers

that's how the toons evolved to be so resilient, because of surviving all the scary monsters

Hercules

As a Rays fan and certified Baseball Pervert™, I second 'more baseball chats' please.

J Coburn

Help! I can’t find the lola rabbit art?

slothlike

can't believe none of you said looney moon

Axel Ottel

Ah, the movie with the Apallingly Flat Newman

Elizabeth Power

I’ve never seen this movie, but my mom had the CD so I have memories of jamming out to. I believe I can fly when I was like 4. I’ll keep these memories, even though R. Kelly is evil. Thanks for making me look up that Seriously song, I thought that was just “the generic sports hype music” Happy October baseball to all!

Hunter Big Johnson

F*** dudes y'all made me hate this movie in love it more at the same time what the f*** is that

Tom Hauptman

Of course LeBron James is a good actor, he's been acting like he got fouled since he still had hair.

Tone Bug

The intro sound design has this Monty Python vibe that is just so so good (the footsteps it’s just the footsteps)

Vamp

Wow, Ebert didn't like The Devils but he liked Space Jam, this man is the opposite of everything I stand for

Tone Bug

I FORGOT ITS THE PIG ON THE FAVORITE BITS POST
